SETTINGS
GENERAL: In ths mode, the devce searches at the maxmum depth. Ths s an all metal
mode that provdes a sngle audo tone wth no metal dscrmnaton. The Iron Audo
button s not actve n ths mode.
MODE 1: The devce dscrmnates metals n ths mode. (Ths mode provdes deeper
searches than MODE 2.) Ths mode produces 3 derent audo tones n response to
derent metals. It provdes 2 smlar sounds for non-ferrous metals and gold and a
deeper sound for ferrous metals.
MODE 2: In ths mode, the devce provdes metal dscrmnaton as well as provdng
the best operaton on beaches and n areas rch n mnerals. Ths s the recommended
settng for the devce when huntng areas rch n ron, mnerals, beach condtons and
felds where the ground settng s not possble.
Senstvty settng s made to prevent nose from the ground or false sgnal sounds
caused by some electromagnetc nterference (electrcal machnes, radar, rado, TV,
electrc lnes etc.) n the envronment. The senstvty settng s also the depth settng.
When senstvty s set to be at the maxmum level, the depth wll ncrease to the max-
mum as well.
SENSITIVITY
Ths settng allows you to set the devce to accept or reject ferrous metal detecton. You
can turn on or o the sounds of these metals. Iron audo s only actve n Modes 1 and 2.
Iron audo can also be used to elmnate false or msleadng sgnals caused by ron mne-
rals n the ground.
IRON AUDIO
Ths button controls the overall sound level of the devce. By enhancng the audo
sgnal t allows the detecton of weak sgnal sounds receved from deeper or smaller
targets. Level 10 s the level where sound s the hghest. Note: as the volume level s
ncreased, the audo produced by false sgnals and ground nose wll also ncrease.
Gradually turnng the volume down from level 10, dmnshes the sound and turns t o
at the lowest settng.
VOLUME
Ths s a settng done to elmnate nose and nterference caused by mnerals n the
ground. Ground settng provdes the devce wth a hgher performance and prevents
t from transmttng false sgnals caused by mnerals n the ground.
GROUND SETTING

10
GROUND SETTING
GROUND SETTING s set to "0" and SENSITIVITY s set to "10". Search s done by lftng
the col to 5 cm from the ground and movng t rght to left n a parallel fashon.
Meanwhle, n order to elmnate ground eects, GROUND SETTING button s turned
from left to rght slowly and released when the sound stops. Your ground settng s
completed.
In case the ground beng searched has a varable nature, you should do the ground
settng n areas where the most ground eect s receved (such as by a rock or hole) n
order to mnmze the ground eect whle searchng.
It should be noted that ground settng levels should not exceed level “7”. At ths level,
the devce provdes the most stable search. Over level “7”, the devce detects ron and
gold but may cause depth loss for some other non-ferrous metals. In ths case, the
ground settng should be repeated by gradually decreasng the senstvty.
In case ground settng cannot be acheved and the devce produces deep sounds when
ron sound s over level 5, ths means the ground beng searched ncludes ron mnerals.
Another case when ground settng cannot be acheved s when the ground s abundant
n mnerals.
In these areas, f the ground settng cannot be stll acheved even f the senstvty s decre-
ased, you should change to Mode 1 or 2 and IRON AUDIO must be set to the mnmum.
NOTE: When there are changes in eects received from the ground or the environ-
ment, sensitivity and ground settings should be repeated.
In order to turn on the devce the on/o swtch should be brought to the desred opera-
tng poston (General, Mode 1 or Mode 2). A short sound wll be heard showng that the
devce s ready to use. You can swtch the devce o by turnng the swtch to the OFF
poston.

SEARCH AND METAL DETECTION
Upon completon of the
settngs, you can start
explorng by lftng the
head 5 cm from the
ground and movng t
rght to left n a parallel
fashon.
5 cm
CF77 s a moton devce and requres slow moton to detect the targets. That’s why t
should be movng to detect metals. As the devce operates on the prncple of automa-
tc reset, t does not detect the metal f you hold t steady over the metal.
Target Target
The devce provdes metals wth sngle sound n the GENERAL MODE and 3 derent
sounds n MODE 1 and Mode 2. You wll note 2 smlar sounds for non-ferrous metals
and gold and a deeper sound for ferrous metals. It s recommended that you test the
devce wth derent metals to be able to recognze the sounds. Ths wll make the
search easer for you n the feld.
Movng the devce both rght to left and left to
rght on the ground wll make t easer to detect
the metals that are dcult to detect.

12
SEARCH AND METAL DETECTION
In case there s stll nterference even after other settngs are done (ground settng, ron
audo), t s necessary to turn the senstvty down. As ths senstvty settng wll aect
depth, t should be done gradually.
Interference Elimination
In case you do not want ferrous metals to be detected, the IRON AUDIO button should
be set to the mnmum. At ths settng the devce does not produce sounds for ferrous
metals durng your search. When ron audo s turned rght, t wll provde a deeper
sound for ferrous metals.
If you are searchng n areas rch n mnerals and would lke to detect ferrous metals, set
the IRON AUDIO to maxmum. Next turn the control to the left untl the ron sound
comng from the ground s no longer heard. Ths process wll elmnate ron mneral
sounds and allow the devce to detect ferrous metals.
Elmnatng ferrous metals
When the target s detected, dg the surface by 3–5 cm and check the sgnal agan. If no
sgnal s receved, the target s n sol removed.
If the target s stll n the ground, cut the secton whch you thnk ncludes the target
usng a sharp tool. Ths prevents the materal from beng scattered around and makes
t easer to fll n the hole after your recovery. Check f the target s n the hole dg. If the
target s not n the hole, place the detector on the ground by mantanng parallel
poston of the head and grasp some sol and move t around the search col. Make sure
you do not have other metal such as a rng, watch, bracelet, etc. on you. Repeat ths
acton untl you fnd the target. Be sure to fll the hole back n as you found t when you
make sure no targets are stll left n the ground.
Digging the target out
As n all metal detectors, the devce may not provde 100% accuracy because
metals send derent sgnals dependng on ther postons, depth, mneral
ntensty, conductvty and shapes. For example, a rusty sheet or can n the
ground may send gold lke sgnals. In these cases, t s best to dg to fnd out.
WARNING!

TROUBLESHOOTING and MAINTENANCE
Devce s not operatng at all?
1. Check the battery power and connectons.
2. Make sure that the batteres are algned to the battery termnals n the proper oren-
taton.
Devce receves nterference?
1. Make sure that the col s tghtened and wrap the col wre securely around the shaft.
2. Walls or ground mght contan metals f you are usng the devce ndoors.
3. There mght be another detector operatng nearby or you mght be too close to a
power grd.
4. Lower the senstvty.
5. Ground s rch n mnerals.
Devce receves sgnals wth uncertan ntervals.
Intervals mght mean derent angle or very deep targets. Do the search from derent
angles or dg an addtonal 5-10 cm.
CF77 that you have purchased does not requre extensve mantenance as t s manufac-
tured wth hgh qualty materals. Followng are the recommendatons n order to get
the best performance and be able to operate the devce for a long tme:
If you wll not use the devce for some tme, remove the batteres. If batteres leak,
serous damages may occur n the battery box. Your devce warranty wll be vod
because of user error.
Keep the devce clean, f there s dust and sand accumulaton around the devce,
wpe wth a wet cloth and dry wth a dry cloth. Sand and dust may damage functon
buttons.
Do not rub the search col drectly on the ground. Replace the protectve cover f t
s worn n order not to damage col.
Control box s desgned resstant to humdty but t s not water resstant. Therefore,
control box should not contact water.
Never let the devce contact petroleum-based products.
