1 INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the Marmitek Split412/414! This active HDMI
splitter connects HD screens (e.g. HDTV and HD projector) with one HDMI source
(Blu-ray Player, HD set-top box, PlayStation3, Xbox 360, etc.). In contrast to passive
HDMI splitters, this is done without any signal or encryption loss and while retaining
optimum image quality. It is also ideal for use in combination with an HDMI extender
(e.g. to another room). The Split412/414 supports Full HD 1080p and 3D
(so is suitable for use with your own 3D equipment).
Marmitek products are manufactured with great care and are of the highest quality.

4 INSTALLATION
1. Connect the HDMI source to the Split412/414’s ‘input’ via an HDMI cable.
2. Connect the HDMI screens (HDTV or HD projector) to the Split412/414’s ‘output’
via HDMI cables.
3. Connect the power adapter to the Split412/414 and plug into the socket.
Tip for installation:
Only use High Speed HDMI® certified cables for the best picture and sound quality.
Do not use much force to connect or disconnect the HDMI cables otherwise they may
become damaged.

5 USE
The maximum resolution that can be used is entirely dependent on the HDMI source
and the connected HDMI screens. The resolution of the HDMI source must be set so
that both HDMI screens support it. Check the instructions for the connected HDMI
equipment to verify the maximum supported resolution and how this can be set. Once
all equipment is connected and set in the correct way, switch everything off and then
on again. Select the correct HDMI input on your HDMI screen and you should then see
the same signal on each screen, with the same resolution.
Tip for usage:
Ensure that the HDMI source and screens fully support the HDCP protocol in order to
prevent any problems.
6 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
No (or bad) image and sound
If you see a bad image or no image at all after connecting the HDMI splitter, try to
establish what the problem is by connecting your devices, one by one, to your screen
(TV, monitor or projector). This will allow you to establish whether the problem lies in
the HDMI sources, the HDMI cables, the HDMI splitter or the screen. HDMI equipment
that has not been tested and certified by ATC (Authorized Test Centers) may cause
image and sound problems.
• Check whether the Split412/414’s power adapter is connected and plugged in;
• Only use High Speed HDMI® certified cables for the best picture and sound
quality;
• Do not use HDMI cables that are longer than specified in the technical data;
• Check whether the HDMI cables and/or connectors are damaged;
• Both the HDMI source as well as your screen must fully support HDMI;
• Check whether your HDMI sources and screen support HDCP (High-bandwidth
Digital Content Protection).
No proper 3D picture
• Check whether the HDMI source has been set to 3D and/or that this is set to
automatic.
• Both the HDMI source as well as the HD screen must support the same 3D
formats.
• Check whether the proper 3D picture is reproduced by directly connecting the
HDMI source to the screen with an HDMI cable.

1 EINFÜHRUNG
Herzlichen Glückwunsch mit dem Erwerb des Marmitek Split412/414.! Dieser aktive
HDMI Splitter verbindet HD Schirme (z.B. HDTV und HD Projektor) mit einer HDMI
Quelle (Blu-Ray Player, HD Settop Box, PlayStation3, Xbox 360 usw.). Im Gegensatz zu
passiven HDMI Splittern geschieht dies ohne jeglichen Signal- oder
Verschlüsselungsverlust und unter Beibehaltung optimaler Bildqualität. Auch ideal für
die Verwendung mit einer HDMI Verlängerung (z.B. in einen anderen Raum). Der
Split412/414 unterstützt Full HD 1080p und 3D (ist also für Verwendung mit Ihren
eigenen 3D Geräten geeignet).

4 INSTALLATION
1. Schließen Sie die HDMI Quelle über ein HDMI Kabel an den “Input“ des
Split412/414 an.
2. Schließen Sie die HDMI Schirme (HDTV oder HD Projektor) über HDMI Kabel an
den “Output” des Split412/414 an.
3. Schließen Sie den Speisungsadapter an den Split412/414 an und verbinden Sie
diesen mit der Steckdose.
Tipps zur Installation:
Verwenden Sie zum Erhalt einer optimalen Bild- und Tonqualität ausschließlich High
Speed HDMI® zertifizierte Kabel. Verwenden Sie wenig Kraft, um die HDMI Kabel
anzuschließen oder loszukoppeln; diese könnten sonst Schäden erleiden.

5 ANWENDUNG
Wie hoch die maximale Auflösung ist, hängt vollkommen von der HDMI Quelle und
den angeschlossenen HDMI Schirmen ab. Die Auflösung der HDMI Quelle muss so
eingestellt werden, dass beide HDMI Schirme diese Auflösung unterstützen. Schauen
Sie in der Gebrauchsanleitung der angeschlossenen HDMI Apparatur, welche
Auflösung maximal unterstützt wird und wie diese eingestellt werden kann. Schalten
Sie, wenn alles richtig angeschlossen und eingestellt ist, sämtliche Apparatur aus und
wieder an. Wählen Sie den richtigen HDMI Eingang auf Ihrem HDMI Schirm und Sie
werden auf beiden Schirmen das gleiche Signal mit der gleichen Auflösung sehen.
Tipps zur Verwendung:
Um Problemen vorzubeugen achten Sie bitte darauf, dass die HDMI Quelle und
Schirme das HDCP Protokoll vollständig unterstützen.
6 HÄUFIG GESTELLTE FRAGEN
Kein (oder schlechtes) Bild und Ton
Wenn Sie nach dem Anschließen des HDMI Splitters kein, oder ein schlechtes Bild
empfangen, versuchen Sie dann die Geräte Stück für Stück an Ihren Schirm
anzuschließen (TV, Monitor oder Projektor), um zu sehen, wo das Problem liegt. Auf
diese Art können Sie ermitteln ob es an den HDMI Quellen, den HDMI Kabeln, dem
HDMI Splitter oder dem Schirm liegt. Nicht von ATC (Authorized Test Centers)
getestete und zertifizierte HDMI Geräte können Bild- und Tonprobleme verursachen.
• Prüfen Sie, ob der Speisungsadapter des Split412/414 angeschlossen und mit der
Steckdose verbunden ist.
• Verwenden Sie zum Erhalt einer optimalen Bild- und Tonqualität ausschließlich
High Speed HDMI® zertifizierte Kabel.
• Verwenden Sie keine HDMI Kabel, die länger sind als in den technischen Daten
aufgeführt.
• Überprüfen Sie die HDMI Kabel und/oder Anschlüsse auf Beschädigungen.

Keine korrekte 3D Wiedergabe
• Überprüfen Sie, ob die HDMI Quelle auf 3D Wiedergabe und/oder auf
automatisch eingestellt ist.
• Sowohl die HDMI Quelle wie Ihr HD Bildschirm müssen dieselben 3D Auflösungen
unterstützen.
• Überprüfen Sie, ob 3D korrekt wiedergegeben wird, indem Sie die HDMI Quelle
mit einem HDMI Kabel direkt an den HD Bildschirm anschließen.

1 INTRODUCTION
Merci d’avoir acheté Split412/414 de Marmitek ! Ce répartiteur HDMI actif relie écrans
HD (par exemple télévision et projecteur HD) avec une seule source HDMI (lecteur
Bluray, settop box HD, PlayStation3, Xbox 360 etc.). Contrairement aux répartiteurs
HDMI passifs ceci est fait sans aucune perte de signal ou de chiffrement et avec le
maintien d’une qualité de l’image optimale. Le répartiteur peut aussi être utilisé
idéalement en combinaison avec une rallonge HDMI (par exemple vers une autre
pièce). Le Split412/414 soutient Full HD 1080p et 3D (et de ce fait il est compatible
avec vos appareils 3D).

1. Raccordez la source HDMI à l’entrée du Split412/414 par un câble HDMI.

par les câbles HDMI.
3. Raccordez l’adaptateur d’alimentation au Split412/414 et branchez la prise.
Tuyau pour l’installation :
Utilisez uniquement des câbles certifiés High Speed HDMI® pour la meilleure qualité

5 UTILISATION
La résolution maximale pouvant être utilisée dépend entièrement de la source HDMI et des
écrans HDMI raccordés. La résolution de la source HDMI doit être réglée de telle façon que
les deux écrans HDMI soutiennent cette résolution. Vérifiez dans le mode d’emploi des
appareils HDMI raccordés quelle est la résolution maximale et comment celle-ci peut être
réglée. Lorsque tous les appareils sont raccordés et réglés correctement, débranchez tous

6 FOIRE AUX QUESTIONS
Son ou image inexistants (ou mauvais)
Si après avoir raccordé le répartiteur HDMI l’image est mauvaise ou inexistante,
essayez de tracer le problème en raccordant les appareils un par un à votre écran
(télévision, moniteur ou projecteur). Ainsi vous pouvez déterminer si le problème est
causé par les sources HDMI, les câbles HDMI, le répartiteur HDMI ou l’écran. Les
appareils HDMI n’ayant pas été soumis à un test et certifiés par ATC (Authorized Test
Centers) peuvent causer des problèmes de son ou d’image.
•
Contrôlez que l’adaptateur d’alimentation de Split412/414 soit raccordé et branché.
• Utilisez uniquement des câbles certifiés High Speed HDMI® pour la meilleure
qualité de l'image et du son.
• N’utilisez pas de câbles HDMI plus longs qu’indiqué dans les caractéristiques
techniques
• Contrôlez que les câbles et/ou connecteurs HDMI ne soient pas abîmés.
• La source HDMI ainsi que votre écran doivent entièrement soutenir HDMI
• Contrôlez que vos sources et votre écran HDMI soutiennent HDCP (High-
bandwidth Digital Content Protection).
Pas d'image (ou image flou) 3D
• Vérifiez que la source HDMI a été réglée pour pouvoir reproduire les images 3D
et/ou que ce réglage est mis en automatique
• Il est indispensable que la source HDMI ainsi que l'écran HD soutiennent les
mêmes formats 3D.
• Vérifiez que l'image 3D est reproduite correctement en raccordant la source HDMI
directement à l'écran HDMI avec un câble HDMI.
