important or certain important specicaons have
been highlighted with the use of certain symbols,
the meanings of which are explained below:
Rosso — used to indicate the presence
of an imminently dangerous situaon
which, if not avoided, can cause
death or serious injury.
Orange — used to indicate the
presence of a potenally dangerous
situaon which, if not avoided, can
cause death or serious injury.
Yellow with safety alert symbol —
used to indicate the presence of
a potenally dangerous situaon
which, if not avoided, can cause
minor or moderate injury.
Blue without safety alert symbol

General information
This Manual has been prepared by the Manufacturer
with the intenon of providing the operators with the
informaon necessary for using the liing equipment
safely.
This Manual contains all the informaon necessary
for the user.
The operators must use the accessory for the purposes
envisaged and idened in this Manual.
The informaon should be read carefully and strictly
applied.
Failure to comply with this informaon can lead to
risk for the health and safety of persons and result in
damage to objects.
The documentaon must be kept safe in good
condion by the equipment user in a suitable place,
inside the vehicle cab, so that it is always readily
available for consultaon.
If lost or damaged, contact the Manufacturer directly
for replacement documentaon, indicang the
Manual code and accessory code.
The Manual reects the state-of-the-art at the me
of release of the product on the market.
The Manufacturer reserves the right to make changes,
addions or improvements to the Manual, without
however resulng in this publicaon being considered
as inadequate.
All modicaons to the documentaon are made
in a controlled manner, and the dierent revisions
ensure the traceability for associaon of the Manual
to dierent models of the product released on the
market.

Information regarding safety

The manufacturer demands compliance with the
following requirements:
• carefully read the instrucons given in this manual;
• personnel involved in any acvity should have
the technical skills and must be equipped with
the professional work tools used in suitable
environments;
• those operang on the product should be provided
with suitable personal protecon equipment, in
accordance with the legislaon of the country
concerned;
• use the equipment only for the purposes envisaged
by the Manufacturer. Improper use can be a source
of risk for the health and safety of persons and can
cause damage to objects;
• for carrying out maintenance in areas that are
not easily accessible or are potenally hazardous,
provide adequate safety condions for self and
others, in compliance with the legislaon in the
country concerned, on maers of safety;
• maintenance, inspecon and repairs must be
carried out solely by a qualied maintenance
technician who is aware of the hazard condions;
• the skilled maintenance technician must always
work with utmost care and in strict compliance
with the safety standards;
• when using the equipment, the operators must
wear professional clothing and/or personal
protecon equipment, if necessary, indicated
in the operang instrucons provided by the
Manufacturer and those envisaged by the
legislaon in force in the country concerned on
maers of occupaonal safety;
• replace worn components with genuine spare
parts;
• do not dump pollung material in the environment
and proceed with disposal in compliance with the
legislaons on the maer in force in the country
concerned.

The manufacturer declines all responsibilies in the
following cases:
• if the product is not used correctly in compliance
with the naonal legislaon and/or regulaons
regarding workplace safety;
• incorrect maintenance, lack of maintenance or
failure to comply with the instrucons provided in
this Manual;
• modicaons or tampering;
• use of the equipment by untrained unskilled
personnel.
The operang safety depends on strict compliance
with the prescripons in this Manual, especially:
• always work within the limits of use of the product
(see rang plate);
• always carry out careful maintenance according to
the schedule dened by the manufacturer;
• contact qualied and authorized service centres
for carrying out inspecons and maintenance;
• use only genuine spare parts.

For all requests for assistance, the customer must
contact our Technical Assistance Service or our
dealers network directly, indicang the data given on
the equipment idencaon plate and the type of
problem encountered.
Spare parts
To order spare parts or equipment required, the
customer can contact our Technical Assistance
Service directly, indicang the equipment model and
its Serial No.

Identification plate
Magni T.H. equipment is designed to provide the Customer high level of simplicity of use and maintenance.
However, before use, the operator must carefully read and gain complete familiarity with the methods of applicaon
and use of it and all the aspects concerning safe use as described in this Use and Maintenance Manual.

The idencaon plate and the funconal sckers must be kept in good condion to ensure that all the data they
contain are always legible over me.
If they are damaged and/or no longer legible, even only in part, it is the owner’s responsibility to contact the
manufacturer for a replacement, indicang the equipment idencaon data and proceed with replacement.

To order spare parts or for all technical informaon, the customer must always indicate the product code and the
relave Serial No. present on the ID plate axed on the equipment structure.

For all requests for assistance, the customer must contact our Technical Assistance Service or our dealers network
directly, indicang the data given on the equipment idencaon plate and the type of problem encountered.

Introduction
The user must strictly follow the indicaons given
below:
The Manufacturer has designed this equipment
accurately, with the help of appropriate tools and
technologies to ensure its safety; however, it is dicult
to assess all the work situaons the equipment may
be subject to in dierent operang condions.
Consequently, the conductor is responsible not
only for following the indicaons given in this Use
and Maintenance Manual, but also for adopng
the methods for use that take into account the
provisions and legislaon on the maer of health and
occupaonal safety in force in the country in which
the equipment is used, associated with responsible
use of the equipment, with the capacity of foreseeing
and prevenng potenal danger situaons generated
by special logisc, climac, visibility and health
condions of the conductor.
Operaons or movements not described in the Use
and Maintenance Manual must be avoided; the
person using the vehicle for purposes other than
those recommended must rst ensure his own safety,
the safety of others and correct handling of the
equipment.


User obligations
Read the Use and Maintenance Manual carefully;
Before using the equipment, ensure its compability
with the forkli truck with which it is to be used;
Become acquainted with the operang area: quality of
the road surface, obstacles on the ground or high up;
Operang temperature: min -15 °C (5 °F); max +45 °C
(113 °F);
Comply with the data indicated on the load charts.
Do not aempt to li weights exceeding those
permied on the load charts enclosed with this
manual and aached to the vehicle, under any
circumstances whatsoever;
If the liing capacity of the equipment is dierent
from that of the crane, take the lesser of the two as
the maximum limit;
       

The equipment must not be modied to increase its
liing capacity;
Keep the load low and with the telescopic boom
completely retracted;
Adjust the forkli truck speed to the ground
condions;
Avoid sudden movements while handling the load;

     

Only transport loads that are properly balanced;
The equipment must be lowered to the ground in
a hazard-free area devoid of obstacles;
The empty hook must be lowered gently, to prevent
abnormal stresses on the rope which can damage the
rope itself or the equipment structure;
Never leave the forkli truck parked with a raised
load;
The operator must stop using the vehicle if visibility
and lighng condions are poor;
While working at heights, check constantly to make
sure the wind speed never exceeds 45 km/h (28 mph).
In case of strong wind, retract the equipment
immediately, as the specic wind pressure on hanging
loads can overload the forkli truck and aect its
stability;
Avoid using the equipment in especially adverse
weather condions (rain storms in the presence of
lightning);
The forkli truck, carrying equipment ed with
ropes, must be inspected periodically as envisaged
for liing equipment, in compliance with legislaon,
provisions and regulaons applicable in the country
of use. The user alone is responsible for ensuring
compliance with the legislaon in force;
Before starng work with the equipment or other
liing equipment with hook, inform the authories
responsible for inspecons in your area;
Request the body responsible in the country of
operaon for yearly inspecons.
How to hook the equipment
     


a stable level surface;
• bring the forkli truck near
the equipment, posioning
the end part of the boom
with the quick-t coupling
retracted suitably to t it in
the hooking seat;
• t the equipment with the
boom head quick-t coupling;
• lt the boom head coupling
round to the equipment
frame to insert the shear pin;
• insert the retainer pin 1 into the hole present on
the connecng ange of the boom aligned with the
hole present on the equipment hooking structure;
• insert the split shear pin  in the hole present
on the pin which is integral with the equipment
structure in such a manner as to prevent it from
coming loose;
• connect the hydraulic system of the equipment
to the connectors on the head of the vehicle’s
telescopic boom [when present];
• connect the electrical system of the equipment
to the connectors on the head of the vehicle’s
telescopic boom [when present].
Vehicles produced by Magni T.H. are equipped with
idencaon soware that recognises the equipment
connected and which enables movements and specic
safety systems according to the type of equipment
connected.

  
When coupling the equipment:
• press the GREEN buon to conrm the equipment
recognised by the soware and standard
calibraon of the safety parameters;
• press the RED buon if the equipment is not ed
or is recognised incorrectly.

Before using the winch, it must be disconnected from
its base.
Remove the split pin and the shear pins from the
support rods, then li the winch to free it.
Insert the shear pins back into the support rods and
block them with the split pins, then place the support
in a sheltered area.

  
Conditions for using the equipment in case of wind
The equipment can also be used if wind is present, provided it does not exceed Grade 6 of the Beaufort Scale
(speed 45 km/h; 28 mi/h; 12.5 m/s);
For visual idencaon of this speed, refer to the Beaufort Scale below for empiric evaluaon of the wind speed.

Management of the controls
The equipment, like the enre vehicle, can only be
operated if the following condions are met:
• operator sing correctly in the driver’s seat,
• pressing the movement enable buon (DEAD
MAN’S SWITCH) behind each joysck.
If one or both of the aforemenoned condions is not
present, all the commands imparted are inhibited and
this fault is signalled by means of a ashing light on
the control panel on the side of the seat.
     


accessory downwards;

of the vehicle clockwise;

• : rotate the roller backwards to lower the hook.

radio control
1. RPM switch: makes it possible to increase or decrease
the I.C. engine speed;
 emergency stop buon: if pressed, it instantly stops
all movements;
3. HARE/TORTOISE switch: changes the actuaon speed
of the hydraulic commands given;
 RH joysck;
5.  switch: changes the preset operang
programs for each accessory (if present);
6. Load diagram indicaon LED: simulates the load
percentage applied to the accessory;
7.  switch: enables lng of the accessory
or its specic funcons;
8. LH joysck;
9. buon to connect radio control → forkli truck;
10. main radio control switch;
11. emergency pump acvaon buon;
wiring connector socket for liing plaorm.
Batteries
In the centre of the radio control under the emergency
buon are the LEDs for checking operaon of the radio
control and the charging state of the baeries.
:
• not acve indicates that the radio control is switched
o;
• slow ashing indicates that the radio control is
switched on but is not connected to the vehicle;
• fast ashing indicates that the radio control is
connected to the vehicle properly and is working.
 :
• not acve indicates the correct charging level of the
baeries;
• on ashing indicates the low charging level of the
baeries;
• on steady indicates a malfuncon of the radio control.
To recharge the baery, remove it from the underside of
the radio control and insert it into the charger in the cab.

To acvate the radio control, proceed as follows:
• start the vehicle and conrm the accessory on the
mulple funcon display in the cab by pressing the
green buon;
• stabilise the vehicle with the reverse gear
in NEUTRAL and parking brake engaged;
• on the CONTROLS PAGE or STABILISERS PAGE
on the mulple funcon display, acvate the radio
control connecon buon;
• turn the radio control on with the aforemenoned
switch [10] and make sure the red emergency
buon is not locked in the safety posion; check
this condion by rotang the buon clockwise;
• press the green buon [9] to enable the connecon.
Connecon is indicated by the vehicle horn making
a warning sound.
If connecon between the radio control and the
forkli truck has been interrupted by the red
emergency buon being pressed (for the vehicle or
radio control), reacvate it as follows:
• reset the red emergency buon by rotang it
anclockwise;
• press the green radio control buon once
to reacvate the radio control/forkli truck
connecon, conrmed by the vehicle horn making
a warning sound;
• press the green radio control buon again to start
the vehicle’s I.C. engine, conrmed by the vehicle
horn making a warning sound.


the RH to rotate the accessory downwards;

the LH to rotate the accessory upwards;

telescopic boom;
• : move the joysck backwards to retract the
telescopic boom;
• D1: move the joysck to the RH to rotate the turret
of the vehicle clockwise;
• : move the joysck to the LH to rotate the turret
of the vehicle anclockwise.
