Safety Rules
Remember, any piece of equipment like a motorcycle trailer can cause injury if operated improperly or if the
user does not understand how to operate the equipment. Exercise caution at all times when using your tow
vehicle and tow trailer.
Please exercise caution at ALL times when using the trailer on your tow vehicle:
•Make sure that the towing vehicle and the hitch on your vehicle is more than capable of towing the
trailer. It is important to check your vehicle owner’s manual for trailer ratings.
•Check that the trailer coupler is fastened securely onto the Towing vehicles ball. The trailer ball must
be a 1 7/8” ball.
•Make sure coupler is locked and the safety chains are attached to the trailer and the vehicle.
•Check the operation of all lights. Operating lights are mandatory on a trailer and must operate
correctly.
•Inspect the trailer and all parts before use.
•Check to insure that all Wheel Bolts are tight. Torque to 80 ft.lbs. Re-tighten after the first 50 miles,
or 80 kilometers.
•Check the tire pressure. Maximum 80 PSI (552 KPA) when carrying the maximum rated load.
•Repack the wheel bearings every 2000 miles or 3200 kilometers or a minimum of once every year.
•Swivel Hitch may be needed to ensure safe turning when being pulled behind a motorcycle. Swivel
hitches sold separately.
•Do not exceed the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating ( G.V.W.R.) which is shown on the trailer serial /
certification label.
•Balance and secure the load on the trailer. See the trailer loading section in this manual.
•Lubrication of the coupler, springs and the tilt mechanism should be done periodically to stop
corrosion and keep parts moving freely.

By following these simple instructions, you will maximize the life of
your trailer and help safely transport your cargo.
WARNING!!!
DO NOT ABUSE THE TRAILER. The Marlon trailer performance is best if you follow the
guidelines set forth in this manual. Do not force the Marlon trailer to do a job it is not
designed for. Know your Marlon trailer; learn its limitations and applications.
•KEEP CHILDREN AWAY. Be sure children are kept a safe distance from the Marlon
trailer operating area.
•NEVER sit or ride on the Marlon trailer. Serious injury or death could occur.
WARNING: VEHICLE BRAKING AND STABILITY MAY BE AFFECTED WITH THE ADDITION OF
THIS TRAILER.
WARNING: Improper tire pressure can result in a blowout and loss of control, which can
lead to death or serious injury. Be sure tires are inflated to pressure indicated on sidewall before towing.

WARNING: Lug nuts are prone to loosen after initial installation, and if improperly
tightened can lead to death or serious injury.
-Check lug nuts for tightness on a new trailer or when wheel(s) have been remounted after the first
50 miles or 80 kilometers of use. Tighten lug nuts before each use.
WARNING: An overloaded trailer or improper distribution of load weight or shifting cargo
can result in the loss of control of trailer, leading to death or serious injury.
-Do not exceed the trailer Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)
-Tie down all loads with proper sized fasteners, ropes straps, etc.
Be sure to:
-Distribute the load front-to-rear and provide proper tongue weight;
-Distribute the load evenly, right and left to avoid tire overload; and
-Keep the center of gravity low.
WARNING: Improper electrical connection between the tow vehicle and the trailer will
result in inoperable lights and electric brakes, and can lead to collision.
Before each use:
-Check tail/brake light functions properly
-Check electric brakes (if applicable) function properly

WARNING: An improper coupled trailer can result in death or serious injury.
Do not tow trailer until:
-The coupler is secured and locked to hitch;
-The coupler is adjusted properly to fit the towing vehicle ball;
-Tires and wheels are checked;
-The trailer brakes (if applicable) are checked;
-The load is secured to the trailer; and
-The trailer lights are connected and checked.

Assembly instructions for the Marlon AMT Trailer
1. Cut open box be careful not to cut through box and damage the enclosed trailer finish.
2. Unpack your AMT Trailer. Keep cardboard for step 4.

3. Carefully cut bubble wrap off of axel’s, tongue, fenders, tie down bar, and trailer body.
4. With the help of 2 people, turn trailer body
on its back for assembly. Use cardboard from
packaging to protect trailer body.
5. Mount axle in front mounting
holes. Make sure torsion swing arm
is pointing towards taillights. Use
bolts to secure the axles to the trailer
frame.

6. Attach tongue to tongue slot in the front of the
trailer, and plug wire from the tongue in with the
wire from trailer body together.
7. Remove hub dust cap with flat head screw driver. Pump grease into hub threw grease nipple on outer
rim of hub; once you see new grease you’ve put enough in. Then put dust cap back on hub.

9. Put tire on and tighten lug nuts to torque 80 ft. lbs. Then with the help of two people role trailer over
into the upright position. Make sure tires are fully inflated to the proper tire pressure see side of tire.
8. Attach both fenders to trailer body using four bolts per fender.

10. Attach cargo platform/cooler rack to tongue using two bolts.
11. Attach tie down bar to lid (top of trailer) using 8 bolts. Place rubber grommets between the lid and the
tie down bar.

12. Wire license plate light into frame wires found on the bottom back right side of trailer. Attach the
black wire from the license plate light to the brake light brown wire and the frame brown wire. Then
the white wire from license place light to the break light white wire and to the frame wire white.
Sauder wire together and use heat shirt over sauder to protect wires. Screw two self-taping #10-
16X3/4” (Not supplied) threw the license plate holder into the frame of the trailer body.

Installation of the Optional AMT Accessories
Optional tool box for your Marlon AMT Trailer. Replaces
your cargo/cooler rack platform.
Optional swivel hitch for your Marlon AMT Trailer. Mount the
existing coupler on the end of the swivel hitch and then insert the
swivel hitch in the tongue tube. Use the coupler bolts for
tightening to tongue and short bolts to fasten the coupler to the
swivel hitch.
