MSS One-Year Limited Warranty
(Applies only to equipment owne an operate in North
America)
During the One-Year Warranty perio , MAHLE
Aftermarket Inc., Service Solutions (MSS) is solely
responsible for costs associate with parts an labor for
repairs nee e ue to efects in material an /or
workmanship. MSS is not responsible for the costs
associate with repairs nee e ue to improper use or a
lack of normal maintenance. MSS’s goal is to provi e a
timely turn-aroun of the covere pro uct requiring
warranty repair.
The Customer is responsible to ASSIST AND
ARTICI ATE with MSS Technical Support in the
over-the-phone diagnosis process of:
A) Determining that a legitimate failure has
occurred and that the complaint is not just
the result of inadequate training and/or
improper use that could be easily
remedied by over-the-phone instructions.
B) Determining the nature of the failure and
that it is reasonable for MSS Technical
Support to judge over the phone that the
failure is warrantable.
C) Determining the parts necessary to make
the repairs so that those parts can be
shipped via the appropriate expedited
method at the expense of MSS if the failure
is warrantable.
During the One Year Warranty perio for failures that are
eeme by MSS to be warrantable, MSS is solely
responsible for provi ing Fiel Repair Service within a
reasonable perio of time after a warrantable failure is
reporte . Fiel Repair Service is generally available in all
areas within 150 miles of major metropolitan areas of the
US. A reasonable perio of time will epen on the
location of the customer an the time of the year. MSS
maintains a large network of Service Provi ers in the US.
When Fiel Repair Service is nee e , in most locations
near a major US metropolitan area, an uring most
times of the year, a reasonable perio of time for Fiel
Service is 24 to 48 hours after parts are receive by the
Customer.
Since repair parts from MSS will normally arrive 24 to 48
hours after the Customer reports a failure, the Customer
may at his sole option an iscretion, choose to make
the necessary repairs, with over-the-phone support from
MSS Technical Support so as to minimize owntime. In
such case, MSS will compensate the Customer or the
Customer’s employee as appropriate for the time
necessary to make repairs if the failure is covere by
warranty.
It is the Customer’s responsibility to maintain the MSS
Equipment accor ing to instructions in the MSS
Operation Manual for the covere pro uct as well as to
operate the equipment in a commercially reasonable
manner as generally escribe in the MSS Operation
Manual. MSS provi es free Technical Support over toll-
free telephone lines in the US to assist the customer in
this regar for the life of the covere pro uct.
The Customer shoul review the legal Warranty
Disclaimer for more etails of coverage an limitations.
Ancillary accessories such as Refrigerant I entifiers,
Leak Detector Lights an Leak Detectors must be
returne to MSS for repair or replacement with a new or
refurbishe unit, at MSS’s sole iscretion, in case of a
warrantable efect.

WARRANTY DISCLAIMER FOR PRODUCTS OF MAHLE
AFTERMARKET INC., SERVICE SOLUTIONS (MSS)
1. MSS'S WARRANTY
This is to certify that MAHLE Aftermarket Inc., MSS Division warrants
to the first retail purchaser only, the escribe new pro uct
manufacture by it to be free from efects in materials an
workmanship, when properly maintaine , under normal use and
service for a period of ONE YEAR. All spare parts supplie by MSS
will have a 90 ay warranty. This warranty inclu es the reasonable
cost of parts an materials as well as non-overtime labor. MSS shall
be the sole ju ge of whether failure is warrantable.
2. URCHASER'S REMEDY
urchaser's sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty shall
be limited to the repair or replacement, at MSS’s option, of any
defective part of the product. urchaser shall call MSS Technical
Support who will assist urchaser in diagnosing the problem
and, if deemed necessary, will immediately ship replacement
parts for installation by urchaser if so requested. If urchaser
requests Factory service, repairs under this warranty shall only
be made at a location designated by MSS.
3. DURATION
This warranty will expire one year from ate of elivery to the first
retail purchaser.
4. URCHASER'S DUTIES
(a) Register pro uct with MSS by returning complete Warranty
Registration within 90 ays of elivery of unit.
(b) Transportation Expense: Transportation expenses to an from
the MSS's facility are to be borne by the Purchaser.
(c) Notice of breach: Purchaser shall give written notice to MSS of
any allege refusal or failure of MSS to repair or replace as
promise by this warranty no later than fifteen ays after the
Purchaser learns of such allege failure or refusal.
5. DISCLAIMER
THE EXPRESS WARRANTY HEREIN IS IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL
OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. NO IMPLIED
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY IS MADE AND THERE ARE NO
WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON
THE FACE HEREOF.
6. EXCLUSIONS
The warranty an obligations state here shall not apply to:
(a) Any pro uct not registere within 90 ays of elivery.
(b) Any pro uct repaire or altere without prior approval of MSS
so as to affect a versely its stability or reliability.
(c) Any pro uct subjecte to misuse, abuse or acci ent as well as
pro ucts use in a manner contrary to written instructions or
normal operating proce ure.
( ) Any amage to pro uct uring original shipment or subsequent
shipments to MSS’s facility for service.
(e) Portions of pro ucts which are subject to warranties, if any,
given by their manufacturers. MSS oes not a opt these
warranties.
6. EXCLUSIONS (Continued)
(f) Parts, accessories or other items manufacture by others which
are use or installe on the pro uct as a result of Purchaser's
specifications.
(g) Use items furnishe by the Purchaser for installation on the
pro uct.
(h) Items which are not efective, but must be replace uring the
warranty perio as a result of fair wear an tear or sche ule
maintenance.
(i) Hoses, fiel service couplings, a apters, gaskets an O-rings
carry a ninety ay warranty.
(j) Filters, vacuum pump oil an compressor oil are consi ere
consumables an are not covere by any warranty.
(k) The Warranty may be consi ere voi if evi ence of any
refrigerant system sealer is foun in any of the internal
components of an MSS recovery/recycling machine.
(l) Refrigerant loss is not covere . The Purchaser is responsible for
etecting system leaks an a vising MSS of same if
warrantable repair is require .
(m) Calibration of equipment, having integrate soli -state controls
an loa cells for weighing flui s, is not covere beyon the
initial setup an commissioning of the equipment. The
requirement for calibration of loa cell controls is consi ere
normal maintenance an is epen ent on many factors, the
main one being the care taken when moving the equipment
about the shop.
7. EXCLUSION OF LOST ROFITS AND OTHER
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
MSS will have no liability for any lost profit, cargo loss, usage loss or
other consequential amages allege to have been cause by any
efect in the pro uct or any failure of MSS to meet any obligation
un er this agreement inclu ing the obligation to repair an replace
set forth in Paragraph 2.
8. LIMITATIONS OF ACTIONS
No action for breach of this warranty shall commence more than one
year after the accrual of the cause of action.
9. MERGER
This written warranty is the complete, final an exclusive agreement
of the parties with respect to the quality or performance of the goo s
an any an all warranties an representations, except warranty
extensions, if any, in writing as applicable.
10. NO ORAL MODIFICATIONS OR WAIVERS
No mo ification of this warranty or waiver of its terms shall be bin ing
on either party unless approve in writing by an authorize official of
the parties.
11. GOVERNING LAW
This warranty an the rights an uties of the parties un er this
warranty shall be governe by the law of Pennsylvania, the state of
the MSS’s principle place of business.

2. General safety
Before attempting to operate this equipment, thoroughly
rea an un erstan this manual to avoi injury.
Completely remove all tape an packaging. Inspect
the equipment imme iately upon elivery.
Keep this manual. If you nee to replace the manual, call
customer service at 1-800-468-2321 option 1 or visit
www.servicesolutions.mahle.com for a igital copy.
Rea all pro uct safety labels.
Refer to appropriate regulations for environmental an
workplace safety rules.
2.2 Warnings
To avoid serious injury or death, rea this manual
carefully before operating this unit. Contact the
manufacturer using contact information on the back
cover of this manual if you have any questions.
Eye protection: Proper eye protection must be worn
when operating the VOX-14HD.
Avoid fluid spillage: When isconnecting the quick
isconnect fittings, wrap a shop rag aroun fitting to
catch any resi ual flui s.
Do not leave the VOX-14HD running unattended.
Always isconnect from power/air source when the
VOX-14HD is not in use.
Avoid inhaling mist or hot vapors. Always perform
engine or vehicle fuel system maintenance in a well
ventilate area that is free of bystan ers.
Never run a vehicle engine without adequate
ventilation. Breathing vehicle emissions can cause
sickness, injury, or eath
The ignition key must be in the off position, unless
otherwise irecte . To avoi unintentional engine start
up, use a lockout key an /or signage to alert
personnel that work is being performe .
The VOX-14HD is to be used with engine oil only.
Do not use the VOX-14HD with any other flui .
Engine fluids (oil, fuel, and coolant) may be a
hazard to human health and the environment.

applicable regulations. Recycle or ispose of engine
flui s, filters, an other contaminate materials

5.2 Features
The VOX-14HD is only approve for use with engine oil.
It is not approve for use with any other liqui s.
The VOX-14HD is esigne to:
•Drain engine oil
•Purge oil from filter
•Collect oil sample for analysis
•Refill engine oil
The VOX-14HD service is fast (shop to roa in un er

6. Operation
WARNING - This section iscusses the appropriate an
safe metho s for using the equipment. Always ensure
proper un erstan ing of the equipment function prior to
use to avoi injury.
Operation of the VOX-14HD is split into 5 ifferent steps:
Connect to engine
Program/start
Purge/evacuate
Change filter
Intro uce clean oil

6. Engine oil change
Follow these instructions to change the engine oil.
1. Connect air supply to VOX-14HD.
2. Connect oil supply (un er pressure) to VOX-14HD at
the meter.
3. Connect the ¾” suction hose to the VOX-14HD rain
fitting (sol separately) on the engine.
4. Connect the ual hose to the VOX-14HD inlet fitting
(sol separately) on the engine.
5. Turn on OIL SAM LE switch if an oil sample is
esire .
6. Press an hol ENGINE OIL DRAIN button own
until button stays epresse . The VOX-14HD will
purge oil from filter an remove oil from pan. When
the oil pan is empty, the VOX-14HD will shut off
automatically.
7. Change oil filter
8. A fresh engine oil using the meter.
9. Check oil level.
10. Disconnect hoses from the engine.
Please rain VOX-14HD tank after every oil change.
6.2 Drain tank
1. Connect suction hose to your bulk waste tank (3/4”
NPT a apter inclu e with machine).
2. Press an hol WASTE OIL DRAIN button until the
button stays epresse .
3. VOX-14HD will shut off automatically after the tank is
empty.
