Music Rack Bench Guide Song Book Adapter (PS-154)
Attach The Music Rack
Insert the legs of the Music Rack into the holes located on the top
of the instrument cabinet.
-Take care not to scratch the top of the cabinet.
-Avoid applying excessive force when attaching / removing the
Music Rack.
Attach the AC Power Adapter
1. Connect the AC power cable to the DC
IN jack on the back of the instrument.
2. Connect the AC power cord to the AC
Power Adapter.
3. Connect the AC power cord into an AC
wall outlet.

Basic Care and Cleaning of your Cadet EZ3
Power OFF before cleaning.
-NO Liquids should be applied to the instrument.
-Do NOT Spray or Drip Liquids on the instrument.
-Use a clean, soft, lint free cloth for dusting.
-Microber cleaning cloths work well.
-Slightly dampen the cloth with water for additional cleaning.

The EZ3 is equipped with an
energy-saving feature that shuts
the power off automatically
after 60 minutes of inactivity.
Deactivate Auto Power Off
-Press and hold
the highest C.
-Power On.
-Release C when ‘Auto Power Off Inactivated!’ appears
in the display.
-Auto Power is reactivated at each Power On.

Home returns the EZ3 to the original Power On setup sound.
-Piano Sound
-No keyboard split
-Touch sensitive keyboard
Volumes
Control the overall volume level and add expression with your right foot while playing using the
Expression Pedal.
Maximum Volume Minimum Volume
Adjust the maximum overall instrument volume
with Master Volume.
Press to increase the Master Volume.
The display illustrates the volume level.

EASY Play
ABC’s Each key on the EZ3 is clearly labeled to match the music in the Lowrey Song Book and Lowrey
Magic class books. Follow the music and match the notes with the keys.

Activate Lowrey Easy-Play features by
pressing EASY.
• EASY Play Chords - Full-sounding,
musically correct chords with one nger.
• Chord Memory - Chord keeps playing
even after you release the key(s)
• Auto Bass - Plays a rich-sounding bass along with
you automatically.
EASY Play Chords
EASY Play Chords become active when you press the
Easy button or select a Music Style.
The Red, Blue, and Green Chord Lights above the
keyboard become illuminated.
These lights match the color-coded bars
printed in Lowrey music.

TEMPO CHORD

The Chord being played will be displayed, be it a
conventional chord or an EASY Play chord.
Major Chord = chord
letter name
For Example, to play a
F Major chord play the F
key.

Minor Chord = chord letter
name + three keys up.
To play a F Minor (Fm)
chord play the Fnote and
the black Abnote to the
right of F.
Play both keys at the same
time.
Seventh Chord = chord
letter name + two keys
down.
To play a F Seventh (F7)
chord play the Fnote and
the black Ebnote to the left
of F. Play both keys at the
same time.
No Chord = play a group
of three, four, or ve con-
secutive keys at the same
time.
For example: C, C#, D or F,
F#, G,Ab.
N.C. in your music.
The EASY Play Chord Chart in the back of this guide lists the notes needed to form a variety of chords in
addition to the examples given here.

Duet
Harmony-Duet adds an
additional note to the melody
note being played, creating a
pleasant Duet sound.
A conventional chord, or an EASY Play Chord must be played in order for Harmony-Duet to function.

Before plugging in a set of headphones...
-Reduce the Expression Pedal volume
-Reduce the Master Volume
Plug in a set of STEREO headphones
into the Headphone Jack.
When stereo headphones are plugged in
the EZ3 speakers are muted.
Place the head-
phones on your
ears.
Increase the
Expression Pedal
volume position.

some notes...
...SLOWLY increase the Master Volume to a
comfortable headphone volume level.
