Modes to Control
Magcoding Monster has basic two ways of control.
1. Unplugged by paper card, hand motions.
The paper card mode offers various kinds of coding ways
such as Do, Re, Mi Fa, Sol, Ra, Ti, Do – Music composing,
direction mode, numbers, change the color of robot’s face, sound card.
Moreover, Gesture following, Gesture coding, Line tracing, hand-direction and
avoidance mode are also offered.
2. Plugged by Scratch 2.0 and Mobile App.
By Mobile App, voice activation is also possible and detailed
coding is available such as distance & movement angle adjustment for
the robot ( 1cm forward and backward and 1 degree angle is adjustable by the App,
which is the world first applied function on the coding robot.)

OFF there is a OFF mode on the bottom of the robot to turn off or on.

What is Magcoding Monster?
It is the coding robot with plugged and unplugged function at the same time.
By plugged, the scratch programming is possible, gyro driving, voice activation,
basic coding and music composing by paper card, motion activation, gesture following,
avoiding the obstacle, etc. All exciting variety of functions are possible with Magcodingz.
It has monstrous functions. So it is called Monster!
And most importantly, Magcoding is compatible with magnetic and plastic block at the same time!
Before we find out the various function of Magcoding,
let’s get to know basic information of Magcoding Monster.
BATTERY INFORMATION
Installing or Replacing Batteries
WARNING To avoid battery leakage, please take a
not the instructions carefully. Failure to follow these instructions
can result in battery acid leakage that may cause burns,
personal injury, and property damage.
REQUIRED: 3pcs x 1.5V AA batteries for the robot. One of the Monster model has
USB charging battery instead of AA battery model.
Battery must be installed or replaced by an adult
Monster requires 3(Three) pcs of AA batteries.
The battery compartment is located on the back of the robot.
To install battery, first undo the screw and if there is no screw,
just unclick the part to open the compartment. Screw does not need all the
time as there is clicked. Install batteries as indicated inside the compartment.
Put the compartment door back with click or screw the compartment back in.
BATTERY CARE AND MAINTENANCE TIPS.
Use three AA batteries.
Be sure to insert batteries correctly (with adult supervision) and always
follow the toy and battery manufacturer’s instructions.
Do not mix normal batteries with rechargeable batteries.
Do not mix new and used batteries.
Insert battery with correct polarity. (+) and (_) ends must be inserted in
the correct directions as indicated inside the compartment.
Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
Only charge rechargeable batteries from the robot before charging.
Only use batteries of the same or equivalent type.
Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
Remove weak or dead batteries from the product all the time.
Remove batteries of product will be not in use for an extended period of time.
Store at room temperature.
To clean, wipe the surface of the unit with dry cloth.

Start Magcoding Monster!
Magcoding Monster has 4 different set that a customer can make a choice from
at their own usage.
It comes in the box. Open the box and take out the robot.
In order to Magcoding Monster ready for use, you need to
complete the following steps below;
1. Open the battery compartment at the backside of the robot.
There are two ways of the charging method, which are
1) AA batteries, 2) USB charging lithium battery. Both method
cannot be used at the same time but you can choose.
2. Insert 3pcs of AA batteries. Please refer to the picture for ensuring
the correct way of inserting the batteries.
For USB charging Lithium battery, please also refer to the picture to
make sure to be inserted correctly.
3. Make sure to reclose the battery case by clipping the cover back on.
Note: Battery must be fully charged or use new AA battery.
4. Turn Magcoding Monster on: On the bottom of the robot, slide the power
switch to the mode that you would like to do such as OFF,
CODE(Plugged Code: smart devices), CARD(Paper Card Coding Mode).
When the robot is turned on, the robot fresh 6 different LED lights on the face,
body, and on top device. For the usage of Smart Device, put the switch to CODE.

Programming device ready for Scratch 2.0
Block Coding and Physical computing activities that utilize Magcoding Monster are available both in ‘Scratch’ and the most frequently used in the world in ‘Entry’
1. First installation
1) Go to www.magcoding.com download Magkinder For Scratch and install.
2) Run Magkinder for Scratch. If it is the first time to use, please click on Scratch download.
3) When you see the below screen, download the file according to your
OS system and install. After installing the scratch program,
close the scratch program
4) See the Magkinder for Scratch, go to FILE and check the New file.
5) Click ‘MORE BLOCK’ and check whether there is
Magkinder instruction Blocks or not.
2. Daily usage on PC by USB Dongle
1) Insert USB Dongle to the PC
2) Place a Magcoding Monster within 1 meter range from PC and power on.
Note: Please check whether there is a Blue color light on the dongle which means “connected”
USB Donggle connects the nearest Magcoding Monster Robot
3) Run Magkinder for Scratch.
Note: When the Magcoding Monster is connected to Magkinder for Scratch program, you can see the Blue colored “Connected” on the screen as below
4) Press Scratch Start 5) Scratch program is started.

Connecting Magcoding Monster to a computer or tablet
You also need to know how to connect Magcoding monster with a computer or tablet using USB Dongle.

Size: 43.1 x 18 x 9.3mm, 5.8g, 32 MHZ
1) Connect USB Dongle First. Then Power on the robot.
2) When the connection with the robot is finished, BLUE LED is lighted on top
of the robot. When the connection is off, the robot makes sound “Magkinder”.
3) USB Dongle Recognize the nearest robot within 1~2 meters.
If there are more than two robots, the link does not mix and the nearest robot links first.
4) After being connected, the connection is secured within 10 meters distance.
5) While the robot is linked to the dongle, it cannot be connected to other dongle
or any other accessible digital devices. The connected dongle and smart device only can control the robot
After using Scratch with a Bluetooth dongle, you must remove the dongle to establish a Bluetooth connection with your smart device.

Programming device ready for Mobile App
Magcoding Monster can be controlled by mobile App. With mobile application, the robot can be controlled more detailed way and various ways as below
1. Download the mobile Android App from the website and install in your mobile phone or other smart device. Simply turn on the Bluetooth on
your smart device first and turn the switch to CODE mode of the robot.
2. Start Magkinder App first. And when you see the Bluetooth sign on the right above, please click on Bluetooth sign.
Then you will see the device list and choose ‘Magcoding00’. If it is connected to app and robot, the Bluetooth sign changes
the color and the robot make sounds of “Magkinder”

1. Battery must be fully charged or use new AA battery.
2. There is always a risk of fire, explosion or leakage if the usage of the battery is wrong and the battery is not certified one.
3. Replace the battery when the robot indicates by light ‘RED’, which means low battery.
4. The performance of the battery may differ from different environment
1. This product is guaranteed for a period of …… year after the purchase is made.
In this period, we will repair and replace the product if it is proved as defect during warranty period.
2. However, the warranty of expendable parts like battery is 6 months after the purchase.
3. There could be a cost occurring even if it is warranty period if the fault of defective is under customer’s fault.
