1.2 Intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse
The MattressJack is intended for use as a device to raise a mattress over a stable and smooth-surfaced
foundation. The MattressJack is suitable for indoor use only.
The MattressJack is not intended to be used:
• Outside, or on any unstable surface.
• Asatoy,snowtoy,trampoline,otationdevice,orlife-savingdevice.
The MattressJack shall only be used in accordance with the instructions described in this manual. Any use
other than that described here is regarded as unintended use.
The MattressJack is not intended for use by children under the age of 12.
1.3 Retaining instructions
Followallinstructions.Thiswillavoidre,entrapment,suocation,electricshocksorotherhazardsthat
may result in damage to property and/or severe injuries. Keep all safety information and instructions for
future reference and pass them on to subsequent users of the product. The manufacturer is not liable
for cases of material damage or personal injury caused by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the

• The MattressJack should not be used by children
younger than 12 years. The MattressJack is not a
toy.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the MattressJack.
• Do not use the MattressJack on waterbeds,
adjustable platform beds, hospital-style beds or
inatablebeds.
• NeverlltheMattressJackwithwater.
• Only use the MattressJack indoors. Never use
outdoors.
• Do not use the MattressJack in water. Keep the
MattressJack away from moisture.
• Do not use the MattressJack when there is a
person or a pet on the mattress.
• Do not place any objects on the MattressJack
whenitisdeatedorpartiallyinatedor
deated.Neversit,stand,walkorjumpon
the MattressJack when either partially or fully
inated.
• Do not operate the MattressJack in the presence
of children or pets. Pets and children should
be carefully supervised when operating the
MattressJack. Keep pets and children away the
the MatressJack whenever the MattressJack
isinatedoreitherraisingorloweringthe
mattress.
• Do not use the MattressJack if the air bladder or
the air pump has been exposed to water.
• Do not install or use a damaged MattressJack.
• The MattressJack may only be installed and
used together with the original MattressJack
accessories and components.
• Make sure to place all parts correctly and
according to the instructions. Failure to do
somayaecttheproperfunctioningofthe
MattressJack.
• Unauthorized alterations to the MattressJack
andtechnicalmodicationsarenotpermitted.
• Do not install the MattressJack over uneven
or sharp surfaces that could puncture the air
bladder.
• Do not install the MattressJack where the air
bladder or air hose can be exposed to sharp
edges or surfaces.
• Make sure there is at least 12 inches (30cm)
of free space above the entire mattress when
installing the MattressJack.
• Make sure there is at least 6 inches (15cm) of
free space between a wall or bed frame when
installing the MattressJack.
• Make sure not to damage the MattressJack
when placing any objects under the bed or
when vacuuming or cleaning under the bed.
• DonotinatetheMattressJackwithanything
else besides bedding and pillows on the
mattress.
• TheMattressJackshallonlybeinatedwith
the original MattressJack air pump. Do not use
another air pump, as this may cause injuries or
property damage.
• The MattressJack shall be connected to a
permanent and grounded AC wall socket.
• Theinationanddeationstagesofthe
MattressJack shall be supervised to ensure safe
operation. Immediately pause operation if an
unsafe situation is suspected or realized.
• If the air inlet becomes obstructed by any
object or debris, the MattressJack air pump will
fail to operate properly and there is a risk of
overheating. As a built-in safety feature, the air
pumpwillsafelyandautomaticallyshut-oif
the internal temperature nears or exceeds an
overheated condition. It will remain inoperable
until the air pump returns to a safe operating
temperature. Avoid repeated overheating cycles
as they will shorten the lifespan of the air pump.
• Donotuseanyammablesubstances
(like aerosol tire repair products) on the
MattressJack. The MattressJack may ignite
or explode. Only use the provided glue and
patches to repair a damaged air bladder.
• Onlyqualied,certiedpersonnelmayrepairor
disassemble the MattressJack. Disconnect the
MattressJack from the power supply when you
repair or disassemble the appliance.
• Use only original MattressJack replacement
parts. The use of other parts will result in
voiding the warranty and could lead to injuries.
• Recycle the materials with a recycling symbol.
Put the packaging in applicable containers to
recycle it. Help protect the environment and
human health and to recycle waste of electrical
and electronic appliances. Do not discard the
MattressJack with the household waste. Return
the product to your local recycling facility or
contactyourmunicipaloce.

2. Installation of the MattressJack
1. Carefully remove the mattress ①from the
foundation ②. Secure the mattress ①in a safe
location.
CAUTION! Always move a mattress
with the assistance of one or more
additional adults. Ensure that people,
pets, furniture, children and infants,
and wall surfaces are not subject to
potential injury or harm if the mattress
unintentionally falls over or shifts
position.
2. Make sure the surface of the mattress
foundation is clean and in good repair.
3. If the foundation is an open slat ②or wire
frame ③foundation, then place one (or
more) panels of corrugated plastic sheeting,
corrugated cardboard, nished plywood, or
similar material ①to establish a foundation
surface free of gaps and open voids.

4. Unfold the air bladder ①smoothly and evenly
over the foundation ②surface. Center the air
bladder ①symmetrically on the foundation ②
surface.
5. Locate the air valve at the head of the bed.
NOTICE Make sure the “THIS SIDE UP”
label ③faces upwards. Make sure the
air inlet is at the head of the bed.
6. Set the switch ①on the pump base ②to the
size of your bed: King or Queen.

7. Choose one of the following options:
i. Attach the hand controller ①to the air
pump ②, or
ii. Attach the magnet-activated reed switch ③
to the air pump ②.
NOTICE Make sure to tighten the
connector into the hub.
NOTICE Make sure that the air pump is
NOT connected to AC Power.
8. HAND CONTROLLER: Locate the Hand
Controller ②in any convenient location.
9. REED SWITCH: Choose a discrete mounting
location that enables the Magnet-activated
Reed Switch ①to be hidden from view. Ensure
that the selected location enables placement
of the Magnet Control Fob 4 cm (1.5 in) or
less from the Magnet-activated Reed Switch
①.Removethewhitelmbackingfrom
the adhesive foam surface on the Magnet-
activated Reed Switch ①. Firmly press to
secure the Magnet-activated Reed Switch ①
in the desired location.
NOTICE The magnet-activated reed
switch installs easily behind or beneath
any wooden, plastic or laminated
surfaces. Do not install behind any
iron, steel or nickel surfaces as this will
interruptthemagneticeld.

11. Place the air pump ①in the desired
location. Make sure that the air inlet ②
of the air pump is clear from obstructions.
Carefully guide the air hose ③to valve
ttingoftheairbladderattheheadofthe
bed.
NOTICE Do not kink or crush the air
hose.
10. Attach and secure the air hose ①to the air
pump ②.

12. Attach and secure the air hose ①to the air

Thetshouldbesnug.Oncefully
inserted, gently tighten the screw collar
withyourngers.Donotover-tighten.
Do not use tools. Do not use tape or
glue.
13. Make sure the air bladder is symmetrically
positioned in the center of the foundation.
14. Route the air hose and all cords so that
they are not subject to crushing, kinking,
or pinching. Locate all components so that
they do not create a tripping hazard.
15. Carefully return the mattress ①back onto
the foundation ②.
CAUTION! Always carry out lifting with
more than one person.

16. Put the power cord ①of the air pump
into an AC wall power socket ②.
17. Make sure that there are no nearby objects,
such as bedside tables, electric cords,
lamps,lightxtures,orotherbedside
accessories that may potentially interfere
with the mattress as it becomes elevated
by the MattressJack.

4. Maintenance

NOTICE
Cleantheairltermediaevery3months.
1. Remove the power cord of the air pump from the AC wall socket.
2. Gently remove the air lter media ①from the air pump ②withyourngers.
3. Wash the air lter media with a mild soap solution and cool water.
4. Rinse the air lter media and pat with a dry towel.
5. Allow the air lter media to dry for 24 hours at room temperature.
6. Reinsert the air lter mediawithyourngersonceitiscompletelydry.

5. Cleaning
6. Disposal
The MattressJack shall not be treated as unsorted municipal waste, but shall be collected separately.
Dispose of the product at a collection point for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
By disposing of the product in the correct way, you help prevent possible hazards to the environment and
public health that could otherwise be caused by the incorrect treatment of waste equipment. The recycling
of materials contributes to the conservation of natural resources.
The packaging is made of environmentally friendly materials that may be disposed of through your local
recycling facilities.
CAUTION
• Do not hold the MattressJack or any of its electric components underwater.
• Do not use wipes that contain chemicals to clean the MattressJack. These could damage the material or
surface.
1. Remove the power cord of the air pump from the AC wall socket.
2. Wipetheentiresurfaceoftheairbladderwithamicroberclothmoistenedwithlukewarmwaterand,if
needed, a mild soap solution.
3. Wipe the MattressJack completely dry with a soft, clean, and dry cloth.
4. Reconnect the MattressJack to the power socket.

8. Technical data
9. Warranty
This warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the Warranty
Period. During the Warranty Period, MattressJack will repair or replace, at no charge, the product or parts
of the product that prove defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and
conditions.
The warranty period is one year from the date of purchase. To obtain warranty service, you must
rstcontactMattressJacktodeterminetheproblemandthesolutionthatisappropriateforyou.This
warranty does not cover: conditions, malfunctions or damage not resulting from defects in material or
workmanship.
Ergonomic Lifting Solutions, LLC warrants that the MattressJack Mattress Lifting System is free of defects
in materials and workmanship and will, at its option, repair or replace any defective MattressJack system
that is returned to it. This warranty runs for one year from the original date of purchase, and is valid only in
accordance with the conditions set forth below:
1. Normal wear and tear is not covered by this warranty. This warranty applies to consumer use only,
and is void when the product is used in a commercial or institutional setting.
2. This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser and is not transferable. In addition,
proof of purchase must be demonstrated. This warranty is void if the product has been subject to
accident,misuse,abuse,impropermaintenanceorrepair,orunauthorizedmodication.
3. This limited warranty is the only express warranty provided by Ergonomic Lifting Solutions, LLC. Any
impliedwarranties(includingbutnotlimitedtoanyimpliedwarrantiesofmerchantabilityortness
for a particular purpose) are disclaimed, except as required by law in such legal jurisdictions that
require such implied warranties to apply.
4. Repair or replacement of the product (or, if repair or replacement is not feasible, a refund of the
purchase price) is the exclusive remedy of the consumer under this warranty. Ergonomic Lifting
Solutions LLC shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages for breach of this
warranty or any implied warranty on this product. Some legal jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion
or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not
apply to you.
5. Thiswarrantygivesyouspeciclegalrights,andyoumayalsohaveotherrightswhichvarybylegal
jurisdiction.
Procedure for Warranty Repairs or Replacement
If warranty service is necessary, simply call 1-855-MAT-JACK (1-855-628-5225) and a customer service
representative will explain how to get your MattressJack system repaired or replaced.
