3. Montage
Vor der Installation vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Funkgerät
in das Einbaufach passt und dass Sie alle notwendigen
Installationsmaterialien zur Hand haben.
• Setzen Sie den mitgelieferten Rahmen in das Einbaufach
des Armaturenbretts.
• Drücken Sie die, oben und unten im Rahmen vorhandenen
Blechlaschen nach außen, um den Rahmen im Einbaufach
zu befestigen.
• Vor dem Einschieben des Funkgeräts in den Rahmen müssen

alle erforderliche Kabel an das Funkgerät angeschlossen
werden.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Verkabelung nicht durch
Metallteile eingeklemmt oder eingeschnitten wird.
• Schieben Sie das Funkgerät vorsichtig in die Halterung,
bis dieses einrastet.
3.1. Handmikrofon
Schließen Sie das Handmikrofon an die Mikrofonbuchse (5) an
und schrauben Sie die Überwurfmutter handfest an.
4. Demontage
Möchten Sie das Funkgerät aus der DIN-Halterung ausbauen,
so benutzen Sie hierzu die beiden mitgelieferten Ausbau-
Schlüssel wie folgt:
• Setzen Sie die beiden Schlüssel gerade in die Schlitze
im Gummiring links und rechts von der Blende des
Funkgeräts ein.
• Beide Schlüssel ganz hineinschieben, damit wird das
Funkgerät entriegelt wird.
• An beiden Schlüsseln gleichmäßig ziehen und das Gerät
ohne Verkanten aus dem Rahmen herausgeziehen.
• Bewahren Sie die Schlüssel auf für späteren Gebrauch.

5. Bedienung
5.1. Ein- und Ausschalten
Zum Einschalten oder Einstellen der Lautstärke drehen Sie den
Lautstärkeregler nach rechts im Uhrzeigersinn.
5.2. Ländercode Einstellung
Das MAN 3008 VOX unterstützt alle aktuellen europäischen CB-
Funk Standards.
• Taste für das entsprechende Land entsprechend der
Tabelle gedrückt halten und dann das Gerät einschalten.
• Taste(n) loslassen.

Mit der letzten Tastenkombination wird das Gerät zurück in
den Auslieferungszustand gesetzt (Reset). Dieses könnte
erforderlich sein, wenn sich das Funkgerät nicht mehr normal
bedienen lässt.
5.3. Kanalwahl
Um auf einen höheren bzw. niedrigeren Kanal zu wechseln
drehen Sie den Kanalwahlschalter (11) im bzw. gegen den
Uhrzeigersinn.
Alternativ verwenden Sie die Pfeiltasten am Mikrofon (16 und
18).
5.4. Senden
Zum Senden drücken und
halten Sie die Sendetaste
(15), solange Sie sprechen.
Sobald die Taste losgelassen
wird, ist das Gerät wieder
bereit, Funksprüche zu
empfangen.
5.5. AM/FM Umschaltung
Indem Sie die AM/FM Taste (6) drücken, können Sie zwischen 2
Betriebsmodi wählen: AM und FM. Um mit anderen Funkern zu

kommunizieren, müssen alle Geräte die gleiche Modulationsart
gewählt haben.
Sollten Sie also einen Funkspruch empfangen, können den
anderen Teilnehmer aber nicht verstehen, wechseln Sie den
Modus.
Traditionell wird der Kanal 9 in AM von vielen Truckern
verwendet.
Auf den Kanälen 41-80 kann lediglich in FM gesendet werden.
Wird AM auf diesen Kanälen gewählt, dann zeigt das Display
„Er“ (Error) und das Gerät sendet nicht.
5.6. Automatische Rauschsperre (ASQ)
Die automatische Rauschsperre blendet das Kanalrauschen
aus, so dass nur noch Funksprüche zu hören sind. Sie wird
durch Drücken der ASQ-Taste (10) aktiviert.
Alternativ können Sie außerdem die manuelle Rauschsperre
(3) oder CTCSS nutzen. Mehr Informationen zu diesen
Einstellungen fi nden Sie in der Onlineversion dieser Anleitung.

5.7. VOX-Funktion / Kanal 9 Direktzugriff
Drücken Sie die Taste VOX/EMG kurz, um die VOX-Funktion
ein- oder auszuschalten. Wenn die VOX-Funktion aktiviert ist,
schaltet das Funkgerät automatisch auf Sendung, sobald es
Sprache erkennt. Sie müssen das Mikrofon nicht mehr zum
Senden in die Hand nehmen.
Drücken Sie die Taste VOX/EMG lang, um zwischen dem aktuell
verwendeten Kanal und dem international verwendetem Notruf-
Kanal 9 hin und her zu schalten.
Im Menü können weitere VOX Einstellugen vorgenommen
werden. Für nähere Einzelheiten lesen Sie bitte die Onlineversion
dieser Anleitung.

3. Assembly
When installing your CB radio in your vehicle, check that
during installation you do not damage any wiring or vehicle
components that may be hidden around the mounting position.
3.1. Mounting using DIN Sleeve
Before installing, confi rm that this radio fi ts in the desired
mounting area and you have all the necessary kits to complete
the installation
• Install DIN Sleeve into the opening in your dashboard, lip
facing out.
• Push out the top and bottom tabs to hold the sleeve fi rmly
in place.
• Before inserting this radio in the sleeve, wire the antenna
(12) and DC (13) cable

• Make sure all the connections are routed away from any
potentially pinching or slicing other metallic parts.
• Slowly slide the radio into the sleeve until it locks in place.
• The rubber ring will act as a seal against the DIN Sleeve.
3.2. Microphone
Connect the microphone to the microphone connector (5) and
screw the coupling nut hand-tight.
4. Disassembly
If you plan to remove the radio from DIN Sleeve, you should do it
using the provided two removal keys as explained below:
• Fully insert both removal keys straight into the slot spaces
of the rubber ring on the left and the right edges of the
radio front panel.
• You cannot remove the radio if only one key is used.
• Press in fully and the radio will unlock from the sleeve
making withdrawal from the sleeve possible.
• Store the keys in a safe place for future use
• Now disconnect the DC and antenna connector (13 and
12).

5. Operation
5.1. Power On/Off
Turn the rotary volume switch clockwise to power on and adjust
the sound level for comfortable reception.
5.2. Country switching
The MAN 3008 VOX supports all current European CB radio
standards.
• Switch the Power on, while keeping the required button
(see table) pressed for each country setting
• Then release button(s) again
This last key combination is used to perform a Factory Reset (to
default settings). This may be a useful action in cases where the

radio may perhaps react abnormal.
A reset can restore the functions if the CPU seems to be blocked.
5.3. Channel Selection
In order to increase or decrease the channel turn the channel
selector (11) clockwise or counter-clockwise.
Alternatively use the up/down buttons (16 and 18) on the
microphone.
5.4. Transmitting
To start transmitting press and hold the PTT button (15) as long
as you speak
Once the button is released the radio is again ready to receive.

5.5. AM/FM Selection
You can select 2 modes by pressing the AM/FM button (6):
amplitude modulation (AM) and frequency modulation (FM). To
communicate with other users all radios have to use the same
modulation.
Should you receive radio communication but cannot understand
the other side, please change the mode.
On channels 41-80 only FM can be used. When AM is selected
and the PTT is pressed the display shows „Er“ (Error) and the
radio does not transmit.
5.6. Automatic Squelch (ASQ)
The automatic squelch is masking the channel noise, so only
communication is heard. You can activate it by pressing the
ASQ button (10).
Alternatively you can use the manual squelch (3) or CTCSS.

5.7. VOX function / EMG Channel 9
Short press VOX/EMG button to activate or deactivate the
VOX function. The VOX function allows to communicate hands
free. When the VOX function is activated, the radio recognizes
speech and automatically starts transmitting.
Long press VOX/EMG (Emergency) button for instant access to
the international Calling & Emergency channel 9.
In the menu additional VOX settings can be made. For further
information please check the online version of this manual.
