Lynx™ Quick Disconnect Hose (LQD)
(Recommended for Freestanding Grills only)

GAS CONNECTORS ARE TO BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED GAS SERVICE TECHNICIAN ONLY. INSTALL
ACCORDING TO LOCAL CODES OR NFPA54, NFPA58, CGA B149 OR OTHER APPLICABLE GAS STANDARD.
MAXIMUM WORKING TEMPERATURE FOR THESE FLEXIBLE LP GAS AND NATURAL GAS CONNECTORS
(UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED) IS 50° C(125° F).
FLEXIBLE GAS CONNECTORS MUST NOT BE INSTALLED IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO ANY HEAT SOURCE.
ALL ANSI Z21.54 HOSE REGULATIONS HAVE A MAXIMUM WORKING TEMPERATURE OF 93.5° C(200° F).
GAS CONNECTORS ARE TO BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED GAS SERVICE TECHNICIAN IN A MANNER
THAT DOES NOT AND WILL NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WORKING PRESSURE THAT IS PRINTED ON
THE CONNECTOR.
UPON QUALIFIED INSTALLATION OF THIS GAS CONNECTOR, INSPECT HOSE AND ATTACHED EQUIP-
MENT FOR DAMAGE. ALSO INSPECT HOSE ASSEMBLY FOR KINKING DUE TO IMPROPER BENDING AND/
OR POTENTIAL PINCH POINTS.
CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY MUST BE OF ADEQUATE LENGTH FOR THE INTENDED INSTALLATION. FINAL
ASSEMBLY MUST BE TESTED FOR LEAKS USING A LEAK TEST SOLUTION. RINSE WITH CLEARWATER
AFTER LEAK TEST. IF A LEAK IS FOUND, TURN GAS SUPPLY OFF IMMEDIATELY. HAVE A QUALIFIED GAS
SERVICE TECHNICIAN MAKE NECESSARY REPAIRS. DO NOT USE AN OPEN FLAME TO TEST FOR GAS
LEAKS.
CONTACT AND POTENTIAL CONTACT WITH DAMAGING FOREIGN OBJECTS OR SUBSTANCE MUST BE
AVOIDED.
PERIODIC VISUAL INSPECTION IS NEEDED TO ENSURE THAT THE CONNECTOR IS SUITABLE FOR
CONTINUED USE.

CAUTION: All adapters (unions) supplied with the connector must be used. Do not aempt to connect the
ngs on the connector directly to the threaded rigid pipe ends on the equipment of the fuel gas piping
system.

Instrucons for Proper Usage and Installaon (Inlet)
1. Install socket inlet on the gas supply.
2. Install plug on the appliance connector.
3. Place knob or lever into “o” posion, push back sleeve of socket (Fig. #1), Insert plug (g. #2), and re-
lease sleeve.
4. Push plug unl sleeve snaps forward locking plug in socket (Fig. #3). Turn knob or lever to “on” posion
to turn gas on.
5. Leak test with leak test soluon.

CAUTION:
Gas connectors are to be installed by a gas service
technician only. Install according to local codes or
NFPA 54 (ANSI Z223.1) Naonal Fuel Gas Code.
Instrucons for Proper Usage and Installaon (Appliance)
1. This connector is for freestanding Lynx™ outdoor appliances that are movable for convenience of
operaon.
2. Connectors are designed for movement aer installaon, but must not be kinked or twisted. This
connector must be of adequate length for the applicaon. Periodic visual inspecon is needed to
ensure that the connector is suitable for connued use.
3. Do not aach to any other hose to extend the total length of the hose.
4. Contact with damaging foreign objects or substances must be avoided.
5. For use with system pressures not to exceed 1/2 PSI (3.5 Kpa).
6. Test for leaks only with leak test soluon and rinse with clear water aer leak test.

WARNING:
This product is not recommended for use in built in installaons. Use of LQD in built in installaons will void
warranty of Lynx™ products.
LQD Hose must not come in contact with the rebox of the grill.
The LQD Hose must be outside of the grill cart and not be routed through the interior.
