Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology delivers both data and electrical power over a single Ethernet network cable (RJ45).
PoE allows you to place your network (IP) cameras, IP telephones, wireless LAN access points, remote network switches,
and other devices wherever you want, regardless of proximity to a power outlet.*
The Lorex PoE kit is simple to install, requiring no tools or software. The kit includes a Power Injector and Splitter.
When using a non-PoE network (IP) camera or other non-PoE network device, an Injector and Splitter are needed.
Power Over Ethernet (PoE)
Plug the PoE Injector to a power
outlet.
Quick Set up:
Connect one end of an Ethernet cable (not
included) to an empty LAN port on your network
router or switch. Connect the other end of the
Ethernet cable to the Data In port on the PoE
Injector.
On the Splitter, select the voltage that
matches the voltage required for your
camera: 12V, 9V, or 5V.
LPOE591201 includes the following:
1 - Power Injector
1 - Splitter
1 - Power Cable

* Maximum distance of 328 ft (100 m) using a standard RJ45 Ethernet cable.
Note: The LAN port on your router/switch should be
a non-PoE port. If you are using a PoE router/switch,
you do not need to use the PoE injector, only the
splitter.
