4.2.1.
Features
Mönninghoff HexaF ex c utches are connecting coup ings. A cardan f exib e disc serves as a
centra e ement. The HexaF ex c utches are distinguished by the fo owing characteristics:
Compensation of axia , radia and angu ar disp acements
Suitab e for c ockwise and counter-c ockwise and a ternating oad operation
High transmittab e torques
High absorption of torque peaks

4.2.2.
Media resistance
The c utches do not have specia corrosion protection.
The fo owing must be observed with respect to media resistance of the f exib e disc:
The surrounding medium of a f exib e disc in operation must be air.
There is no resistance to oi and fue .
There is sufficient resistance to weather and ozone.
4.3. Functiona method
The c utch connects input and output shaft ike a cardan joint.
The shaft f anged hubs attached to both shaft ends are fixed to the shaft by threaded pins.
The f anged hubs are screwed to the f exib e disc with high-strength screws. This connection
is force ocking and therefore wear free.
Design X.0
The customer connection part is direct y screwed to the f exib e disc using spacing s eeves.
5. Transport, packaging and storage
5.1. Safety instructions for transport
Improper transport
ATTENTION
Damage due to improper transport!
Improper transport can cause
considerab e damage.
► When un oading the packaged items
after de ivery, as we as during in-house
transport, proceed with care and pay
attention to the symbo s and
instructions on the packaging.
► Protect the c utch against heavy knocks
as we as a types of force during
transport.
► Avoid strong ambient temperature
f uctuations to prevent formation of
condensation.
►
Remove the packaging immediate y
prior to insta ation.

Type 313.xx
2018-12-17
17
5.2. Transport inspection
The de ivery shou d be checked immediate y for comp eteness and for transport damage.
NOTE
Fai ure to observe the fo owing instructions
wi inva idate c aims to the insurer for
damage.
In the event of obvious visib e transport damage, proceed as fo ows:
Even if damage is on y suspected, sign receipt of de ivery (e.g. on the shipping
document) with corresponding information under reservation.
Determine and adhere to dead ines for submission of c aims.
Report the insurance c aim immediate y to the insurer and provide him with comp ete
documentation of the damage as soon as possib e (however, at the atest before
possib e exc usion and/or imitation periods for compensation c aims against third
parties expire) to enab e acce eration of the c aim processing procedure.
NOTE
Register any c aim as soon as a defect is
detected. C aims for damage can on y be
accepted within the va id rec amation period.
5.3. Packaging
Regarding the packaging
The individua packages are packed according to the expected transport conditions.
Environmenta y compatib e materia s have been used exc usive y for packing.
Packaging shou d protect the individua components from transport damage, corrosion and
other damage up unti insta ation. For this reason, do not destroy the packaging and remove
it on y just prior to insta ation.
Hand ing packing materia
The packaging protects the device against damage during transit. The packing materia s
were se ected according to environmenta and waste disposa aspects and can therefore be
recyc ed.
Recyc ing the packaging materia for further use saves raw materia s and reduces waste.
When no onger required, dispose of the packaging materia s according to oca
environmenta regu ations.

Type 313.xx
2018-12-17
18
5.4. Removing from the packaging
Carefu y remove the individua parts of the c utch from the packaging.
5.5. Storing the packaged items
Anticorrosion oi was app ied to c utch parts, which are not protected against corrosion. In
addition, the c utch must be stored in the origina packaging.
Check the corrosion protection when the duration of storage exceeds six months. If the
corrosion protection was removed during contro of received goods, conservation shou d be
renewed (e.g., with Tecty 472 from Va vo ine).
Packages must be stored under the fo owing conditions:
Do not store outdoors.
Store at a dry and dust-free ocation.
Do not expose to aggressive media.
Protect against so ar radiation.
Avoid mechanica shocks and damage.
Storage temperature: +5 to +45 °C.
Re ative humidity: max. 60 pc.
When storing for onger than 3 months, check the genera condition of a parts and
the packaging regu ar y.
NOTE
It is possib e that instructions for storage
are on the packaging that go beyond the
stated requirements. Fo ow these
instructions according y.
