LMA StoneBreaker™ DEVICE DESCRIPTION
Introduction
The LMA StoneBreaker™ is a portable, non-electrical, compact intracorporeal lithotripter, intended for use to fragment stones in the urinary
tract (i.e. kidney, ureter and bladder). It weighs around 500g with a probe and it requires no extraneous electrical or pneumatic connections.
It is powered by a detachable cartridge of high pressure carbon dioxide gas, with a maximum pre-adjusted operating pressure of 31 bar. The
mechanical shock generated by the device is transferred as kinetic energy through the length of the probe to the tip, which is in direct contact
with the stone to be fragmented. The advantage of delivering high pressure at contact is to allow expeditious fragmentation, thereby reducing
operative time. There is very little movement of the probe itself, allowing for safe stone fragmentation.
A LMA StoneBreaker™ carbon dioxide (CO2) gas cartridge typically provides the necessary energy for one surgical procedure. Once the cartridge
is perforated by the built-in screw system,the compressed gas passes through a pre-adjusted pressure regulator in the device and a mechanical
shockwave required for fragmentation of urinary stone is generated when the trigger is depressed. Expended gas will leave the device through
a specially designed exhaust port and the attached exhaust line. The trigger snaps back to its starting position when the gas is expended
through the exhaust port, and the device is now ready for further use.
One full LMA StoneBreaker™ carbon dioxide gas cartridge should allow delivery of at least 80 shocks. The cartridge must be removed from the
device after the completion of the surgical operation to allow complete release of gas from the cartridge.
The LMA StoneBreaker™ is recommended for use with endoscopes equipped with a straight working channel.
CAUTION: Federal (USA) law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a practitioner licensed by state law to use such device.
WARNING: Please read this instruction manual carefully before using the LMA StoneBreaker™.
Components and Accessories
The LMA StoneBreaker™ device is made up of the following main components. (See Figure 1)
• Trigger – Generates the mechanical shockwave required for the fragmentation of the calculus.
• Probe Cap – This holds the probe in place.
• Cartridge Holder – This is to lock and hold the carbon dioxide gas cartridge in place.
• Carbon Dioxide Gas Cartridge –This is the energy source. The LMA StoneBreaker™ carbon dioxide gas cartridges, which are sterilised by Gamma
irradiation and are supplied separately from the device, are surface-sterile only, the gas within the cartridge is not sterile.
CAUTION: The gas cartridge must be removed from the device after the completion of each surgical procedure.
• Exhaust Port – This is for the exhaust of expended carbon dioxide gas from the device.
• Exhaust Line – This flexible tube is attached to the exhaust port to lead the expended gas away from the field of operation.
• Probe – The LMA StoneBreaker™ Probes are supplied in separate stand-alone packaging. The probes are single-use and are sterilised by Gamma
irradiation.
Table 1 indicates the current LMA StoneBreaker™ Probes available for use with the device. Please refer to the product catalogue for the most
up-to-date available product range.

The following accessories are included with the LMA StoneBreaker™:
• Exhaust Cap – Closes the Exhaust Port to prevent moisture from entering the device during cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation.
• Sterilisation Cap – Replaces the carbon dioxide gas cartridge to prevent moisture from entering the device during cleaning, disinfection and
sterilisation.
CAUTION: Use only LMA StoneBreaker™ CO2cartridges and probes; the use of the wrong gas cartridges and/or probes can affect the
device performance and patient safety.
WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS
• The LMA StoneBreaker™ must be used only by specialists trained in endourology and should be used only for the purposes intended. In case of
malfunction or failure of the device, it is recommended that the surgeon has another unit (or other intracorporeal lithotripsy device) on standby
in order to complete the treatment scheduled at the time.
• It is recommended that urologists who have not used an intracorporeal lithotripter before, to execute a few manipulations in vitro with a stone
model in order to learn how to manipulate the device.
• Ensure that the probe tip does not exceed the endoscope channel at the time of introducing the endoscope into the urinary tract.
• The LMA StoneBreaker™ is delivered non-sterile and it must be cleaned, disinfected and sterilised before initial use and before each subsequent
use.
• For the LMA StoneBreaker™ Probe Single Use (sterile) : Do not use if the unit pouch has been previously opened or damaged.
• Do not use the single-use probe more than once. Re-usage of single-use probe increases the risk of patient injury, damage to device or
endoscope or may lead to device malfunction.
• For the LMA StoneBreaker™ carbon dioxide gas cartridge (sterile), do not use if the unit pouch has been previously opened or damaged.
• Do not use the LMA StoneBreaker™ or any of the accessories if they are damaged in any way.
• Do not use the LMA StoneBreaker™ Probe if the O-Ring is missing or if it is damaged in any way.
• It is recommended that extra probes should be available in case of malfunction.
• Ensure the probe size chosen is compatible with the endoscope’s working channel and appropriate for the clinical condition that is being
treated.
• Do not autoclave the carbon dioxide gas cartridge with the LMA StoneBreaker™.
• Never attempt to refill the empty carbon dioxide gas cartridge.
• Never attempt to transfer gas from one carbon dioxide gas cartridge to another.
• Never attempt to disassemble the device.
INTENDED USE
The LMA StoneBreaker™ is intended for the fragmentation of urinary (i.e. kidney, ureter, and bladder) tract stones.
INDICATION FOR USE
The LMA StoneBreaker™ is indicated for use via a rigid or semi-rigid endoscope with a straight working channel, for the fragmentation of
urinary (i.e. kidney, ureter and bladder) tract stones.
ADVERSE EFFECTS
There are no known recorded adverse effects with the use of the LMA StoneBreaker™. However, due to the movement of the endoscope and
high force generated by the LMA StoneBreaker™ device, there is the potential of tissue injuries, should the probe tip be in direct contact with
the mucosal membrane, causing perforation of tissue, pain, bleeding, renal damage and/or infection.
Review of published literature showed that adverse events that may potentially occur with the use of intracorporeal lithotripter include
perforation of the bladder or ureter, bleeding in urinary tract or blood in the urine, pain, renal damage and infection.
Breakage of probe during use, though unlikely, may potentially occur. The practitioner shall then determine the most effective way of
intervention, following all relevant procedures for such intervention.
PREPARATION FOR USE
Before each use, it is necessary to clean, disinfect and sterilise the LMA StoneBreaker™ device and exhaust line. Proper cleaning, disinfection and
sterilisation are essential to ensure continued safe use of the device and accessories.
NOTICE: The LMA StoneBreaker™ Probe Single Use (sterile) and LMA StoneBreaker™ carbon dioxide gas cartridge (sterile) are individually
packed, Gamma-sterilised and ready to use. The following procedure on cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation is not applicable to these sterile,
“ready-to-use” products.
Preparation for Cleaning, Disinfection and Sterilisation
Ensure the sterilisation cap and exhaust cap are screwed tightly in place at the cartridge holder and exhaust port respectively. This is to prevent
moisture from entering the device during cleaning,disinfection and sterilisation.
NOTICE: It is possible for moisture to adversely affect the effective performance of the device. If liquid has penetrated the device, return it to the
manufacturer for servicing.
The hospital’s own protocol for cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation of surgical instruments should be followed whenever possible. The
following is the recommended procedure for cleaning, disinfecting and sterilising the LMA StoneBreaker™ device and exhaust line.

Cleaning
Ensure the probe is not attached to the device. If the probe is still present, unscrew the probe cap to remove the probe. Re-attach the probe cap
back onto the device. Refer to Figure 2.
Thoroughly wash the LMA StoneBreaker™ and its accessories by gently cleaning with a soft bristle brush in warm water using mild detergents
or enzymatic cleaning agents in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions until all visible foreign matter is removed.
Thoroughly rinse the device and accessories in warm running tap water to remove cleaning residue. Carefully inspect to ensure that all
visible foreign matter has been removed. A specific cleaning agent found to be compatible with the LMA StoneBreaker™ and its accessories is
Endozime® (Ruhof, Valley Stream, NY).
Disinfection
Submerge the LMA StoneBreaker™ device and its accessories into a disinfectant solution in accordance to the manufacturer’s instructions.
CAUTION: Ensure the device is watertight by tightening the Sterilisation Cap and Exhaust Cap at their respective locations. One disinfecting
solution that is found to be compatible with the LMA StoneBreaker™ device and accessories is Cidex® OPA (Johnson & Johnson, UK). Submerge
the device and accessories into the Cidex® OPA at room temperature for at least 20 minutes. Thoroughly rinse the disinfected device with sterile
water and dry it.
Sterilisation
Steam autoclaving is the only recommended method for sterilising the LMA StoneBreaker™ device and exhaust line. The device and its
accessories should be placed in a suitable sterilisation bag prior to placing them in a steam autoclave. Steam autoclave the device and
accessories by following the recommendations of the hospitals or the autoclave manufacturer. All steam autoclave cycles typically used for
instruments and porous items are acceptable. One steam sterilisation cycle that is suitable for the LMA StoneBreaker™ device and exhaust line is
to expose the device and accessories to steam at 134°C with a hold time of at least 10 minutes.
WARNING: Do not sterilise the CO2cartridge in an autoclave as the cartridge will explode when heated.
CAUTION: After autoclave sterilisation, do not utilise the LMA StoneBreaker™ in a warm condition, as this may cause damage to the
components within. The following minimum cooling period is required: EITHER ambient air cooling period - 60 minutes minimum OR
sterile water cooling period – 5 minutes minimum.
PROCEDURE
General
The LMA StoneBreaker™ requires effective endoscope manipulation in order to ensure proper direct contact of the probe with the calculus,
with the probe tip protruding from the endoscope working channel by 10mm to 20mm maximum. The choice of the endoscope depends on
the position of the stone (kidney, ureter or bladder). The LMA StoneBreaker™ is recommended for use with a rigid or semi-rigid endoscope
equipped with a straight working channel, and to use the largest probe possible to allow transmission of maximum energy. Table 2 shows the
recommended diameter for the endoscope working channel with the respective LMA StoneBreaker™ probes.

NOTICE: It is recommended that for better and simplified alignment of the working channel and the LMA StoneBreaker™ Probe, endoscope
adaptors that are available from the endoscope manufacturers should be used. Each carbon dioxide gas cartridge should provide sufficient
energy for one typical procedure.
Pre-use Preparation
Prior to the use of the LMA StoneBreaker™ for stone fragmentation, it is recommended that the following checks are carried out:
• Check that the LMA StoneBreaker™ device and its accessories are not damaged in any way.
• For the LMA StoneBreaker™ Probe Single Use (sterile) and the LMA StoneBreaker™ carbon dioxide gas cartridge (sterile), check to ensure the unit
pouch is not damaged or previously opened. Do not use if the unit pouch is damaged or previously opened.
• Remove both the Sterilisation Cap and Exhaust Cap from the LMA StoneBreaker™ device.
• Attach the Exhaust Line onto the Exhaust Port.
• Check and ensure the O-Ring is in the correct position on the probe.
• Remove the Probe Cap from the device and insert the probe through the opening in the Probe Cap. Replace the Probe Cap to the device and
ensure that the probe does not move too freely.
• Insert a new LMA StoneBreaker™ carbon dioxide gas cartridge into the Cartridge Holder and tighten to hold the cartridge in place but NOT
perforating it.
CAUTION: Do NOT perforate the cartridge at this point. Leaving a perforated carbon dioxide gas cartridge in the device for too long
may adversely affect the performance of the device.
Intracorporeal Lithotripsy Procedure
Before the operation, tighten the cartridge holder until the cartridge is perforated. The trigger should now be under pressure. Turn the lever of
the cartridge holder a quarter rounds more to secure the cartridge to the device.
CAUTION: Check that the device is working correctly by depressing the trigger two to three times and ensure the trigger returns to
the original position every time the trigger is released. Position the Exhaust Line away from the head of the operator and ensure it is
properly attached to the Exhaust Port.

CAUTION: Exhaust Line disconnection from the Exhaust Port during use may indicate malfunction of the Pressure Regulator.
Position the probe, through the endoscope working channel, to be in direct contact with the stone.
CAUTION: Ensure proper alignment of probe and endoscope. Any misalignment may damage both the probe and endoscope.
It is recommended that the practitioner ensures that the tip of the probe remains in sight throughout the procedure.
CAUTION: Ensure the probe is extended beyond the tip of the endoscope by 10mm to 20mm to avoid damage to the endoscope.
When ready, hold the device firmly in place and depress the trigger of the LMA StoneBreaker™, which will generate the mechanical shock
required to fragment the targeted stone.
WARNING: Ensure minimal movement of the device and probe. Any significant movement of the device and probe during stone
fragmentation may result in direct contact of the activated probe with tissue resulting in tissue damage and / or bleeding.
Release the trigger and allow it to return to its original position after each depression.
CAUTION: If the trigger cannot be depressed, it may indicate malfunction of the Pressure Regulator.
For subsequent shocks, reposition the device and hold it firmly before depressing the trigger as required.
NOTICE: One new full LMA StoneBreaker™ carbon dioxide cartridge should allow delivery of at least 80 shocks.
Once the procedure is complete, remove the carbon dioxide cartridge from the Cartridge Holder by loosening the lever slowly. This will allow
any remaining gas in the cartridge to escape, thereby emptying the cartridge.
CAUTION: Do not sterilise the spent cartridge with the device.
MAINTENANCE
Though the LMA StoneBreaker™ is designed and manufactured to require minimum maintenance, proper care and maintenance are required
to ensure safe and effective use of the device. The manufacturer recommends that the device and its accessories be carefully checked upon
receipt and prior to each use to prevent injury to the patient or user. Follow the recommendations listed in this Instruction manual for proper
routine maintenance and care of the device.
Defective probes (such as the presence of kink, bent or dent marks along the length of the probe) should be discarded. Other components that
may be damaged and lose their efficiency in maintaining water-tightness of the device are the Sterilisation Cap and Exhaust Cap. Check the
integrity of these components before using them on the device.
EFFECTS ON ENVIRONMENT
This device does not contain any harmful components; follow local statutory requirements / instructions for proper disposal of the non-
functioning devices, probes and other accessories. Never dump the empty carbon dioxide cartridges at sea. The cartridge is made of zinc-plated
and chrome stabilised steel, and should be properly disposed in accordance with local statutory requirements and instructions.
CAUTION: Never dispose an unused carbon dioxide cartridge. Ensure that the cartridge is empty before disposal.
RETURN TO MANUFACTURER
Should there be a need to return the LMA StoneBreaker™ to the manufacturer for investigation or repair, please ensure the product is properly
cleaned, disinfected and sterilised in accordance to the recommendations listed in this instruction manual before shipment.
Please return device in its sterilisation bag (as evidence that the device is sterile), whenever possible. The manufacturer may refuse receipt
of device and / or accessories if it is found that the products are not properly disinfected or sterilised or there is no evidence that it has been
carried out.
MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY
The manufacturer grants a one (1) year warranty from the date of invoice on the LMA StoneBreaker™. The manufacturer warrants the device
against faulty materials and manufacturing defects, provided that the device is used in accordance with the instructions set forth in the
instruction manual. If the device exhibits any such defects or damage, a new unit will be supplied. If covered by the warranty, this will be done
free of charge; otherwise the customer will be invoiced for the cost incurred. This warranty is void if damage is caused by the improper use or
treatment of the device, or damages due to external causes including accident, drops, alteration, or improper installation. Repair may only be
carried out by the manufacturer or any of its authorised service centres. The warranty covering the reliability and proper functioning of the
device is void if the user or any other unauthorised person tries to perform repairs. Single-use products are warranted against faulty materials
or manufacturing defects at time of delivery to customer. Warranty is applicable only if products are purchased from an authorised distributor.
The manufacturer disclaims all other warranties, whether express or implied, including, without limitation, the warranties of merchantability or
fitness for a particular purpose.

v ledvinách, močovodu a močovém měchýři). Jeho hmotnost je přibližně 500 g (včetně sondy) a nepotřebuje žádné externí elektrické nebo
pneumatické přípoje. Je napájen odpojitelnou patronou s vysokotlakým oxidem uhličitým s maximálním přednastaveným provozním tlakem
31 barů. Mechanický ráz vytvořený tímto přístrojem je přenesen ve formě kinetické energie podél sondy do hrotu, který je v přímém kontaktu
s kaménkem, který se má rozdrtit. Výhodou kontaktního přenosu vysokého tlaku je umožnění rychlého rozdrcení, čímž se krátí trvání výkonu.
Samotná sonda se při rozdrcení kaménku pohybuje velmi málo.
Patrona s oxidem uhličitým (CO2) LMA StoneBreaker™ obvykle poskytuje energii nezbytnou k jednomu chirurgickému výkonu. Po perforování
patrony integrovaným šroubovým systémem prochází stlačený plyn přes přednastavený regulátor tlaku v zařízení a po stisknutí spouště se
vytvoří mechanická rázová vlna potřebná k rozdrcení močového kaménku. Expandovaný plyn vyjde ze zařízení přes výpustný port speciální
konstrukce a přes připojenou vypouštěcí linku. Když plyn odejde přes vypouštěcí port, spoušť zapadne zpět do původní polohy a přístroj je
připraven k dalšímu použití.
Jedna plná patrona s oxidem uhličitým LMA StoneBreaker™ umožňuje generování nejméně 80 rázů. Po dokončení chirurgického výkonu se
musí patrona vyjmout z přístroje, aby se z ní vypustil všechen plyn.
LMA StoneBreaker™ se doporučuje používat s endoskopy vybavenými rovným pracovním kanálem.
POZOR: Podle federálních zákonů (USA) je distribuce tohoto přístroje omezena výhradně na prodej lékařem nebo na prodej na
lékařský předpis.

Komponenty a příslušenství
Zařízení LMA StoneBreaker™ je vyrobeno z následujících hlavních komponent. (Viz obrázek 1)
• Spoušť – Generuje mechanické rázové vlny potřebné k rozdrcení konkrementu.
• Čepička sondy – Drží sondu na místě.
• Držák patrony – Slouží k uzamknutí a fixaci polohy patrony s oxidem uhličitým.
• Patrona s oxidem uhličitým – Toto je zdroj energie. Patrony s oxidem uhličitým LMA StoneBreaker™, které jsou sterilizovány gamma zářením, se
dodávají nezávisle na samotném přístroji a sterilní je pouze jejich povrch; plyn uvnitř patrony sterilní není.
POZOR: Po dokončení každého chirurgického výkonu se musí patrona vyjmout z přístroje.
• Vypouštěcí port – Slouží k odvedení vypuštěného plynu z přístroje.
• Vypouštěcí linka – Tato hadička je připojena k vypouštěcímu portu a odvádí vypuštěný plyn z operačního pole.
• Sonda – Zařízení LMA StoneBreaker™ se dodává v samostatném obalu. Sondy jsou na jedno použití a jsou sterilizovány gamma zářením.

K přístroji LMA StoneBreaker™ jsou přiloženy následující položky:
• Čepička vypouštěcího portu – Uzavírá vypouštěcí port, aby do přístroje během čištění, dezinfekce a sterilizace nevnikala vlhkost.
• Čepička pro sterilizaci – Nahrazuje patronu s oxidem uhličitým, aby do přístroje během čištění, dezinfekce a sterilizace nevnikala vlhkost.
POZOR: Používejte výhradně patrony s CO2a sondy LMA StoneBreaker™; použití nesprávných plynových patron a (nebo) sond může
nepříznivě ovlivnit funkci přístroje a bezpečnost pacienta.
VAROVÁNÍ A UPOZORNĚNÍ
• LMA StoneBreaker™ smí používat pouze specialisté se zaškolením v endourologii. Toto zařízení se smí používat pouze k určenému účelu. Pro
případ nesprávné funkce nebo selhání zařízení se doporučuje mít v pohotovosti jinou jednotku (nebo jiné zařízení pro nitrotělní litotrypsi), aby
bylo možno dokončit plánovanou léčbu.
• Urologům, kteří ještě nikdy nepoužívali nitrotělní litotryptor, se doporučuje provést několik manipulací in vitro na modelu kaménku, aby se
naučili se zařízením manipulovat.
• Hrot sondy nesmí při zavádění endoskopu do močových cest vyčnívat z kanálu endoskopu.
• LMA StoneBreaker™ se dodává nesterilní a před prvním použitím a před každým následným použitím se musí vyčistit a vysterilizovat.
• Platí pro sondu LMA StoneBreaker™ na jedno použití (sterilní): Nepoužívejte, pokud byl otevřen či poškozen sáček, ve kterém byla jednotka
zabalena.
• Sondu na jedno použití nepoužívejte více než jednou. Opakované použití sondy na jedno použití zvyšuje riziko poranění pacienta, poškození
přístroje nebo endoskopu a potenciální nesprávné funkce přístroje.
• Patronu s oxidem uhličitým LMA StoneBreaker™ (sterilní) nepoužívejte, pokud byl otevřen či poškozen sáček, ve kterém byla zabalena.
• LMA StoneBreaker™ ani příslušenství nepoužívejte, vykazují-li jakékoli známky poškození.
• Sondu LMA StoneBreaker™ nepoužívejte, pokud chybí těsnicí kroužek nebo pokud je sonda jakkoli poškozená.
• Doporučujeme mít v pohotovosti záložní sondy pro případ selhání.
• Zajistěte, aby zvolená velikost sondy odpovídala pracovnímu kanálu endoskopu a aby byla vhodná pro léčení daného klinického stavu.
• Patronu s oxidem uhličitým nesterilizujte v autoklávu s přístrojem LMA StoneBreaker™.
• Prázdnou patronu na oxid uhličitý se nikdy nepokoušejte plnit.
• Nikdy se nepokoušejte přenášet plyn z jedné patrony na oxid uhličitý do druhé.
• Přístroj se nikdy nepokoušejte demontovat.
URČENÉ POUŽITÍ
LMA StoneBreaker™ je určen k rozdrcení kaménků v močových cestách (tj. v ledvinách, močovodu a močovém měchýři).
INDIKACE
LMA StoneBreaker™ je určen k použití zasunutý přes tuhý nebo polotuhý endoskop s rovným pracovním kanálem a účelem jeho použití je
rozdrcení kaménků v močových cestách (tj. v ledvinách, močovodu a močovém měchýři).
NEŽÁDOUCÍ ÚČINKY
S použitím přístroje LMA StoneBreaker™ nejsou spojeny žádné známé nežádoucí příhody. Nicméně v důsledku pohybu endoskopu a velké síly
rázu generovaného přístrojem LMA StoneBreaker™ existuje riziko poranění tkání v případě, kdy je hrot v přímém kontaktu se slizniční tkání;
může dojít k perforaci tkáně a může se objevit bolest, krvácení a poranění a (nebo) infekce ledvin.
Studiem publikované literatury bylo zjištěno, že nežádoucí příhody, ke kterým může dojít v souvislosti s použitím nitrotělního litotryptoru,
mohou zahrnovat perforaci močového měchýře nebo močovodu, krvácení v močových cestách nebo krev v moči, bolest, poranění a infekce
ledvin.
S velmi nízkou pravděpodobností může dojít ke zlomení sondy během použití. Lékař pak musí určit nejefektivnější způsob zásahu a sledovat
všechny odpovídající výkony s ním související.
PŘÍPRAVA K POUŽITÍ
Přístroj LMA StoneBreaker™ a vypouštěcí linku je nutno před každým použitím vyčistit a vydezinfikovat. Správné čištění, dezinfekce a sterilizace
jsou nezbytně nutné pro zajištění trvalého bezpečného provozu zařízení a jeho příslušenství.
POZNÁMKA: Sonda LMA StoneBreaker™ na jedno použití (sterilní) a patrona s oxidem uhličitým LMA StoneBreaker™ (sterilní) se dodávají v
individuálním obalu, sterilizované gamma zářením a připravené k použití. Následující postup čištění, dezinfekce a sterilizace neplatí pro tyto
sterilní produkty připravené k použití.
Příprava k čištění, dezinfekci a sterilizaci
Na držák patrony pevně našroubujte čepičku pro sterilizaci a na vypouštěcí port pevně našroubujte čepičku na vypouštěcí port. Toto opatření
zabraňuje vniknutí vlhkosti do přístroje během čištění, dezinfekce a sterilizace.
POZNÁMKA: Vlhkost může nepříznivě ovlivnit funkčnost a účinnost přístroje. Pokud do přístroje pronikla vlhkost, pošlete jej výrobci na servis.
Je třeba pokud možno dodržovat protokol daného zdravotnického zařízení pro čištění, dezinfekci a sterilizaci chirurgických nástrojů. Níže je
uveden doporučený postup čištění, dezinfekce a sterilizace přístroje LMA StoneBreaker™ a vypouštěcí linky.

Čištění
Zkontrolujte, zda k přístroji není připojena sonda. Pokud je sonda ještě připojená, vyšroubujte čepičku sondy a sondu odstraňte. Čepičku sondy
opět nasaďte na přístroj. Viz obrázek 2.
LMA StoneBreaker™ a jeho příslušenství důkladně omyjte měkkým kartáčkem v teplé vodě za použití jemného detergentu nebo enzymatického
čisticího prostředku podle pokynů k použití výrobce tak, až se odstraní všechen viditelný cizorodý materiál.
Zařízení a příslušenství důkladně opláchněte pod teplou tekoucí vodou z vodovodu, abyste odstranili zbytky čisticích prostředků. Zařízení
pečlivě prohlédněte, zda byly odstraněny všechny zbytky cizorodého materiálu. Čisticí prostředek kompatibilní se zařízením LMA StoneBreaker™
a jeho příslušenstvím je Endozime® (Ruhof, Valley Stream, NY, USA).
Dezinfekce
Přístroj LMA StoneBreaker™ a jeho příslušenství ponořte do dezinfekčního roztoku podle pokynů výrobce.
POZOR: Vodotěsnost přístroje zajistěte utažením čepičky pro sterilizaci a čepičky vypouštěcího portu na příslušných místech. Dezinfekční
prostředek kompatibilní se zařízením LMA StoneBreaker™ a jeho příslušenstvím je Cidex® OPA (Johnson & Johnson, UK). Přístroj a jeho
příslušenství namočte do roztoku Cidex® OPA při pokojové teplotě nejméně na 20 minut. Dezinfikovaný přístroj důkladně opláchněte sterilní
vodou a osušte.
Sterilizace
Sterilizace párou v autoklávu je jedinou doporučenou metodou sterilizace přístroje LMA StoneBreaker™ a vypouštěcí linky. Přístroj a jeho
příslušenství je nutno před umístěním do parního autoklávu vložit do vhodného sterilizačního sáčku. Přístroj a příslušenství sterilizujte v parním
autoklávu podle doporučení nemocnice nebo výrobce autoklávu. Přijatelné jsou všechny sterilizační cykly parního autoklávu, které se používají
ke sterilizaci nástrojů a porézních předmětů. Příklad parního sterilizačního cyklu vhodného pro přístroj LMA StoneBreaker™ a vypouštěcí linku je
působení páry při 134 stupních C po dobu nejméně 10 minut.
VAROVÁNÍ: Patronu s CO2nesterilizujte v autoklávu, protože zahřátá patrona exploduje.
POZOR: Po sterilizaci v autoklávu nepoužívejte přístroj LMA StoneBreaker™ v horkém stavu, protože by se mohly poškodit vnitřní
součásti. Potřebná je následující minimální doba ochlazení: BUĎ ochlazení při teplotě okolí po dobu nejméně 60 minut, NEBO chlazení
sterilní vodou nejméně po dobu 5 minut.
POSTUP
Obecně
LMA StoneBreaker™ k zajištění správného přímého kontaktu sondy s kaménkem vyžaduje účinnou manipulaci s endoskopem, z jehož
pracovního kanálu vyčnívá sonda 10 mm až maximálně 20 mm. Výběr endoskopu závisí na poloze kaménku (v ledvině, močovodu nebo
močovém měchýři). LMA StoneBreaker™ je určen k použití s tuhým nebo polotuhým endoskopem s rovným pracovním kanálem; má se
použít co největší sonda, aby se umožnil přenos maximální energie. Tabulka 2 ukazuje doporučený průměr pracovního kanálu endoskopu s
příslušnými sondami LMA StoneBreaker™.

POZNÁMKA: Pro lepší a jednodušší spojení pracovního kanálu a sondy LMA StoneBreaker™ se doporučuje použít adaptéry na endoskop, které
dodává výrobce endoskopu. Každá patrona s oxidem uhličitým by měla poskytnout energii nezbytnou k jednomu obvyklému výkonu.
Příprava před použitím
Před použitím přístroje LMA StoneBreaker™ k rozdrcení kaménků se doporučuje provést následující kontroly:
• Zkontrolujte, zda LMA StoneBreaker™ ani příslušenství nevykazují žádné známky poškození.
• Zkontrolujte sondu LMA StoneBreaker™ na jedno použití (sterilní) a patronu s oxidem uhličitým LMA StoneBreaker™ (sterilní), zda není
poškozený nebo otevřený sáček, ve kterém jsou zabaleny. Položky, jejichž sáček byl otevřen či poškozen, nepoužívejte.
• Z přístroje LMA StoneBreaker™ odstraňte čepičku pro sterilizaci a čepičku na vypouštěcí port.
• K vypouštěcímu portu připojte vypouštěcí linku.
• Zkontrolujte správnou polohu těsnicího kroužku na sondě.
• Z přístroje odstraňte čepičku sondy a provlečte sondu otvorem v čepičce sondy. Čepičku sondy vraťte na přístroj a zajistěte, aby se sonda
nepohybovala příliš volně.
• Novou patronu s oxidem uhličitým LMA StoneBreaker™ nasaďte do držáku patrony a utáhněte tak, aby patrona držela na místě, ale aby
NEDOŠLO k jejímu propíchnutí.
POZOR: V tomto okamžiku patronu NEPROPICHUJTE. Pokud ponecháte propíchnutou patronu s oxidem uhličitým příliš dlouho
v přístroji, může to negativně ovlivnit funkci přístroje.
Postup nitrotělní litotrypse
Před operací utáhněte držák patrony tak, až dojde k propíchnutí patrony. Spoušť by nyní měla být pod tlakem. Otočte páčku držáku patrony
o čtvrt otáčky dále, abyste patronu zajistili k přístroji.
POZOR: Zkontrolujte správnou funkci přístroje: dvakrát nebo třikrát stiskněte spoušť a zkontrolujte, zda se po každém uvolnění
spoušť vrátí do původní polohy. Vypouštěcí linku uložte tak, aby nesměřovala k hlavě operatéra, a zajistěte její správné připojení
k vypouštěcímu portu.

POZOR: Odpojení vypouštěcí linky od vypouštěcího portu během použití může být známkou nesprávné funkce regulátoru tlaku.
Umístěte sondu přes pracovní kanál endoskopu tak, aby byla v přímém kontaktu s kaménkem.
POZOR: Zajistěte správné sestavení sondy a endoskopu. Při nesprávném sestavení se může poškodit jak sonda, tak endoskop.
Lékaři se doporučuje, aby hrot sondy udržoval po celou dobu výkonu v zorném poli.
POZOR: Zkontrolujte, zda sonda vyčnívá z endoskopu 10 mm až 20 mm, abyste předešli poškození endoskopu.
Až bude vše připraveno, podržte zařízení pevně na místě a stiskněte spoušť přístroje LMA StoneBreaker™, který vyvine mechanickou rázovou
vlnu potřebnou k rozdrcení cílového kaménku.
VAROVÁNÍ: Pohyb zařízení a sondy musí být minimální. Jakýkoli podstatný pohyb zařízení a sondy během fragmentace kaménku může
způsobit přímý kontakt aktivované sondy s tkání s následným poraněním tkáně a (nebo) krvácením.
Uvolněte spoušť a po každém stisknutí ji nechte vrátit do původní polohy.
POZOR: Pokud spoušť nelze stisknout, může to být známka poruchy regulátoru tlaku.
Při následných rázech přemístěte zařízení a držte je pevně na místě a pak teprve podle potřeby stiskněte spoušť.
POZNÁMKA: Jedna nová plná patrona s oxidem uhličitým LMA StoneBreaker™ má umožnit generování nejméně 80 rázů.
Po dokončení výkonu vyjměte patronu s oxidem uhličitým z držáku patrony tak, že pomalu uvolníte páčku. Tím umožníte únik zbytku plynu
z patrony, čímž se patrona vyprázdní.
POZOR: Upotřebenou patronu nesterilizujte se zařízením.
ÚDRŽBA
Ačkoli je LMA StoneBreaker™ zkonstruován a vyroben s ohledem na minimální údržbu, k zajištění jeho bezpečného a efektivního provozu, je
potřeba správná péče a údržba. Výrobce doporučuje přístroj a jeho příslušenství po obdržení a před každým použitím pečlivě zkontrolovat, aby
se zamezilo riziku poranění pacienta nebo uživatele. Při správné údržbě přístroje a péči o něj postupujte podle doporučení uvedených v tomto
návodu k obsluze.
Vadné sondy (u nichž se kdekoli vyskytují známky přiskřípnutí, ohnutí nebo zářezů) se musí zlikvidovat. Dalšími komponentami, které mohou
být poškozeny s následnou ztrátou účinnosti při zachování vodotěsnosti přístroje, jsou čepička pro sterilizaci a čepička na vypouštěcí port. Před
nasazením na přístroj zkontrolujte celistvost těchto komponent.
ÚČINKY NA ŽIVOTNÍ PROSTŘEDÍ
Tento přístroj neobsahuje žádné komponenty škodlivé zdraví nebo životnímu prostředí. Při likvidaci nefunkčních přístrojů, sond a jiného
příslušenství postupujte podle požadavků nebo instrukcí místních správních orgánů. Prázdné patrony na oxid uhličitý nikdy neodhazujte do
moře. Patrona je vyrobena z pozinkované chromové oceli a musí se zlikvidovat správným způsobem v souladu s požadavky a instrukcemi
místních správních orgánů.
POZOR: Nepoužité patrony s oxidem uhličitým nikdy nevyhazujte. Před likvidací zkontrolujte, zda je patrona prázdná.
VRÁCENÍ PRODUKTU VÝROBCI
Pokud je zapotřebí vrátit přístroj LMA StoneBreaker™ výrobci k přezkoumání nebo opravě, zajistěte prosím před odesláním jeho správné
vyčištění, dezinfekci a sterilizaci podle doporučení uvedených v tomto návodu k obsluze.
Přístroj pokud možno posílejte ve sterilizačním sáčku (který slouží jako důkaz jeho sterility). Výrobce může odmítnout příjem přístroje a (nebo)
jeho příslušenství, pokud shledá, že nejsou správně dezinfikovány nebo sterilizovány nebo chybí-li důkaz dezinfekce a sterilizace.
ZÁRUKA VÝROBCE
Výrobce poskytuje záruku jeden (1) rok od data fakturace přístroje LMA StoneBreaker™. Výrobce zaručuje bezchybnost materiálu a zpracování za
předpokladu, že je přístroj používán v souladu s výše uvedenými pokyny v návodu k použití. Vykazuje-li přístroj jakékoli takové poškození nebo
závadu, bude dodána nová jednotka. Jedná-li se o záruční plnění, bude provedeno zdarma; v opačném případě budou zákazníkovi fakturovány
vynaložené náklady. Tato záruka je neplatná, pokud je poškození způsobeno nesprávným použitím přístroje nebo manipulací s ním nebo
pokud jsou škody způsobeny vnějšími příčinami, například nehodou, upadnutím, změnou nebo chybnou instalací. Opravu smí provádět pouze
výrobce nebo kterékoli autorizované servisní středisko. Záruka spolehlivosti a správné funkce přístroje je neplatná, pokud se opravu pokusí
provést uživatel nebo jiná neoprávněná osoba. U výrobků na jedno použití se poskytuje záruka na vady materiálu a zpracování v době jejich
dodání k zákazníkovi. Záruka platí pouze za předpokladu, že jsou výrobky zakoupeny u autorizovaného distributora. Výrobce popírá jakékoli
jiné záruky, ať vyjádřené, či mlčky předpokládané, včetně všech záruk prodejnosti nebo připravenosti k použití.

LMA StoneBreaker™ BESKRIVELSE AF ANORDNINGEN
Indføring
LMA StoneBreaker™ er en bærbar, ikke-elektrisk, kompakt intrakorporal lithotripter, som er beregnet til at knuse sten i urinvejen (dvs. nyre,
ureter og blære). Den vejer ca. 500 g med en sonde, og den kræver ingen eksterne elektriske eller trykluftsforbindelser. Den tilføres energi fra
et aftageligt magasin med højtrykskuldioxidgas med et maksimalt, forudindstillet betjeningstryk på 31 bar (3100 kPa). Det mekaniske stød,
som frembringes af anordningen, overføres som kinetisk energi gennem sondens længde til spidsen, som er i direkte kontakt med den sten,
der skal knuses. Fordelen ved at tilføre højt tryk ved kontakt er at tillade hurtig knusning, hvorved operationstiden nedsættes. Der er meget lidt
bevægelse i selve sonden, hvilket tillader sikker stenknusning.
Et LMA StoneBreaker™ kuldioxidgas (CO2)-magasin giver normalt den nødvendige energi til et kirurgisk indgreb. Når magasinet er perforeret
af det indbyggede skruesystem, passerer den komprimerede gas gennem en forudindstillet trykregulator i anordningen, og der genereres en
mekanisk trykbølge, som er nødvendig til knusning af urinsten, når der trykkes på udløseren. Opbrugt gas forlader anordningen gennem en
specielt konstrueret udledningsport og den tilsluttede udledningsslange. Udløseren klikker tilbage på dens startposition, når gassen strømmer
ud gennem udledningsporten, og anordningen er nu klar til yderligere brug.
Et fuldt LMA StoneBreaker™ magasin med kuldioxidgas vil kunne levere mindst 80 stød. Magasinet skal fjernes fra anordningen, når det
kirurgiske indgreb er udført, så fuldstændig frigivelse af gas fra magasinet kan finde sted.
LMA StoneBreaker™ anbefales til brug med endoskoper, der er udstyret med en lige arbejdskanal.

Komponenter og tilbehør
LMA StoneBreaker™-anordningen er fremstillet af følgende hovedkomponenter. (Se Figur 1)
• Udløser – Genererer den mekaniske trykbølge, som er nødvendig til at knuse stenene.
• Sondehætte – Dette holder sonden på plads.
• Magasinholder – Dette har til formål at låse og holde magasinet med kuldioxidgas på plads.
• Magasin med kuldioxidgas – Dette er en energikilde. LMA StoneBreaker™-magasinerne med kuldioxidgas, som er steriliseret med
gammabestråling og som leveres særskilt fra anordningen, er kun overfladesterile, idet gassen inden i magasinet ikke er sterilt.
FORSIGTIG: Gasmagasinet skal fjernes fra anordningen, når hvert kirurgisk indgreb er udført.
• Udledningsport – Denne port er beregnet til udledningen af opbrugt kuldioxidgas fra anordningen.
• Udledningsslange – Denne fleksible slange er tilsluttet udledningsporten med henblik på at føre den opbrugte gas væk fra operationsfeltet.
• Sonde – LMA StoneBreaker™-sonder leveres i særskilte pakker. Sonderne er til engangsbrug og steriliseres med gammabestråling.

Følgende tilbehør er inkluderet med LMA StoneBreaker™:
• Udledningshætte – Lukker udledningsporten for at forhindre fugt i at trænge ind i anordningen under rengøring, desinfektion og sterilisering.
• Steriliseringshætte – Erstatter magasinet med kuldioxidgas for at forhindre, at fugt trænger ind i anordningen under rengøring, desinfektion og
sterilisering.
FORSIGTIG: Brug kun LMA StoneBreaker™ CO2-magasiner og sonder. Brug af de forkerte gasmagasiner og/eller sonder kan påvirke
anordningens funktion og patientens sikkerhed.
ADVARSLER OG FORHOLDSREGLER
• LMA StoneBreaker™ må kun anvendes af specialister, der er trænet i endourologi og bør kun bruges til de tilsigtede formål. I tilfælde af at
anordningen fejlfungerer eller svigter, anbefales det, at kirurgen har en anden enhed (eller en anden intrakorporal lithotripsi-anordning) klar og
til rådighed for at kunne fuldføre den aktuelt planlagte behandling.
• Det anbefales, at urologer, som ikke tidligere har anvendt en intrakorporal lithotripter, foretager et par manipulationer in vitro med en
stenmodel for at lære hvorledes anordningen håndteres.
• Sørg for, at sondespidsen ikke rager forbi endoskopkanalens distale åbning på tidspunktet for indføring af endoskopet i urinvejen.
• LMA StoneBreaker™ leveres usteril og skal rengøres, desinficeres og steriliseres inden første anvendelse og før hver efterfølgende anvendelse.
• For LMA StoneBreaker™-engangssonde (steril): Må ikke anvendes, hvis enhedsposen er anbrudt eller beskadiget.
• Engangssonden må ikke anvendes mere end én gang. Genanvendelse af en engangssonde øger risikoen for patientskade, beskadigelse af
anordningen eller endoskopet, eller det kan resultere i, at anordningen fejlfungerer.
• For LMA StoneBreaker™-magasin med kuldioxidgas (steril): Må ikke anvendes, hvis enhedsposen er anbrudt eller beskadiget.
• Anvend ikke LMA StoneBreaker™ eller noget af tilbehøret, hvis det er beskadiget på nogen måde.
• Anvend ikke LMA StoneBreaker™-sonden, hvis O-ringen mangler, eller hvis den er beskadiget på nogen måde.
• Det anbefales, at have ekstra sonder til rådighed i tilfælde af fejlfunktion.
• Sørg for, at den valgte sondestørrelse er kompatibel med endoskopernes arbejdskanal, og at den er hensigtsmæssig for den tilstand, som skal
behandles.
• Magasinet med kuldioxidgas må ikke autoklaves med LMA StoneBreaker™.
• Forsøg aldrig at genopfylde det tomme magasin med kuldioxidgas.
• Forsøg aldrig at overføre gas fra et magasin med kuldioxidgas til et andet.
• Forsøg aldrig at adskille anordningen.
TILSIGTET ANVENDELSE
LMA StoneBreaker™ er beregnet til knusning af sten i urinvejen (dvs. nyre, ureter og blære).
INDIKATION
LMA StoneBreaker™ er indiceret til brug gennem et stift eller halvstift endoskop med en lige arbejdskanal til knusning af sten i urinvejen (dvs.
nyre, ureter og blære).
BIVIRKNINGER
Der er ingen kendte, registrerede bivirkninger i forbindelse med brugen af LMA StoneBreaker™. På grund af endoskopets bevægelse og den
store kraft, som genereres af LMA StoneBreaker™-anordningen, er der mulighed for vævsskader, hvis sondespidsen er i direkte kontakt med
slimhinden, hvilket kan forårsage vævsperforation, smerter, blødning, nyreskade og/eller infektion.
Gennemgang af offentliggjort litteratur viste, at bivirkninger, som kan opstå med brugen af en intrakorporal lithotripter, inkluderer perforation
af blæren eller ureter, blødning i urinvejen eller blod i urinen, smerter, nyreskade og infektion.
Brud på sonden under brug kan potentielt forekomme, men det er dog usandsynligt. Lægen skal dernæst afgøre den mest effektive form for
intervention og følge alle relevante procedurer for en sådan intervention.
KLARGØRING
Før hver brug er det nødvendigt at rengøre, desinficere og sterilisere LMA StoneBreaker™-anordningen og udledningsslangen. Korrekt
rengøring, desinfektion og sterilisering er essentielt for at sikre fortsat sikker brug af anordningen og tilbehøret.
BEMÆRK: LMA StoneBreaker™-engangssonden (steril) og LMA StoneBreaker™-magasinet med kuldioxidgas (sterilt) er pakket individuelt,
steriliseret med gammabestråling og klar til brug. Følgende procedure vedrørende rengøring, desinfektion og sterilisering er ikke gældende for
disse sterile, brugsklare produkter.
Klargøring til rengøring, desinfektion og sterilisering
Sørg for, at steriliseringshætten og udledningshætten er skruet godt fast ved hhv. magasinholderen og udledningsporten. Dette er for at
forhindre fugt i at trænge ind i anordningen under rengøring, desinfektion og sterilisering.
BEMÆRK: Det er muligt, at fugt kan have negativ indvirkning på anordningens effektive funktion. Hvis fugt er trængt ind i anordningen, skal
den returneres til producenten med henblik på service.
Hospitalets egen protokol for rengøring, desinfektion og sterilisering af kirurgiske instrumenter skal følges, hvor det er muligt. Følgende er den
anbefalede procedure for rengøring, desinfektion og sterilisering af LMA StoneBreaker™-anordningen og udledningsslangen.

Rengøring
Sørg for, at sonden ikke er tilsluttet anordningen. Hvis sonden stadig er til stede, skal sondehætten skrues af for at fjerne sonden. Sæt
sondehætten på anordningen igen. Se Figur 2.
Vask LMA StoneBreaker™ og dens tilbehør grundigt ved forsigtigt at rengøre med en blød børste i varmt vand med brug af milde vaskemidler
eller enzymatiske rengøringsmidler i overensstemmelse med producentens anvisninger, indtil alt synligt fremmedmateriale er fjernet.
Skyl anordningen og tilbehør grundigt i varmt, rindende vand for at fjerne rester af rengøringsmiddel. Se komponenterne grundigt efter for at
sikre, at alt synligt fremmedmateriale er blevet fjernet. Et specifikt rengøringsmiddel, som vides at være kompatibelt med LMA StoneBreaker™
og dens tilbehør, er Endozime® (Ruhof, Valley Stream, NY, USA).
Desinfektion
Nedsænk LMA StoneBreaker™-anordningen og dens tilbehør i en desinfektionsopløsning i overensstemmelse med producentens anvisninger.
FORSIGTIG: Sørg for, at anordningen er vandtæt ved at tilspænde steriliseringshætten og udledningshætten på deres respektive placeringer.
Cidex® OPA (Johnson & Johnson, Storbritannien) er en desinfektionsopløsning, som vides at være kompatibel med LMA StoneBreaker™-
anordningen og tilbehør. Nedsænk anordningen og tilbehør i Cidex® OPA ved stuetemperatur i mindst 20 minutter. Skyl den desinficerede
anordning grundigt med sterilt vand og aftør den.
Sterilisering
Dampautoklavering er den eneste anbefalede metode til sterilisering af LMA StoneBreaker™-anordningen og udledningsslangen. Anordningen
og dens tilbehør skal anbringes i en egnet steriliseringspose, inden de placeres i en dampautoklave. Anordningen og tilbehør steriliseres i
dampautoklave ifølge hospitalets eller autoklaveproducentens anbefalinger. Alle dampautoklavecykluser, som sædvanligvis anvendes til
instrumenter og porøse genstande, er acceptable. Eksponering af anordningen og tilbehør for damp ved 134 °C med en ventetid på mindst
10 minutter er en dampsteriliseringscyklus, som er egnet til LMA StoneBreaker™-anordningen og udledningsslangen.
ADVARSEL: CO2magasinet må ikke steriliseres i en autoklave, da magasinet vil eksplodere, når det opvarmes.
FORSIGTIG: Efter sterilisering i autoklave må LMA StoneBreaker™ ikke anvendes i varm tilstand, da det kan beskadige komponenterne
i anordningen. Følgende minimumsafkølingsperiode er nødvendig: ENTEN en afkølingsperiode i omgivende luft – mindst 60 minutter
ELLER en afkølingsperiode i sterilt vand i mindst 5 minutter.
PROCEDURE
Generelle
LMA StoneBreaker™ kræver effektiv manipulation af endoskopet for at sikre korrekt direkte kontakt mellem sonden og stenen, og sondespidsen
må højst rage 10-20 mm ud af endoskopets arbejdskanal. Valg af endoskop afhænger af stenens position (nyre, ureter eller blære). LMA
StoneBreaker™ anbefales til brug med et stift eller et halvstift endoskop med en lige arbejdskanal. Endvidere anbefales det at bruge den
størst mulige sonde for at tillade overføring af maksimal energi. Tabel 2 viser den anbefalede diameter for endoskopets arbejdskanal med de
respektive LMA StoneBreaker™-sonder.

BEMÆRK: Det anbefales at anvende endoskopadaptere, der fås fra producenterne af endoskopet, for at opnå en bedre og enklere justering af
arbejdskanalen og LMA StoneBreaker™-sonden. Hvert magasin med kuldioxidgas giver sædvanligvis tilstrækkelig energi til et typisk indgreb.
Klargøring før brug
Inden LMA StoneBreaker™ bruges til stenknusning anbefales det at foretage følgende kontrolfunktioner:
• Kontrollér, at LMA StoneBreaker™-anordningen og dens tilbehør ikke er beskadiget på nogen måde.
• Kontrollér, at enhedsposen til LMA StoneBreaker™-engangssonden (steril) og LMA StoneBreaker™-magasinet med kuldioxidgas (sterilt) ikke er
beskadiget eller anbrudt. Produkterne må ikke anvendes, hvis enhedsposen er beskadiget eller anbrudt.
• Fjern både steriliseringshætten og udledningshætten fra LMA StoneBreaker™-anordningen.
• Sæt udledningsslangen på udledningsporten.
• Kontrollér, at O-ringen er i den korrekte position på sonden.
• Fjern sondehætten fra anordningen og før sonden gennem åbningen i sondehætten. Sæt sondehætten på anordningen igen og kontrollér, at
sonden ikke bevæger sig for frit.
• Indfør et nyt LMA StoneBreaker™-magasin til kuldioxidgas i magasinholderen og tilspænd tilstrækkeligt til at magasinet holdes på plads, men
IKKE så meget, at magasinet perforeres.
FORSIGTIG: Magasinet må IKKE perforeres på dette tidspunkt. Hvis et perforeret magasin til kuldioxidgas bliver siddende i
anordningen i for lang tid, kan det påvirke anordningens funktion i negativ retning.
Intrakorporalt lithotripsi-indgreb
Inden operationen tilspændes magasinholderen, indtil magasinet perforeres. Udløseren vil nu være under tryk. Drej grebet på magasinholderen
en kvart omgang mere for at fastgøre magasinet på anordningen.
FORSIGTIG: Kontrollér, at anordningen fungerer korrekt ved at trykke udløseren ned to til tre gange og kontrollér, at udløseren vender
tilbage til den oprindelige position, hver gang udløseren slippes. Anbring udledningsslangen væk fra operatørens hoved og sørg for,
at den er korrekt sluttet til udledningsporten.

FORSIGTIG: Frakobling af udledningsslangen fra udledningsporten under brug kan være tegn på, at trykregulatoren fungerer forkert.
Anbring sonden gennem endoskopets arbejdskanal således, at den er i direkte kontakt med stenen.
FORSIGTIG: Sørg for korrekt justering af sonde og endoskop. Forkert justering kan beskadige både sonden og endoskopet.
Det anbefales, at lægen sikrer sig, at sondens spids er synlig under hele indgrebet.
FORSIGTIG: Kontrollér, at sonden rager forbi endoskopets spids med 10-20 mm for at undgå beskadigelse af endoskopet.
Når lægen er klar, fastholdes anordningen i position og der trykkes på udløseren på LMA StoneBreaker™, som genererer det mekaniske stød,
som er nødvendigt til at knuse den relevante sten.
ADVARSEL: Sørg for, at anordningen og sonden bevæger sig mindst muligt. Enhver signifikant bevægelse af anordningen og sonden
under stenknusning kan resultere i direkte kontakt mellem den aktiverede sonde og væv, og dermed i vævsskade og/eller blødning.
Slip udløseren, og lad den vende tilbage til dens oprindelige position efter hvert tryk ned på udløseren.
FORSIGTIG: Hvis udløseren ikke kan trykkes ned, kan det være tegn på, at trykregulatoren fungerer forkert.
Anbring anordningen i position igen og hold den godt fast ved hvert efterfølgende stød, inden udløseren trykkes ned, efter behov.
BEMÆRK: Et nyt fyldt LMA StoneBreaker™-magasin med kuldioxidgas vil sædvanligvis kunne give mindst 80 stød.
Når indgrebet er udført, fjernes magasinet med kuldioxidgas fra magasinholderen ved at løsne grebet langsomt. Dette vil tillade, at evt.
resterende gas i magasinet kan slippe ud, hvorved magasinet tømmes.
FORSIGTIG: Det opbrugte magasin må ikke steriliseres med anordningen.
VEDLIGEHOLDELSE
Selv om LMA StoneBreaker™ er udviklet og fremstillet til at kræve minimal vedligeholdelse, er det nødvendigt med korrekt pleje og
vedligeholdelse for at sikre sikker og effektiv brug af anordningen. Producenten anbefaler, at anordningen og dens tilbehør kontrolleres
omhyggeligt ved modtagelsen og inden hver brug for at forhindre skade på patienten eller brugeren. Følg anbefalinger i denne
instruktionsmanual for korrekt rutinemæssig vedligeholdelse og pleje af anordningen.
Defekte sonder (f.eks. ved tilstedeværelse af knæk, buk eller buler langs sondens længde) skal bortskaffes. Andre komponenter, som kan
være beskadigede og ikke længere være effektive med hensyn til at opretholde anordningens vandtætte funktion, er steriliseringshætten og
udledningshætten. Kontrollér, at disse komponenter er intakte, inden de bruges på anordningen.
MILJØINDVIRKNINGER
Denne anordning indeholder ingen skadelige komponenter. Følg lokale lovbestemmelser/anvisninger vedrørende korrekt bortskaffelse af
anordninger, sonder og andet tilbehør, som ikke længere fungerer. De tomme kuldioxidmagasiner må aldrig smides i havet. Magasinet er lavet
af stål belagt med zink og stabiliseret med krom, og det skal bortskaffes på korrekt vis i overensstemmelse med lokale lovbestemmelser og
anvisninger.
FORSIGTIG: Bortskaf aldrig et ubrugt kuldioxidmagasin. Kontrollér, at magasinet er tomt, inden det bortskaffes.
RETURNERES TIL PRODUCENTEN
Hvis der er behov for at returnere LMA StoneBreaker™ til producenten med henblik på undersøgelse eller reparation, bedes det sikres, at
produktet er korrekt rengjort, desinficeret og steriliseret i overensstemmelse med anbefalingerne i denne instruktionsmanual inden afsending.
Returnér venligst anordningen i dens steriliseringspose (som bevis på, at anordningen er steril), når det er muligt. Producenten kan afvise
modtagelse af anordningen og/eller tilbehøret, hvis det konstateres, at produkterne ikke er korrekt desinficerede eller steriliserede, eller der
ingen bevis er for, at dette er blevet udført.
PRODUCENTENS GARANTI
Producenten giver en garanti på et (1) år fra fakturadatoen på LMA StoneBreaker™. Producenten giver garanti for, at anordningen ikke
har fejlbehæftede materialer og fremstillingsdefekter, forudsat at anordningen anvendes i overensstemmelse med anvisningerne i denne
instruktionsmanual. En ny enhed vil blive leveret, hvis anordningen har sådanne defekter eller beskadigelse. Hvis det er dækket af garantien,
vil dette være gratis. I modsat fald vil kunden blive faktureret for de påløbne udgifter. Denne garanti er ugyldig, hvis beskadigelse er
forårsaget pga. forkert brug eller behandling af anordningen, eller skader pga. eksterne årsager, herunder uheld, tab, ændring eller forkert
installation. Reparation må kun udføres af producenten eller et servicecenter, som er autoriseret af producenten. Garantien, som dækker
anordningens pålidelighed og korrekte funktion, er ugyldig, hvis brugeren eller en anden ubemyndiget person forsøger at udføre reparationer.
Engangsprodukter har garanti mod fejlbehæftede materialer eller fremstillingsfejl på leveringstidspunktet til kunden. Garantien er kun gyldig,
hvis produkterne købes fra en autoriseret distributør. Producenten fraskriver sig alle andre garantier, hvad enten udtrykte eller underforståede,
herunder, uden begrænsning, garantierne for salgbarhed eller egnethed til et særligt formål.
