COMPONENTS
This guide will help you get started with your PowerView®
purchase.
STEP 1 INSTALL YOUR SHADES
Make sure you have properly installed your shades and that
they are connected to a power source (battery pack or power
supply).
STEP 2 YOUR POWERVIEW®
COMPONENTS
Packed with your purchased product you will find one or more
Remotes, repeaters and a Hub (which is optional and only
required when you want to control your shades using a tablet
or smartphone). Remotes come in different shapes and colours.
Please locate them all before you start.

PAIRING REMOTES
STEP 3 PAIRING REMOTES
If you only have one Remote, please proceed to Step 4.
By pairing PowerView® Remotes you make all your Remotes
part of the same PowerView® Network. This is important for
seamless installation of the PowerView® system.
For this instruction you use the STOP button on your
Remote.
3.1 TAKE ALL REMOTES

3.2 PRESS THE RESET BUTTON FOR SIX
SECONDS
Using a paper clip, PRESS and HOLD recessed Reset
button on back of target remote for 6-10 seconds.
If necessary, remove back cover.

3.3 CLOSE THE COVER IF NECESSARY
”SOURCE” REMOTE
3.4 PRESS STOP FOR 6 SECONDS
(Keep pressing until the Remote lights start blinking).

STEP 4 ADDING A SHADE TO
A REMOTE
A Remote can control 6 groups of shades (which are the
buttons 1 to 6).
The instructions below assign a shade to group 1. Depending
on your preference you can choose your own group.
This instruction will make use of the OPEN, GROUP 1, and
STOP buttons on your Remote.
Find the shade button on your shade.
Different shade types have different shade buttons. Consult
the shade documentation for the exact location of the shade
button.

4.1 PRESS STOP FOR 6 SECONDS
(Keep pressing until the Remote lights start blinking).
4.2 PRESS GROUP 1
(This will activate the group 1 on the Remote).
4.3 PRESS AND HOLD THE SHADE BUTTON
4.4 PRESS THE OPEN BUTTON
(You will see the shade move up and down shortly).
4.5 RELEASE THE SHADE BUTTON
4.6 IF YOUR REMOTE IS STILL FLASHING: PRESS STOP
FOR 6 SECONDS AND HOLD
(Keep pressing until the flashing stops).

STEP 5 CONNECT AND SET UP HUB
CONNECT POWER TO HUB:
5.1 CONNECT ONE END OF THE USB
POWER CABLE TO THE USB POWER
SUPPLY
5.2 PLUG THE USB POWER SUPPLY INTO
AN AC OUTLET OR POWER STRIP
5.3 PLUG THE OTHER END OF THE USB
POWER CABLE INTO THE POWER
PORT ON THE BACK OF THE HUB
Note: During the boot-up process, the Hub’s LED may turn
off and on again. Once the Hub has completed the boot-up
process, the Hub’s LED will turn solid Magenta. Do not interrupt
the boot-up process by cutting power or pressing any buttons
on the back panel of the Hub.

Connect using an active Wi-Fi network:
5.4 OPEN THE POWERVIEW® APP ON YOUR
MOBILE DEVICE AND FOLLOW THE ONSCREEN
INSTRUCTIONS TO PROPERLY CONNECT TO AN
ACTIVE WIFI NETWORK
(The Hub will indicating it is ready to join the PowerView® Network, once the
Hub has been connected to the home network).
CONNECT USING AN ETHERNET CABLE:

5.5 CONNECT THE ETHERNET CABLE FROM THE
HUB TO AN OPEN LAN PORT ON YOUR ROUTER
(If connecting the Hub to the home network via Ethernet, connect the Hub
to the router, before connecting the Hub to power).

STEP 6 INSTALL REPEATERS
6.1 PLUG REPEATER INTO WALL OUTLET
The LED blinks AMBER, indicating the Repeater has power,
but has not yet been joined to a PowerView® Shade
Network.
- Be sure the wall outlet has power.
- No more than six Repeaters should be used in a home,
unless otherwise instructed by a Luxaflex® PowerView®
Motorisation specialist.
- Do not place Repeater in direct sunlight.
6A PAIR REPEATER TO POWERVIEW®
SHADE NETWORK IF USING
POWERVIEW® APP
- Open the PowerView® App and select
“Device - Discovery.”
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up each
Repeater. The Repeater LED turns solid BLUE to indicate
the Repeater has been paired to the network. Follow
in-app instructions to assign a custom Repeater LED
colour, if desired.

6B PAIR REPEATER TO POWERVIEW®
SHADE NETWORK IF USING
POWERVIEW® REMOTE
- Press and hold STOP on the remote that was used to
create the PowerView® Shade Network until the lights on
the remote flash (approx. 6 seconds).
- With the remote no more than 3 feet from the Repeater,
press and release STOP.
- The Repeater blinks BLUE three times to signal it has
been joined to the network. After the blinking stops, the
Repeater is still active.

STEP 7 PAIRING YOUR HUB WITH
AN (EXISTING) POWERVIEW®
SHADE NETWORK
If you have already established a PowerView® Shade Network
between a PowerView® Remote and PowerView® shades, you
should pair the Hub to the same network. To pair the Hub to
the same network, open the PowerView® App and follow the
prompts. The Hub LED will turn to solid BLUE, once the Hub
has been paired to the PowerView® Shade Network.
TRANSFER YOUR HUB DATA (IF NEEDED):
If you have a Gen 1 Hub (bottom right) on your PowerView®
Shade Network, follow in-app instructions to transfer Hub data
to the new PowerView® Hub.

adjusted to your preferences. Follow the steps in this chapter
or go to www.luxaflex.co.uk/powerview-installation for more

OPERATE A SHADE
This instruction will make use of the OPEN, GROUP 1,
STOP, ALL and CLOSE buttons on your Remote.
1PRESS GROUP 1
(Group 1 will light up).
2PRESS OPEN
(Shades assigned to group 1 will open).
3PRESS STOP
(Shades assigned to group 1 will stop).
4PRESS CLOSE
(Shades assigned to group 1 will close).

Pressing ALL instead of GROUP 1 will move all shades
from all 6 groups on the Remote.

SET A FAVOURITE POSITION
This instruction will make use of the STOP and
FAVOURITE buttons on your Remote.
Find the shade button on your shade.
(Different shade types have different shade buttons. Consult
the shade documentation for the exact location of the shade
button).

MOVE A SHADE TO A FAVOURITE
POSITION
This instruction will make use of the GROUP 1, FAVOURITE
and ALL button on the Remote.
Move shades assigned to group 1 to their favourite
position.
1PRESS GROUP 1
(Group 1 will light up).
2PRESS FAVOURITE
(Shades assigned to group 1 will move to their favourite
position).
Pressing ALL instead of GROUP 1 will move all shades from all
6 groups to their favourite position.

REMOVE A SHADE FROM A GROUP
This will remove a shade from a group on your Remote. It will
not remove the shade from the PowerView® Network.
This instruction will make use of the GROUP 1, STOP and
CLOSE buttons on the Remote.
Find the shade button on your shade.
(Different shade types have different shade buttons. Consult
the shade documentation for the exact location of the shade
button).

The Scene Controller works in combination with the App and
can activate scenes which are created in the App.
