Congratulations on your purchase of the Marmitek Split 312 UHD™!
This active HDMI splitter connects 2 screens (TV or projector) with a single
HDMI source. Unlike passive HDMI splitters, it can do this without any loss
of signal or encryption, while maintaining optimal image quality. It's also
ideal for use with HDMI Extenders, for example, to another room. The Split
312 UHD™ supports Ultra HD (4k), Full HD (1080p) and all 3D formats,
making it suitable for all your existing and future equipment.
Marmitek products are manufactured with the utmost care and are
exceptionally high quality. Please read this manual carefully and follow the
instructions in order to get the best from this product.

4. INSTALLATION
Before installation:
xTurn off all devices (TV and HDMI sources) before connecting them
to the Split 312 UHD™. If a device cannot be turned off, please
remove the plug from the socket.

xOnly use High Speed HDMI® certified cables for the best picture and
sound quality. Using too much force to connect or disconnect the
HDMI cables may damage them.
1. Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI source (such as a game
console, Blu-ray player and Digital TV Decoder) to the HDMI port
marked "HDMI Input".
2. Use an HDMI cable to connect the screens (TVs or projectors) to
HDMI ports marked "HDMI output".
3. Preferably, connect to the screen with the highest resolution (e.g.
UltraHD or Full HD) to "output 1" and the lower resolution screen to
"output 2".
4. Connect the power adapter to the "DC 5V" and insert the plug into the
socket.
5. EDID SETTINGS
EDID stands for Extended Display Identification Data and is used for
communication between HDMI sources and screens, enabling you to
determine the supported display resolutions and audio formats. The HDMI
source requests this information from the screen and determines the best
resolution or audio format. When using multiple screens (TVs or
projectors), the best resolution and audio format that is supported by all
connected screens is determined.
This may cause problems in some situations, for example, when one of the
connected sources or screens does not fully support EDID.
Use the EDID button to choose the following options:
xAUTO: automatically detects the highest possible common image
resolution and audio format that is supported by both screens. Sound
and image will be displayed on both screens.
xCOPY: only detects the resolution and audio format of the display
connected to "HDMI output 1". This prevents problems with playing,
for example, 3D or UltraHD (4k).

6. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
No (or poor) image and sound
If you experience poor or no picture after connecting the HDMI switcher,
please try to identify the problem by connecting the devices to your screen
(TV, monitor or projector) one by one. This allows you to determine
whether the problem is with the HDMI sources, the HDMI cables, the HDMI
switcher or the screen.
xMake sure the power adapter is connected and plugged in.
xFor the best picture and sound quality, only use High Speed HDMI®
certified cables.
xDo not use HDMI cables longer than those specified in the technical
data.
xCheck the HDMI cables and/or connectors for damage.
xBoth the HDMI source and your screen should fully support HDMI.
xCheck that your HDMI sources and screen support HDCP (High
Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) copy protection.
Incorrect 3D display
xPlease check whether the HDMI source is set to display 3D and/or it
is set to automatic.
xBoth the HDMI source and your HD screen should support the same
3D formats.
xPlease check that 3D is displayed correctly by connecting the HDMI
source directly to the HD display with an HDMI cable.

1. EINFÜHRUNG

Dieser aktive HDMI Splitter verbindet 2 Bildschirme (TV oder Projektor)
mit einer HDMI Quelle. Im Gegensatz zu passiven HDMI Splittern
geschieht dies ohne jeglichen Signal- oder Verschlüsselungsverlust und
unter Beibehaltung optimaler Bildqualität. Auch ideal für die Verwendung
kombiniert mit HDMI Verlängerungen (z.B. in einen anderen Raum). Der
Split 312 UHD™ unterstützt Ultra HD (4k), Full HD (1080p) und alle 3D
Formate und eignet sich somit für alle heutigen und zukünftigen Geräte.
Die Produkte Marmiteks werden mit großer Sorgfalt hergestellt und sind
von hoher Qualität. Lesen Sie diese Anleitung bitte sorgfältig durch und

3. VORZÜGE

xDas HDMI Kabel muss nicht mehr ausgetauscht werden, wenn Sie
Filme sehen oder Spiele auf einem anderen Bildschirm spielen

Bevor Sie beginnen:
xSchalten Sie alle Geräte (Fernseher und HDMI Quellen) bevor Sie
diese an den Split 312 UHD™ anschließen zunächst aus. Entfernen
Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, falls diese nicht ausgeschaltet
werden können.
xVerwenden Sie zum Erhalt einer optimalen Bild- und Tonqualität
ausschließlich High Speed HDMI® zertifizierte Kabel. Verwenden
Sie wenig Kraft, um die HDMI Kabel anzuschließen oder
loszukoppeln; diese könnten sonst beschädigen.
1. Schließen Sie die HDMI Quelle (wie Spielcomputer, Blu-Ray Player
und digitaler TV Decoder) mit einem HDMI Kabel an den "HDMI
Input“ Anschluss an.
2. Verbinden Sie die Bildschirme (Fernseher oder Projektoren) mit
einem HDMI Kabel an einen HDMI Output Anschluss an.
3. Schließen Sie den Bildschirm mit der höchsten Auflösung
(beispielsweise UltraHD oder Full HD) vorzugsweise an den “Output
1” an und den mit einer geringeren Anlösung an den “Otutput 2”.
4. Schließen Sie den Speisungsadapter an den “DC 5V“ an und
verbinden Sie diesen mit der Steckdose.
5. EDID-EINSTELLUNGEN
EDID bedeutet Extended Display Identification Data und wird für die
Kommunikation zwischen HDMI Quellen und Bildschirmen verwendet, um
die unterstützten Bildauflösungen und Audioformate zu bestimmen. Die
HDMI Quelle ruft diese Informationen vom Bildschirm ab und bestimmt die
beste Auflösung oder das beste Audioformat. Bei Verwendung mehrerer
Bildschirme (Fernseher oder Projektoren) wird bestimmt, welche die beste
Auflösung oder das beste Audioformat ist, .die von allen angeschlossenen
Bildschirmen unterstützt wird. Das kann bisweilen zu Problemen führen,
beispielsweise wenn eine der angeschlossenen Quellen oder Bildschirme
EDID nicht korrekt unterstützt.
Mithilfe der EDID-Tate können Sie folgende Einstellungen wählen:
xAUTO: Sucht automatisch die höchstmögliche, gemeinschaftliche
Bildauflösung und das Audioformat, das von beiden Bildschirmen
unterstützt wird. Auf beiden Bildschirmen wird Bild und Ton
wiedergegeben werden.
xCOPY: Sucht nur die Auflösung und das Audioformat des
Bildschirms, das an den “HDMI Output 1“ angeschlossen ist. Damit
begegnen Sie Abspielproblemen von zum Beispiel 3D oder UltraHD
(4k).

6. HÄUFIG GESTELLTE FRAGEN
Kein (oder schlechtes) Bild und Ton
Wenn Sie nach dem Anschließen des HDMI Switch kein, oder ein
schlechtes Bild empfangen, versuchen Sie dann die Geräte Stück für
Stück an Ihren Schirm anzuschließen (TV, Monitor oder Projektor), um zu
sehen, wo das Problem liegt. Auf diese Art können Sie ermitteln ob es an
den HDMI Quellen, den HDMI Kabeln, dem HDMI Switch oder dem Schirm
liegt.
xÜberprüfen Sie, ob der Speisungsadaptor angeschlossen ist und sich
in der Steckdose befindet.
xVerwenden Sie zum Erhalt einer optimalen Bild- und Tonqualität
ausschließlich High Speed HDMI® zertifizierte Kabel.
xVerwenden Sie keine HDMI Kabel, die länger sind als in den
technischen Daten aufgeführt.
xÜberprüfen Sie die HDMI Kabel und/oder Anschlüsse auf
Beschädigungen.
xSowohl die HDMI Quelle wie Ihr Bildschirm muss HDMI vollständig
unterstützen.
xPrüfen Sie, ob Ihre HDMI Quellen und Bildschirm das
Verschlüsselungssystem HDCP (Highbandwidth Digital Content
Protection) unterstützen.
Keine korrekte 3D Wiedergabe
xÜberprüfen Sie, ob die HDMI Quelle auf 3D Wiedergabe eingestellt
und/oder ob diese auf automatisch eingestellt ist.
xSowohl die HDMI Quelle wie Ihr HD Bildschirm müssen dieselben 3D
Daten unterstützen.
xÜberprüfen Sie, ob 3D korrekt wiedergegeben wird, indem Sie die
HDMI Quelle mit einem HDMI Kabel direkt an den HD Bildschirm
anschließen.

Ce répartiteur HDMI actif relie 2 écrans (téléviseur ou projecteur) avec une
seule source HDMI. Contrairement aux répartiteurs HDMI passifs cela peut
être réalisé sans aucune perte de signal ou de cryptage tout en conservant
une qualité d'image optimale. Le répartiteur est également idéal pour une
utilisation en combinaison avec une rallonge HDMI vers, par exemple, une
autre pièce. Le Split 312 UHD™ est compatible avec Ultra HD (4k), Full
HD (1080p) et tous les formats 3D et convient de ce fait pour tous vos
appareils existants et futurs.

3. AVANTAGES

4. INSTALLATION

Conseils d'installation :
xEteignez tous les appareils (téléviseur et sources HDMI) avant de les
connecter au Split 312 UHD™. S'il n'est pas possible de les éteindre,
débranchez la prise de courant.
xUtilisez uniquement des câbles certifiés HDMI® High Speed pour
obtenir la meilleure qualité d'image et de son. Ne forcez pas pour
connecter ou déconnecter les câbles HDMI, autrement cela pourrait
les endommager.
1. Connectez la source HDMI (telle que console de jeux, lecteur Blu-ray
et Décodeurs TV Numériques) sur le port HDMI avec l'inscription
“HDMI input” (“entrée HDMI”) avec un câble HDMI.
2. Connectez les écrans (téléviseurs ou projecteur) sur les ports HDMI
avec l'inscription “HDMI output” (“sortie HDMI”) avec un câble HDMI.
3. Connectez de préférence l'écran avec la plus haute résolution (par
exemple UltraHD ou Full HD) sur “output 1” (“Sortie 1”) et celui avec
une résolution plus faible sur “output 2” (“Sortie 2”).
4. Connectez l'adaptateur secteur sur “DC 5V” et branchez la fiche dans
la prise de courant.
5. PARAMETRAGES EDID
EDID signifie Extended Display Identification Data (Données Étendues
d'Identification d'Affichage) et il est utilisé pour la communication entre les
sources HDMI et les écrans afin de déterminer les résolutions d'images et
les formats audio pris en charge. La source HDMI demande ces
informations à l'écran et détermine la meilleure résolution ou le meilleur
format audio. Lorsqu'on utilise plusieurs écrans (téléviseurs ou projecteurs)
la meilleure résolution et le meilleur format audio, pris en charge par tous
les écrans connectés, sont déterminés. Dans certains cas cela peut
causer des problèmes, par exemple lorsque l'une des sources ou l'un des
écrans connectés ne supporte pas bien l'EDID.
Le bouton EDID vous permet d'effectuer le choix suivant.
xAUTO : détecte automatiquement la plus haute résolution d'image
commune et le format audio pris en charge par les deux écrans.
L'image et le son seront restitués sur les deux écrans.
xCOPY : détecte uniquement la résolution et le format audio de l'écran
qui est connecté sur “HDMI output 1” (Sortie “HDMI 1”). Cela vous
permet d'éviter les problèmes lors de la lecture d'images 3D ou
UltraHD (4k), par exemple.

6. FOIRE AUX QUESTIONS
Pas d'image (ou image de mauvaise qualité) ni de son
Si après avoir connecté le commutateur HDMI vous n'avez pas d'image ou
l'image est de mauvaise qualité, essayez de trouver la cause du problème
en connectant les appareils l'un après l'autre à votre écran (téléviseur,
moniteur ou projecteur). Vous pourrez ainsi déterminer si le problème
provient des sources HDMI, des câbles HDMI, du commutateur HDMI ou
de l'écran.
xAssurez-vous que l'adaptateur secteur soit connecté et branché dans
la prise de courant.
xUtilisez uniquement des câbles certifiés HDMI® High Speed pour
obtenir la meilleure qualité d'image et de son.
xN'utilisez pas de câbles HDMI qui soient plus longs que ce qui est
spécifié dans les caractéristiques techniques.
xAssurez-vous que les câbles HDMI et/ou connecteurs ne soient pas
endommagés.
xLa source HDMI ainsi que l'écran doivent supporter pleinement le
HDMI.
xAssurez-vous que vos sources HDMI et votre écran supportent la
protection contre la copie HDCP (Highbandwidth Digital Content
Protection).
Pas d'affichage 3D correct
xAssurez-vous que la source HDMI soit paramétrée pour restituer les
images 3D et/ou qu'elle soit en mode automatique.
xVotre source HDMI ainsi que votre écran HD doivent supporter les
mêmes formats 3D.
xAssurez-vous que l'image 3D soit restituée correctement en
connectant la source HDMI directement à l'écran HD avec un câble
HDMI.
