Use of Microsoft®WHQL-certified components makes
the SR 1202 storage system particularly easy to install.
Depending on the options selected, it is either ideally
suited as a primary storage for database applications or
as a secondary storage for file and directory services. The
system is especially recommended for use in expanding
small and medium-sized businesses as well as in individ-
ual departments of large companies. The OS-independent,
web-based StorView®administration tool makes SR 1202 a
favourite for use in heterogeneous environments.

The 4 Gbit FC storage system guarantees high availability
through employing redundant components such as power
supplies, fans and controllers. By combining extremely
high-performance SAS hard disks with low-cost SATA
disks, the system supports multi-level data management
using primary and secondary media.
Storage systems also must keep step with a company’s
development. That is why their expansion is a recurring
theme. To avoid any partial downtime, the fibre-channel
storage system can remain fully operational while being
scaled, thanks to dynamic online RAID and online LUN
expansions. Also, the system’s memory can be upgraded
