Creating an Ethernet Port
Configuring Ethernet Board
This document is the Maxatec™ rocedure to creating the Ethernet ort for use with the
MT150/200 rinter. Please read through these instructions from start to finish following the
instructions given to fully setu the Ethernet ort.

Setu Procedure
Introduction:
This document has been created to hel you create and setu Ethernet communications
to the Maxatec MT-150/MT-200 rinters. Please follow the instructions below to com lete
the setu rocess.
Please note that although this document contains screen images from a Windows XP
system, the same rocedure a lies to Windows 2000/Vista/Win7.
Adding the rinter:
Install the driver:
Driver and utilities can be found on our FTP site:
ft ://ft .maxatec-euro e.com/Public/Maxatec/Printers/
Download rinter driver Thermal Printer 3.x.x.
Install Printer Driver
Select TCP/IP from Printer Port dro down list and ty e in rinter IP address

Then reboot your PC
Select the Setti gs o tion from within the Start me u, and then select the
Pri ters/Faxes o tion as shown in the image below:

After selecting the rinter to be connected, click on the right hand mouse
button, from the menu that a ears select the properties o tion.
Select the Ports tab from within the Pro erties window and click on configure ort.
Make sure that settings are; Protocol RAW and ort number 9100.

Select the ort of the installed rinter, and then select the OK o tion
Configuring rinter IP Address:
There are two versions of Ethernet board. De ends of what chi set is on the board, we will use
different software for changing IP address.
Latest version has ARM chi set, and we will use LKEtherco fig_v110 to configure IP address,
for ATMEL chi set we will use TCPIPCFG100v110.
Please see chi set locations on the board below:

Configuring LKEtherconfig_v110
Click on search button and utility will find the printer MAC address, port number
and I address.
Make your own configuration and press save to store settings to the printer.
Configuring TCPIPCFG100v110.
The same, click on search button and utility will find the printer. Set your own I
address and click on save button to store data to the printer.
Click on Exit button to properly close session.
