FLATLINE FUNCTIONS
1 RCA audio-output
4 Aux level Control
7Level controls
Connect high quality RCA connectors from these outputs to the inputs of your amplifiers. While
we won’t get into the discussion as to whether plutonium cables sound better than un-obtainium
cables but we will tell you that well-constructed cables are less problematic in rugged
environments like your car.Connect your amplifier correctly which means plus to plus and
minus to minus, left-CH to left-CH and right-CH to right-CH, According to the indication on
the cover.
Adjust the output level of each channel for Aux-In device. These knobs allow you to set different
output levels for each channel when you switch the input from main to Aux-input.
You can match your aftermarket amplifiers input level with the factory-installed source unit or
amplifier level by tuning these knobs.
2AUX-Input
Connect with the remote component. It receives remote control signals and aux-in audio signals
from the remote device.
3Summing & grounding switch
Remove the cover, you can place the switch on or off as you like by consulting the instructions on
the cover. Under the cover are connection switches that allow the Main outputs of the FLATLINE
to receive signals from the inputs of Channel pairs B, C, and/or D. These switches allow you to
select what input signals will be summed into the main output. When one of the switches are in the
Summed position, the corresponding red indicator light on the front of the FLATLINE will be
illuminated.
The grounding switch is for setting different ground modes to avoid ground loop noise. If you have
ground noise trouble, you may change the setting to solve this problem. The default value is set to
200 Ohm.
5Power indicator
Indicator light for the power. It will be lit when FLATLINE is on.
6 Summing indicator
Summing indicator light. These indicator LED’s let you know which channels are being summed
into the main inputs.

FLATLINE can be switched on and off automatically with the source unit. Remote-In should be
connected to the source units Remote-Out terminal and will power on the FLATLINE when the
source unit is active. When the source unit does not have an active remote out signal the
FLATLINE can start working automatically when there is a signal on channel A input (RCA signal
must have 2 volt minimum for turn on). The FLATLINE will also automatically turn off if there
is no signal for more than 14 seconds.
Remote out signal will activate when FLATLINE is on. You can use this signal to turn on/off after
the amplifier installed by connecting this signal to amplifier’s remote in terminal.
The +12V and Ground terminal is the main power supply for the FLATLINE, A 10A inline fuse
must be installed near the battery “+” terminal of 20CM, the ground terminal should be connected
to a massive grounding point of car chassis.
9 Power and remote connector
FLATLINE is designed to accept an amplified, speaker-level signal from a factory source unit
or amplifier. You will want to refer to a factory service manual or wiring-harness schematic to
determine which wires are the speaker wires for your system. If you are unsure which wires
are the speaker wires, it is recommended you look at the color of the speaker wire connected
to the speakers and follow them back to the factory source or amplifier. Connect the speaker
wires to the Speaker-Level Inputs on your FLATLINE.
The FLATLINE has an auto-sensing turn function, it will automatically start working when
the signal is available on channel-A input. Please connect input to channel-A if you want to
activate this function.
