REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

1. SaFety
1.1 FOREWORD
The technicians of Alessanderx S.p.A. will make sure that, during installation of the product, the user is duly
informed about the risks of injury, the devices designed to ensure his safety and about the risks of noise emission, in
accordance with the provisions of the international directives and of the legislation applicable in the country where
the product is installed (see Chap. 3 Par. 3.10 “REFERENCE LAWS AND STANDARDS” and Par. 3.11 “SAFETY SIGNS”).
The behaviour of the user when performing maintenance, cleaning, inspections, etc. must, at any rate, comply with
the above laws, regulations and standards in force in the country where the product is installed. Before activating and
operating the product, the user must be fully aware of all the controls and their features, and must also have read this
manual in its entirety. The product must only be used by users who have participated in the training course organized
by Alessanderx S.p.A. when installing the product and who have fully read and understand the instructions contained
in this manual. Users are required to fully follow the instructions, warnings and general rules given in this manual.
The tampering/unauthorized substitution of one or more parts or units of the product, and the use of accessories
other than those recommended by the manufacturer, may involve the risk of injury and relieves the manufacturer
from all civil and criminal liability.
1.2 INTENDED USE OF THE PRODUCT
ATTENTION
• The MagniSmartech ©system in its purchased version has been designed for “self care” use.
• The MagniSmartech ©system in its purchased version features electrical components that can cause damage or
injury if not used properly.
• The MagniSmartech ©system in its purchased version is not a medical device and is not capable of performing
diagnoses and treatments, or of preventing disease.
• Consult your doctor if you suffer from diseases that may be affected by the use of the MagniSmartech ©system
in its purchased version.

The MagniSmartech ©system is meant to be used in the following configuration and operating conditions:
“MagniSmartech” version (complete system) with a motorized slatted bed frame, motor control & anti-snoring
functions, and a vital signs acquisition system and chromotherapy.
Other types of use are not compatible with the specific characteristics of the product.
1.3 GENERAL SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
It is absolutely forbidden for unauthorized personnel to perform any operation whatsoever.
Never bypass the protective devices, which are designed to protect the safety of the user.
Routine and special maintenance tasks must be performed while the product is not operating and without power
supplied to the system. Any repairs of the electrical systems must be carried out with the power off.
Do not put hands or other foreign objects on moving parts, let alone liquid containers near the electrical parts.
The user must avoid unsafe operations on the product that could compromise its balance. It is strictly prohibited to
remove or disengage the safety devices.
1.4 CONNECTIONS
The main electrical supply should be adequate to withstand the maximum power consumption of the machine, as
indicated.
The electrical connection includes the introduction of the plug of the connection cable/s of the supplied transformer/s
into two 10 A power supply outlets (depending upon the electrical system in use ) located as close as possible to the
area of installation of the product.
1.5 EARTHING SYSTEM
The earthing and short circuit of the metal structures the product consists of is ensured through the power supply
through the low voltage transformer (the current flows toward the earthing lead-in wire of the user’s electrical
system). The earthing connection must be also be performed for the low-voltage systems which are located in areas
that are usually wet and very humid (if the voltage exceeds 25 V to earth for alternate current and 50 V towards earth
for direct current).

At adjustment stage (raising/lowering of the front/rear part), the user
may contact the moving parts of the motorized slatted bed frame.
The “L” areas show risks of:
abrasion
dragging
crushing
External/lower parts provided with power/control connections and
diagram of the MagniSmartech ©system drive motors.
All the electrical connections in the distribution system of the
“MagniSmartech ©Motor” and “MagniSmartech” are provided
in compliance with the harmonized and technical standards of
Directives 2006/42/CE, 2014/35/UE and subsequent amendments
and integrations and 2014/30/UE and subsequent amendments and
integrations. Furthermore, the user must pay attention to make sure
that they do NOT plug the holes of the motor control units located in
the lower part of the bed, in order to ensure the greatest dissipation.
