9.Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding plug. A
polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding plug
has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong
is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet,
consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10.Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at the
plugs, convenience receptacles, and at the point where they exit from the
apparatus.
11.Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
12.Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the
manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart or rack is used, use
caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from
tip-over.
13.Unplug the apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long
periods of time.

collection S5.Founded as a radio department in the corner of the
frame shop "KINSUIDO" in 1925, when NHK started to broadcast
this radio, LUXMAN has delivered many products to audio and
music fans for over 90 years. In the meantime, the love of audio
and music lovers has never changed.
We believe that the depth of emotion and attachment to the
instrument that faithfully reproduces the artist's passion
embedded in the music is the best value for the audio.
It's a pleasure to be able to share the same passion and values
for audio and music as we have with our choice of LUXMAN
products.
Be sure to read this owner's manual carefully before using the
machine to ensure proper and safe use of the machine. As a

This indicator shows the input
operated by the INPUT switching
button.
The volume of this unit is indicated
by the number of green LEDs.
In addition, when the operation of
Amazon Alexa changes, the status

Disable the microphone for calling
Amazon Alexa by voice.

It is a button to switch to the
sound source you want to listen to
the input of this unit. Every time
this button is pressed, the input
changes in the order of
NET → USB → BT → AUX →
OPT. After OPT,
it returns to NET, and repeats
USB → BT → AUX → OPT.

It is a microphone for calling

to start setup.
1. Before starting setup, make
sure that the NET indicator on the
top panel is lit or blinking.
If anything other than NET is lit,
press the INPUT button several
times until NET lights or
flashes.
2. Press the PAIR button on the
rear panel for 3 seconds to put the
unit into Wi-Fi setup
mode. At this time, the INPUT
indicator NET starts blinking.
3. Launch the "LUXMAN
CONNECT" app and follow the
on-screen instructions to proceed
with the setup.
Switch your smartphone
or tablet to the i-Fi setting
screen.

Voice control by Amazon Alexa
Press the unit's INPUT button to select NET (Network).
Talking to "Alexa" to this unit starts the voice control service by
Amazon Alexa.
*This message indicates that Amazon Alexa has started up normally
when a response sound
of "Pong" is returned from the unit by calling "Alexa". If there is no
response, please approach
this unit and try again when the surroundings are quiet. Also, even if
the Wi-Fi signal is weak,
Amazon Alexa may not start properly.

unit (ASC-S5) from the AirPlay
compatible devices listed.
Reproduction by DLNA renderer
function
Press the unit's INPUT button to
select NET (Network).
This unit operates as a DLNA
renderer device.
By specifying this unit as a
Renderer from your DLNA
compatible device, you can
wirelessly
play music from your DLNA
compatible device.

Then, set up an Amazon Alexa
account that provides voice
control to this unit.
Network connection is complete
when this screen is displayed.
Switch your smartphone
or tablet to the i-Fi setting
screen.
Bluetooth playback
Press the unit's INPUT button to select BT (Bluetooth).
The same applies even if Bluetooth is selected from the main
menu screen of the dedicated
application.
Pairing with playback equipment
Please do the following pairing operation to play Bluetooth.
1. Before starting setup, make sure that the BT on the top
panel INPUT indicator is lit. If
anything other than BT is on, press the INPUT button several
times until BT is on.
2. Press the PAIR button on the rear panel for 3 seconds to put
the unit in Bluetooth pairing
mode. At this time, BT of the INPUT indicator starts blinking.
Open the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone or tablet and
select "LUXMAN ASC-S5"
from the list of available devices. It may take some time for
your device to detect this unit and
to be displayed in the list.
When paired successfully, BT of the INPUT indicator of this unit
changes from blinking to
lighting.
Start playing music on your smartphone or tablet. If the volume
of the music being played is
low, turn up the volume of your smartphone or tablet before
performing volume control on
the unit.
*This unit can store pairing with multiple Bluetooth compatible
devices.

You can give this machine a name
you like so that you can
distinguish individual products
when using multiple machines or
products of this series.
The setup is complete when the
device name is displayed on the
device list screen.
USB memory playback
By inserting a USB memory into the USB (A type) terminal on
the back of this unit, you can
play music data built in the USB memory.
When a USB memory is inserted into this unit, the input of this
unit automatically switches to
USB, and playback of the built-in music data starts in
alphabetical order of file name.
If you want to stop playback, switch to another input with the
INPUT button or remove the
inserted USB memory.
*You can not use music pause / stop / song operation with the
USB memory playback function
of this unit.
*You can change the playback order of music data by putting
playlist files (such as m3u
specifications) in the root folder in USB memory.
