properly, contact your M&S installer or call M&S Systems

concerns.
After carefully unpacking your subwoofer, the carton and the
packaging material should be saved for possible use later.
To attach the feet to the subwoofer, lay it on its top with the
speaker facing up. Remove the feet from their package and
screw them into the pre-drilled holes located on the bottom of the
subwoofer with a screwdriver. Once the feet are tightly secured,
place the subwoofer upright on its feet.
If the subwoofer appears to be damaged, do not attempt to
repair or connect the unit to the amplifier. If you have to return
the subwoofer first remove the feet, then repack the subwoofer
and notify your distributor or M&S Systems for replacement or
repair.
You can contact the M&S Customer Service team at 1-800-421-

For the best sound, place the PSW112 subwoofer next to a wall
or in a front corner of your room near your main speakers.
IMPORTANT! Do not cover or seal the back of the PSW112
subwoofer. Doing so will reduce the air ventilation and may
damage the unit.

X’Over Bypass – This control manages the frequency
control of the subwoofer.
oX’Over Bypass Off – The subwoofer operates
based on the frequency adjust control settings.
oX’Over Bypass On – The frequency adjust
control setting is bypassed. This extends the
subwoofer high-end range to approximately
300Hz.

First, turn off power to your entire system to prevent accidents
such as short circuits from damaging your equipment.
The PSW112 subwoofer can be connected to your system using
one of three methods. The method you select is based on the
configuration of your system.
1. Amplifier with a subwoofer output connection – If your
system has a subwoofer output connection, use an RCA
type connector to connect the PSW112 subwoofer to your
receiver. A shielded audio cable is required for this setup
with a Y-adapter connecting the audio cable to Left and
Right Line Level Input on the subwoofer.
2. Separate pre-amp/power amp configuration – When
using a separate pre-amplifier/power amplifier the audio
cables may be routed through the PSW112 subwoofer unit.
Connect the pre-amplifier to the Line Level Inputs via RCA
cables and connect the Line Level Outputs to the power
amplifier.
Connecting Your SubwooferSubwoofer Controls
Your PSW112 subwoofer has several controls that allow you
to configure the unit to reflect your personal music tastes. All
controls are found on the back of the unit.
Frequency Adjust – This adjusts the upper
frequency range of the subwoofer. A typical setting
when using the subwoofer with the MNCX Platinum
Mini-Cube speakers is between 120Hz to 140Hz.
Auto Power – The subwoofer can be set up with
two different power configurations:
oAuto Power On – The subwoofer will power
down a few minutes after the signal is
removed and it will turn on immediately
when it receives a signal.
oAuto Power Off – The subwoofer is
constantly on if the unit is powered up.
Volume Control – The volume control should be
set to the desired bass level for the system.
Phase – The Phase switch is set for the best bass
sound. Switch between the 0 and 180 position until
the bass is the loudest. In some applications, there
may be no noticeable difference and in this case
leave the switch in the 0 position.

Speaker Level Connections
The Speaker Level Output has a 100Hz built-in high pass
filter.
The PSW112 Speaker Level Connections are shown in the
picture below and can be found on the back of the
subwoofer.
Line Level Connections
The PSW112 Line Level Connections are shown in the
picture below and can be found on the back of the
subwoofer.
Plug in the PSW112 power cord. Do not plug the PSW112
subwoofer into a switched outlet on your receiver. The
PSW112 has an automatic stand-by circuit to ensure prompt
power up and connecting the unit to a switched outlet will
delay the output and lead to noise on power down.
3. Connect using speaker wires – Connect the wires
from the amplifier to the “Speaker Level Inputs” and
the wires going to the speakers should be connected
to the “Speaker Level Outputs”.
IMPORTANT! Make sure there are no loose
strands of wire touching each other across the
speaker or amplifier terminals. This can create a
short circuit and damage your electronics.
