Infrared Remote Control which operates your TV

][_or Cable IV signal to your TV.
This will be easy since there is
,:relyone 75_2antemla plug on the
back of your TV - and that's
where the atttenna goes.
_) IF your antenna (or CABLE
TV signal) has a round cable (75
ohm) with a metal prong (F-
connector) on the end, then you're
ready to connect it to the TV.

|F your anlenna has flat twin-lead
wire (300ohm), you first need to
attach the antenna wires to the
:_crewson an optional adapter
(300 to 75 ohm).
,_) Push the round end of the
adapter (or cable) onto the
ANTENNA plug on the rear of the
TV. If the round end of the cable
connector is threaded, screw it
down tight.
_a 2'' Try it out. Press POWER toturn the TV ON. Press the CH
,& button. You should see local
channels flash by.
Certain channel numbers have
been added to the TV's memory at
lhe factory. To set the TV to select
only the channel numbers in your
area, see page 1I.
ka_ Remember. If the TV is
connected to a Cable TV
(CATV) signal, be sure to set the
TV for that type signal. See page
10.

turn the TV ON. (Note: you can
press any button on the front of the
TV to turn the TV ON).
The tuned channel number will
appear briefly when the TV is first
turned ON. You can also press the
STATUS button (on the remote) to
see what channel the TV is ON.

remote. Be sure the male-female
ends of the battery line up
correctly with the remote's
connector padi.
Reattach the battery lid.
Slide the TV-VCR-CBL switch (on the remote
to the "TV" position to make sure the remote
is set to work with the TV.

for you to add other channels, or

buttons you can quickly select the
Audio/Video Input jacks on the rear
of the TV. Just "SAVE" the
VCR/AUX (or S-VIDEO) mode
(lecated between the lowest and

TV's memory.

"creen clock. During normal
operation the clock will alv_ear
on the screen with every channel
change (and when the STATUS
button is pres.s'ed).

until you see the word TIMESET
(in yellow) on the TV screen.
_Press the(-) button to set the
hours portion of the clock display.
Press the (+) button to set the
minutes portion of the clock.

Press the number buttons on the
remote to enter the exact time.
You'll need to press "0" first for a
single digit hour entry.

button to set the clock in
operation and clear the screen.
,_ Try it out. Press the

setting should appear on screen
with the selected channel number.

Caption mode selection the TV

To cancel, set the Closed
Captioned feature to OFF when

•stations will often use spelling
abbreviations, symbols, dropouts
and other gramrnatical shortcuts in
order to keep pace with the on-
screen action. These type factors
vary upon the source of the
captioned text material and do not
indicate a need :for service on the

NOTE: Not all TV programs and product commercials are made fl)r broadcast
with Closed Caption (CC) information included. Neither are all Closed Caption
modes (CAPTION2, TEXT I, etc.) necessarily being used by a broadcast stat ion
during the transmission of a closed caption program. Refer to your area's TV
program listings for the stations and times of Closed Caption shows.

Ebroadcast TV programs. The
TV has both an amphfier and twin
speakers through which the stereo
sottnd can be heard.
A stereo light (on the front of the
TV) wil! show when a stereo
bJ'oadcast is received.

SAP is an additional part of the
stereo broadcasl system. Sent as a
third audio channel SAP can be
heard apart from the current TV
program sound. TV stations are
free to use SAP for any number of
purposes, but many experts believe
it will be used fi)r foreign hmguage
translations of TV shows (or fi)r
weather and news bulletins.)
_'_is Remember. If a SAP signal
• not available with a selected
program, the SAP option cannot be
selected. Also, if SAP is selected
on a channel (with SAP) and you
select another channel, when you
return to the original channel SAP
will be OFF (and you will have to

Recommended speakers: 8 ohm,
15 watt minimum. Be sure the (+)
and (-) speaker wires are connected
to the correct R(ight) and L(eft)
speaker terminals on the TV.
Place the speakers so the
viewing area is between the TV
and the rear sun'ound speakers.
Turn the TV ON and place the
STEREO control to ON.
Alter setup whenever a stereo
signal is received the audio will be
