1. Basic information
Target group for these installation instructions
These assembly instructions are aimed at landscape gardeners, carpenters, joiners and experienced
DIY enthusiasts.
Safety obligations when using these installation instructions
Please read the complete assembly instructions carefully before starting the installation. Each person who installs
LIGNODUR terrana® refugio 2.0 needs to have taken note and understood the entire contents of these assembly
instructions. Always keep these assembly instructions always close at hand and safe.
Use as directed
LIGNODUR terrana® refugio 2.0 has been developed for use as a screen. Any other use is considered improper
use. All liability is excluded for damage resulting from improper use.
Before use, please check whether LIGNODUR terrana® refugio 2.0 is suitable for the intended use.
Use as directed also includes compliance with all information in these assembly instructions, especially compli-
ance with the safety instructions and the local building regulation.
Important notes
LIGNODUR terrana® refugio 2.0 panels can be sawn with conventional woodworking tools.
Due to the high wood composition, LIGNODUR terrana® is subject to natural expansion.
This is why it is important to allow for expansion in the posts (see point 5.1.). Not observing this point may lead to
the material warping. In such cases, warranty claims can no longer be accepted. Möller GmbH & Co. KG does not
assume any liability for damage arising from improper use or incorrect assembly.
Check the components that are used for possible faults before mounting. If there are obvious faults
or if you establish damage, the components must not be installed. In this case, contact your supplier.
Additional rules and regulations
In addition to the specications stated in these assembly instructions, the applicable accident prevention regula-
tions related to the workplace and other national and local regulations must be followed. Furthermore, the safety
regulations and standards of the respective country where the system is used must be adhered to.
Technical questions?
These assembly instructions refer to standard assemblies. Due to the variety of design options not all details can
be displayed here. If you have further questions or require technical advice, please contact our service team using
the following e-mail address: terrana@moeller-prolsysteme.de.
Validity
The assembly instructions have been written on the basis of today‘s technical knowledge and can be adapted
to technical progress at any time without notication. Please check if you have the latest version. An updated
version is available at www.terrana.de.
Structural requirements
In order to be able to accommodate the wind loads impacting the system, the foundations must correspond to
the load at the installation site and the soil conditions. Because local conditions are dierent, we are not able to
provide general specications for the specic planned installation. We therefore recommend that you seek advice
from an architect or structural engineers when planning the size of the foundation and any necessary reinforce-
ments. The foundations must always be kept free from frost.
The concrete that is used must correspond with the quality class C20/25 in accordance with DIN EN 206-1 / DIN
1045-2. Adhesive anchors should be exclusively used for attaching the supports to the screw on elements.
For example, Fischer Highbond-System FHB II or equivalent. Minimum requirement: strength class A4-70, stainless steel,
min. M12, anchor depth min. 120mm. Attention should be paid to the manufacturer’s instructions for working with the
products.

3. Assembly of the post supports
3.1 Post supports for screwing on
In order to position the post supports, dene the distance using a frame prole and the two spacers. For this
purpose, the posts must be attached to the post supports. In doing so, ensure a uniform alignment. The spacers
should be removed again before mounting the other panels.
For screwing on
The position of the post supports
should be to marked on the
substrate and xed in accordance
with the instructions of the dowel
manufacturer.
The distance of the outer borehole
to the edge of the foundation must
be at least 50mm (at reduced load)
and 180mm (at maximum load).
When tightening the screws,
ensure the vertical orientation
of the post supports.
The foundation sizes that are structu-
rally necessary are then dug and
if necessary, provided with reinforce-
ments, according to the specica-
tions of the structural engineer.
The post supports should be sub-
merged up to the prole layer in the
concrete (308 mm). Therefore, the
foundation depth must be ≥ 40 cm.
The post supports are inserted and
aligned with each other (see 3.3 / 3.4).

4. Assembly of the posts
The position of the post supports
is xed with the help of lateral
struts (not supplied) and com-
pacted using concrete.
In performing this, ensure that the
post supports are vertical.
3.5 Filling in the concrete / Vertically oriented assembly
4.1 Post length
The standard height of the post is 1860 mm. 10 panels and 2 frame proles
can be installed at this height. For other heights, refer to the following table:

An additional frame prole can be
used for all heights.
This increases the length of the
lling proles by around 3cm.
The covering joint can be omitted.

4. Assembly of the posts
4.2 Inserting the posts
The post is supported on the post supports with self-tapping screws 4x30 mm. In this case, ensure the vertical
position of the post.
4.3 Fixing the posts
The lling proles are inserted into the joints. When
using a joint covering (see ‘Installation of the joint
covering’), the lling prole must be shortened to the
dimensions indicated in the table.
If necessary, the posts are cut to the desired length and pushed onto the post supports.

When mounting the other proles
pay attention to equal directions.
For this purpose, a mark is made
on the straight panels.
In the case of inclined panels, the
direction arises as a result of the
prole geometry. Complete the
assembly with a frame prole.

5.1 Checking the clearance
Always start the assembly process
with a frame prole. In order that
the proles in the post have suci-
ent splay to compensate for chan-
ges in length, the frame proles
and panels must be 55 mm longer
(max.) than the clearance between
the posts.
Example:
Clearance: 1580 mm =>
Prole length max. 1635 mm.
If necessary, shorten the proles
accordingly.
