Navigation Settings
Power/Mode button: This should be used to turn your radio on
and into Standby. To put into standby, press and hold the button
to display the time, date and any settings set such as alarms.
To turn o standby, press the Standby button to be taken to the
home screen, or last function that you were using before putting
into standby.
When the radio is switched on to working mode, press the
button to display the mode home screen with available modes.
Info/Menu button: When on DAB or FM mode, press the
button (do not hold) multiple times to scroll through the station
information.
Press and hold the button to display the radio Menu settings.
Whilst creating settings, press the button to go back a step.
Navigation/OK/Volume Dial and Stop button in CD mode:
Rotate the dial clockwise or anticlockwise to scroll through
choices and press down the dial to conrm selections.
This dial will allow you to change the volume when you are on
the radio station playing screen.
CD functionality buttons: When in CD mode, use the CD
functionality buttons on the unit to eject the CD, stop, pause/
play, repeat/program, rewind and fastforward.

Please note that the instructions within this manual will refer
to the radio button number e.g (Ref.*X*) in accordance to the
diagrams on pages 2-3 or the remote (Rem.*X*) on pages 4-5.
Starting up your radio
Plug the adaptor connector into the back of the system labelled
‘DC in’ (Ref.) and turn the power on from the mains. The radio
will begin to power up and display a ‘MAJORITY’screen.
Ensure the antenna (Ref.) is extended as far as possible. This
will enable you to get the best signal you can before going to
DAB and FM modes and beginning to scan for available stations.
The radio will then begin a full scan for available digital DAB
stations and will display a scanning bar showing the amount
of stations found. Once the scan is complete, the rst available
digital radio station will automatically begin to play.
You can then select the chosen default language on the display
screen. Scroll through using the navigation dial (Ref.) and
select the chosen language by pressing down the dial.
To change the mode of the radio from DAB mode, press the
Power/Mode button (Ref.) to enter the mode home screen with
available modes. Use the Navigation/OK dial to scroll between
the available modes and select the mode by pressing down the
dial (Ref.)

Standby Mode
To place the radio into standby, press and hold the Power/Mode
button (Ref.) for 2-3 seconds and a standby screen showing the
date, time and alarm settings will display.
To take the radio o standby, press the Power/Mode button (do
not hold).
To switch the radio o completely, it is advisable to place the
radio into standby mode and then switch the radio o at the
mains.

DAB/DAB+ Radio
Press the Power/Mode button (Ref.) (do not hold the button)
or (Rem.6) to open the mode home screen. Select ‘DAB/DAB+’
on the main display screen by browsing with the Navigation dial
(Ref.) and selecting the mode by pressing down the dial or use
the navigation buttons on the remote (Rem.2/3/4/5/15).
On rst use of DAB, the available DAB stations will have already
been scanned and saved. If the radio has not automatically
scanned or you wish to rescan for available stations, press and
hold the Info/Menu button (Ref.), followed by selecting the
“Full Scan”option. The radio will now begin scanning for DAB
stations and will show ‘Scanning’on the display screen. It will
display how many stations have been found as the search
continues.
Once all of the available stations have been found, the rst
available station will play. To scroll through the available
stations, press the ‘<’ button (Ref.) to view the station list. Scroll
through the available stations with the Navigation dial (Ref.)
or the ‘<’ and ‘>’ button on the remote (Rem.3/4) and highlight
the chosen station. Select the station you wish to listen to by
pressing down the dial.
When you have selected a station, the screen will display the
station and begin to play. To choose the previous or next station,
go back to the list and use the Navigation dial or the remote
navigation buttons to scroll accordingly.

Pre-setting your favourite DAB/DAB+ stations
Up to 10 DAB/DAB+ stations can be preset for easy navigation.
To create a preset, you must be listening to the chosen station.
Presetting from the unit
From the unit, you can easily set preset number 1-3 by pressing
and holding one of the Preset 1-3 buttons (Ref./11/12).
Please ensure that the button is held for 2-3 seconds rather than
pressed. The screen will then display“Preset X Saved”.
To set preset number 4+, press and hold the Preset 4+ button
(Ref.) to open the ‘Save to Preset’ screen. Please ensure that
the button is held for 2-3 seconds rather than pressed. Use the
navigation dial to scroll through the preset numbers and select
the preset number by pressing down the dial (Ref.)
Presetting from the remote
When you have found your desired station, press and hold the
‘Preset’ button on the remote (Rem.21) for 2-3 seconds to go to
the ‘Save to Preset’screen.
Use the ‘<’ and ‘>’ buttons on the remote (Rem.3/15) to scroll to
the chosen preset number you wish to save the station to. Select
the preset number by pressing the OK button (Rem.4)
Please note: To remove a preset option that has been made,
simply preset another radio station over the preset number.

Recalling your preset DAB/DAB+ stations
Recalling presets from the unit
From the unit, you can easily recall preset number 1-3 by
pressing one of the Preset 1-3 buttons (Ref./11/12). Please
ensure that the button is being pressed and released, rather than
held. The screen will then begin playing the selected station.
To recall preset number 4+, press the Preset 4+ button (Ref.)
to open the ‘Preset Recall’screen. Use the navigation dial to scroll
through the preset numbers and select the preset station to play
by pressing down the dial (Ref.)

To recall your preset stations via the remote control, press (do
not hold) the Preset button (Ref.) to go to the ‘Preset Recall’
screen.
Use the ‘<’ and ‘>’ buttons on the remote (Rem.3/15) to scroll to
the chosen preset number you wish to play. Select the preset
number by pressing the OK button (Rem.4) and the station will
begin to play.

Whilst playing a DAB/DAB+ station, the following station
information can be viewed by pressing the ‘Menu/Info’button
repeatedly (Ref.2) on the unit.
Dynamic Label Segment (DLS): Displays text information
supplied by the broadcaster.
PTY (Programme Type): Shows the type and description of the
programme provided by the DAB station.
DAB Indication: Indicates DAB mode.
Channel and Frequency: Displays the station transmission
channel number and frequency.
Signal Error/Strength: Provides details of the station signal
strength.
Bit Rate: The data rate which the signal is being transmitted.
Date and Day: Displays the date and day of the week.

On DAB mode, open DAB radio settings by pressing and holding
the Menu/Info button (Ref.) for 2-3 seconds. The following
setting options will then display:
Station List: Select this option to view the available stations to
begin playing on the unit. Select a station to play by pressing
down the navigation dial (Ref.).
Full Scan: Select to begin a full scan for available digital radio
stations. This would be advisable to receive more stations or
resolve any signal issues.
Manual Tune: Select this option to scroll through available
stations by their DAB channel and frequency (MHz). Select a
station to play by pressing down the navigation dial (Ref.).
Prune Invalid: Select this option to remove invalid stations or
stations with poor signal. When “Proceed to prune the invalid
stations?” shows, select “Yes” with the navigation dial (Ref.) to
prune.
DRC (Dynamic Range Compression): Select this option to
reduce the volume of louder sounds and boost the volume of
quiter sounds. Select High, Low or O with the navigation dial
(Ref.)
System Settings: Press to open and edit system setting options
such as Equaliser, Time/Date, Backlight, Language, Factory Reset
and Software Version. These settings will be explained on pages
28 - 29 of the manual.

FM Radio
Press the Power/Mode button (do not hold the button) (Ref.)
or (Rem.6) to open the mode home screen. Select ‘FM’on the
main display screen by browsing with the Navigation dial (Ref.)
and selecting the mode by pressing down the dial or use the
navigation buttons on the remote (Rem.2/3/4/5/15).
On rst use of FM radio, initiate a manual scan up the bandwidth
for available stations by pressing and holding the ‘>’ button
(Ref.) for 2-3 seconds. The FM frequency will now increase
quickly as it scans. Once the bandwidth has been scanned, the
rst stored and available station up the bandwidth will begin to
play.
To scan quickly up the bandwidth between saved stations, press
and hold the ‘>’ button (Ref.) for 2-3 seconds and then release.
To scan quickly down the bandwidth between saved stations,
press and hold the ‘<’ button (Ref.) for 2-3 seconds and then
release.
To search slowly up the bandwidth, press the‘>’ button multiple
times (do not hold) until on your desired frequency. To search
slowly down the bandwidth, press the‘<’ button repeatedly (do
not hold) until on your desired frequency.

Whilst playing a FM station, the following station information
can be viewed by pressing the ‘Menu/Info’ button repeatedly
(Ref.2) on the unit.
