1. Introduction
TheViper deLuxeisthetouringversionoftheViper2.6resp.ViperNT.
Builtintoarobustightcasewithapowerfulfan,theViper deLuxeisreadyforanyuse.
Newfeaturesmakeiteveneasiertouse-placingandfoggingwithoutwastingalotof
timesettingandpreparing.
Thenew20Lattankcanbelledconvenientlyandeasily,guaranteeingalongerope-
ratingtime.
Thecastordishesallowforeasyandsafestackingandstowingoftheequipment.
Theperformanceofthemachineallowsapplicationsfromsmallclubstolargehalls,festivals
andevents,aswellasuseforairoworleaktestinginlargebuildings.
Theintendeduseofthedeviceistocreatearticialfog.

2. Safety instructions
• Veryhotsteamescapesfromthenozzle.Dangerofgettingburnt.
• Occasionallyveryhotdropletsofuidmayescapewheninoperation.Thusneveraimat
personsdirectlyandkeepaminimumdistanceof3mtothenozzle.
• Nevertouchthenozzlewheninoperation.Dangerofgettingburnt.
• Thelocationforthemachinemustbenon-ammable,non-combustibleandnotsensitive
toheat.Ithastobetwiceasbigasthemachine.
• Keepaminimumdistanceof60cmtoallammable,combustibleobjectsandobjects
sensitivetoheat.
• Glycolisalcoholandburnswithaslightlybluish,almostinvisibleame.Neverpointthe
fogatstrongsourcesofignitionlikereorpyrotechniceects.
• Neveropenthemachineandleavethemachineunattendedwhenconnectedtoapower
supply.
• Itisonlyallowedtoy/hangthemachinebyusingtheoriginalhangingset.
• Thevisibilityhastobemorethan2minroomswherepeoplewalkaround.
• Donotswallowthefoguid.Keepitawayfromchildren.Incaseofeyecontact,rinse
withalotofwater.Consultadoctorshouldyouhaveaccidentallyswallowedsomeuid.
• Spilleduidorsplasheduiddropletscancausesliphazard.Mopuptheuidanddispose
ofitaccordingtoregulations.
• Fogmayactivatesmokedetectors.
Articially-madefogcanbeproducedinmanydierentways.Themethodusedhereto
producefog,withadevicewhichworksaccordingtothevaporizerprinciple,isthemost
harmlessone.
Nocasehassofarbeenreportedinwhichasoundhumanbeinghasbeenharmedbecause
ofusingourdevicetoproducearticialfog.However,thiscanonlybeguaranteedifthe
professionalfoggeneratorsareusedaccordingly,i.e.atthecorrectvaporizationtemperatures
aswellaswiththecorrectlymixedfoguid.
We,however,recommend:People with health problems or problems of the respiratory
tract or with an inclination for allergies should avoid any contact with articially-made fog.
A fog machine is not a toy!

4.2 Relling the uid tank
– Disconnectthetanklidbypressingthespringsinthengerrecessesinwardsandliftout
thecover.
– Disconnecttheuidtubefromthelidbypressingthequickcoupling[13]andremoving
theplasticspigot[12].
– LoosentheVelcroandtiltthecanisterabout45degrees.
– Torell,unscrewthelargebluecapfromthecanisterandllthetankwithuid.
– TiltthecanisterbackinanuprightpositionandtightenitwiththeVelcrostrap.
– Pushtheplasticspigot[12]intothequickcoupling[13],untilyouhearaclick.Thespigot
isnowlockedrmly.
4.1 General notes
Beforerellingtheuidcanister,makesurethattherearenoimpuritiesinsidethetank.
Ifnecessary,thecanistermustberinsedout.Thiswillpreventcloggingoftheheater.
TheViper deLuxe hasbeendesignedtobeusedwithoriginalLookfoguids.
ThefollowingLookfoguidsareavailable:
Quick-Fog  thick,quickdisappearingfoguid
Regular-Fog  thick,longlastingfoguid
Slow-Fog  thick,extremelylonglastingfoguid
IfuidshavebeenusedotherthanLookfoguidswecan‘tgrantwarranty.
PLEASE NOTE:Thevaporizerofourmachines does not havetobecleaned!Cleaners,
availableonthemarket,candamagethevaporizer!Wecannotgrantwarrantyinthiscase.

5.2 Putting into operation
Removethefrontcasecover.Therearcovercanremainonthecase.Simplyreleasethe
upperpartbypressingthespringsinthengerrecessesinwardandfoldingthecoverdown.
Thecontrolboxcanthenbeoperatedwithoutanyproblems.Theconnectionsforthefog
generatorandfanarealreadyconnectedtothecontrolbox.

operatingboxandinsertthe mains plugintoan earthed socket. Makesurethat the
correctoperatingvoltage(230V/50Hz)isavailable.
 InthedisplayofthecontrolboxappearseitherthelaststoredDMXaddress(ifthedevice
isconnectedviaDMX)oraPandtwonumbers(seegureabove).
5.1 Selecting the location
ThelocationinwhichtheViper deLuxeisoperatedshould
– bedry,
– befreefromdustyorpollutedair,
– befreefromvibrations,
– beannon-ammableplaceorsurface,
– bewell-ventilatedwithfog-freeairkeepingtheambientoperatingtemperaturebetween
5°Cand45°Candtherelativeairhumiditybelow80%.

5.3 Switching the device o
a. PresstheModebuttonuntil„OFF”appearsonthedisplay.After15secondsthemachine
willswitchoautomatically.Ontherightbottomedgeofthedisplayareddotwillappear,
indicatingthatthemachineisnotheatinganymore.
 Youcanalsoswitchothemachinewithinthese15secondsbypressingthe
 Enterbutton.
b. IftheDMXsignalislost,thedevicewillbeswitchedoautomaticallyafter15seconds
forsafetyreasons.

5.4 Operating via DMX 512
ConnecttheViper deLuxetoaDMX-deskusingthe5pin-XLRsocket„DMXin“ofthecon-
trolbox.AssoonasthemachinereceivesacorrectDMXsignal,theyellowDMX-LEDshines.
Nowthepumpandthefancanbeadjustedviathelightingconsole.
Please note:
TheViper deLuxe usestwochannelsatthedesk!Channel 1 = Pump, Channel 2 = Fan.
a)PresstheModebuttononthecontrolpanel,untilthreeguresappearontheLEDdisplay.
b) AdjusttherequestedstartaddressbypressingtheUp/Downbuttons.
5.4.1 Adjusting the DMX start address
b. Afteraheatingtimeofapprox.sevenminutes(ViperNT)orapprox.12minutes(Viper
2.6),thedeviceisreadyforoperation.
c. PresstheModebuttonuntilaPandtwoguresappearinthedisplay.Setthedesired
pumpvalueusingtheUp/Downbuttons.
d. PresstheModebuttonuntilanFandtwoguresappearinthedisplay.Setthedesired
fanvaluehere.
e. PresstheEnterbuttontostarttheunit.Thegreen„Active“LEDlightsup.
