1. Align the end of the cable protruding from the main
pole with an end from the extra length of cable
supplied.
2. Split both ends down the centre to a length of
approximately 40mm (1.57in) so that there are now
4 cables. Strip the ends of all four cables back
approx. 20mm (0.79in).
3. Note the cable is indexed.(ie. one side is marked,
the other is not) Take the two indexed cables and
very lightly twist the strands together. Fit the
supplied yellow Scotch lock whilst applying
pressure. Keep twisting until very tight. Repeat this
process for the remaining two wires.
4. Take the now extended length of cable and insert
into the reduced end of the extra extension pole
supplied.
5. Place the end of the main pole over the reduced
section of the extension piece (Fig. C and D).
6. Using a 3.3mm (0.13in) drill bit, drill a hole 18mm
(0.71in) up from the end of the main pole through
both pole walls. Ensure the drill bit is protruding only
a small distance from the drill chuck. This is to
prevent the internal cable from being damaged by
the drill bit (Fig. E).
7. Using the supplied stainless steel self tapping screw,
insert into drilled hole and firmly tighten being careful
not to strip the thread.

Luminaires can become very hot. Use discretion in placement.
Do not touch hot lens, guard, or enclosure.
CAUTION - HOT SURFACE. Keep away from curtains and other combustible material.
Turn Off/Unplug and allow to cool before replacing lamp.
Keep lamp away from materials that may burn.
Never touch lamp with bare fingers. Oil from skin may damage lamp. Hold lamp with soft cloth when installing or replacing.
Do not operate the luminaires with a missing or damaged parts.
Replace any cracked protective shield
Use only lamp type, voltage and wattage as specified by Lumascape on the product label.
Use only genuine Lumascape parts to replace damaged or missing components.
Luminaires supplied with Loctite Silver Grade Anti Seize lubricant on threads. Reapply if needed.
Refer to instructions for installation and operating requirements.

EXAMPLE 2
Using trunk and drop cable only
This example shows the correct way to install
Lumascape luminaires using LS604-10
(10mm2) trunk cable. The total load on
Circuit 3 is 60W over 50 metres which is
shorter than the 54 metres allowed in the
Voltage Drop table. The load on Circuit 4 is
40W and using a doubled cable allows the
circuit to be up to 168 metres long.
EXAMPLE 1
Using drop cable only
This example shows the correct way to install
Lumascape light luminaires using LS604
(3.3mm2) drop cable. The total load on
Circuit 1 is 60W over 20 metres as allowed
in the Voltage Drop table. The load on Circuit
2 is 40W and by using a doubled cable this
circuit can be 60 metres.
