The Luminance RED is a photobiomodulation (PBM) device that has
been carefully designed for safe and eective home use.
Please read through the entire user manual before using.

DANGERS
To reduce the risk of electrocution:
1. Do not place or store the charger where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
2. Do not place the charger in water or other liquid.
3. Do not reach for a charger that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
4. Do not shine the device into the eyes.
5. Do not use while bathing.
WARNINGS
To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire or injury:
1. Close supervision is necessary when this product is used by, on, or near children or invalids.
2. Use this product only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments that
not recommended by the manufacturer.
3. Keep the cord that attaches to the charging base away from heated surfaces.
4. Never drop the device or insert any object into any opening of the device.
5. Never operate this product if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been
dropped or damaged, or if it has been dropped into water.
IMPORTANT
1. Periodically check the cord for damage. A damaged or non-functioning unit should no longer be
used.
2. Do not touch the power plug with wet hands. This can cause an electric shock.
3. When unplugging, always hold the power plug instead of the cord.
4. Do not modify or repair the product. This may cause fire, electric shock, or injury. Do not disassemble
the product, except when disposing of the battery.
5. Do not remove the rechargeable battery from the device. It is designed to remain inside during
charging and use.
6. This product is not intended for use by children under the age of 16 without parental supervision and
assistance.
7. Please only use the original power adapter, as other adapters may cause damage to the lithium
battery and control circuit.
8. Metal or any other conductors are never to touch the metal conductor on the bottom of the device.
This will prevent electrical damage to the internal circuit board or lithium battery.
9. Avoid electromagnetic interference in the environment (such as microwave ovens nearby) when
using your device.
10. Do not share the Luminance RED amongst friends or family. The device is for individual use only. If
dierent people want to use the device, purchase an additional unit, or contact Luminance Medical
Ventures at [e-mail] to purchase a separate fiber optic tip for each additional
user.
11. The Luminance RED is a natural, non-invasive, and chemical & drug-free therapy. However, out of
caution, we recommend you consult with your healthcare provider if you take photosensitizing drugs
like Tetracycline, Digoxin, Retin A, and others.
12. The Luminance RED only delivers blue and red wavelengths of light that have been demonstrated in
clinical studies to be safe and eective. However, we always recommend consulting with your
healthcare provider for specific questions about your health conditions.
13. The fiber optic tip is composed of delicately crafted glass and metal which is fragile. Be careful when
handling it.

Connecting and Charging
Your Luminance RED is engineered for safe use in the bathroom and
elsewhere around your home.
When the battery power is too low, it will beep 3 times and
automatically power o.
1Plug the charging base (charger) into an electrical outlet. When it is
plugged in correctly, the light will turn green and flash red.
2Place the Luminance RED into the base with the digital timer facing
towards you.
3When the device is charging correctly, the indicator light on the
charger will turn red.
4Once the battery is fully charged, the indicator light will turn from
red to green. This usually takes between 3 and 4 hours.
For everyday use, the device can be stored on the charging
unit to maintain full power. You can’t overcharge it.
However, for environmental reasons, Luminance
Medical recommends unplugging the charging
unit until the next recharge is required.
To maintain the maximum capacity of
the rechargeable battery, unplug the
charging unit and fully discharge
the battery with regular use at
least once every 6 months.

Using Your Luminance RED
Before using your device, cleanse your face to remove all dirt and makeup.
The blue and red light wavelengths from the Luminance RED are most
eective on clean, dry skin.
1Pressing the ON/OFF button will power on the device.
2Hold the fiber optic tip to the acne blemish you wish to treat. Note: do not turn
on the device before it is touching your skin to prevent light from shining into
your eyes.
3Pressing the BLUE button will begin a 90-second treatment with blue light only.
The device will begin to illuminate blue wavelengths and the indicator light
above the POWER button will turn on.
4Once the 90-second blue light treatment is complete, you will hear a beeping
sound. The indicator light above the POWER button will shut oautomatically
and the device will stop illuminating blue wavelengths.
5Pressing the RED button will begin a 90-second treatment of red light only. The
device will begin to illuminate red wavelengths and the indicator light above
the POWER button will turn on.
6Once the 90-second red light treatment is complete, you will hear a beeping
sound. The indicator light above the POWER button will shut oautomatically
and the device will stop illuminating red wavelengths. The digital display will
automatically turn oafter 40 seconds of non-use. You can also turn it o
manually by pressing the ON/OFF button.
7Continue using the device in the same fashion blue light treatments followed
by red light treatments until you have applied therapy to all your desired
blemishes.
8To prevent overheating, after completing 3, 90-second sessions, stop using the
device until it is cool.
9Once finished using the device, press the On/OFF button. This will power o
the device.

Cleaning Recommendations
After using the device, rinse the fiber optic tip
carefully under running water for a few seconds
with the device powered o.
Then, use a 70% isopropyl alcohol and water
solution applied with a cloth or alcohol prep pad
to clean the fiber optic tip.
You can also dip the head into a solution of 70%
isopropyl alcohol and water for 60 seconds.
Let the device air dry or hand dry it with a cloth or
towel.
Do not put the device in the dishwasher or
submerge it underwater.
Environmental Notice
This product contains a rechargeable battery. In
the interest of protecting the environment, please
do not dispose of the product in the household
waste at the end of its useful life. Disposal can take
place at an appropriate collection point provided
in your country.
