This manual describes necessary points of caution when you
install and use this product.
POINTS OF CAUTION
• Before you mount or unmount the panel mount adaptor,
turn off the power supply and input signal for the 74ET for
safety.
• When heavy dust or metal particles are present in the air,
install the recorder inside a proper housing with sufficient
ventilation.
• Do not install the recorder where it is subjected to continu-
ous vibration. Do not apply physical impact to the unit.
• Environmental temperature must be within 0 to 50°C (32
to122°F)innon-hazardousareaandrelativehumiditywithin
30 to 85% in order to ensure adequate life span and operation.
INSTALLATION
1) Insert the Panel Mount Adaptor into the panel cutout.

2) Fix it to the panel with the installation fasteners. (4
places; torque ≤0.6 N·m)
3) Insert the 74ET into the Panel Mount Adaptor and fix it to
the adaptor with the installation fasteners provided with
the 74ET. (4 places; torque ≤0.5 N·m)

Panel thickness: 1.6 – 6.0 mm
The panel cutout conforms to DIN43700.
Four installation fasteners are used, two each on the top and
on the bottom.
For easy maintenance, operation and sufficient ventilation,
at the minimum of 100 mm must be observed between the 74ET
unit and adjacent structures or equipment.
