For Win ows95 / Win ows98:
1. Go to CD-ROM irectory, we suggest thats D:\.
2. Fin an run D:\MB\VIA\AUDIO\SETUP.EXE
3. The installation will etect your O.S. to install relative files into your
system.
4. Reboot the computer.

This VIA 82C693A chipset comes with the AWARD BIOS from AWARD Soft-
ware I c. E ter the AWARD BIOS program Mai Me u by:

to enable or disable the external cache memory.
External Cache
Default is A , C, SCSI. This option determines which drive
to boot at first for an operating system.
Boot Sequence
Choose Enabled (default or Disabled. This option allows user
to enable or disable the CPU internal cache.
CPU Internal Cache
Default is A, C, SCSI. This option determines which drive
to boot at first for an operating system.
Swap Floppy Drive
Choose Enabled (default or Disabled. This option allows user
to speed up the Power-On-Self-Test routine.

Choose Enabled (default or Disabled.

Note: Many diagnostic (or boot manager) programs which
attempt to access the boot sector table can cause
the above warning message. If you will be running
such a program, we recommend that you disable the
virus protection first.
Enabled: Activates automatically when the system boots up
causing a warning message to appear if there is
anything attempting to access the boot sector or
Hard Disk partition table.
Disabled: No warning message will appear when there is
something attempting to access the boot sector or
Hard Disk partition table.

Choose 250 (default , 500, 750 and 1000. This option sets
the time interval for displaying the first and the second
characters.

Choose System or Setup (default . This option prevents un-
authorized system boot up or use of BIOS Setup.

On (default : Activate the NumLock function at boot up.
Off: Close the NumLock function at boot up.

Range between 6 (default and 30 characters per second.
This option controls the speed of repeating keystrokes.
