ELECTRICAL SAFETY:
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric
shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do NOT modify the
plug in any way.

cordsshouldbeusedandwerecommendthattheybelistedbyUnderwritersLaboratories(U.L.).Ifthe
extensioncordistobeusedoutside,itmustbesuitableforoutdooruse.Anycordmarkedforoutdoor
usecanalsobeusedforindooruse.Theletters“W”or“WA”onthecordjacketindicatethatthecord
issuitableforoutdooruse.
• Anextensioncordmusthaveadequatewiresize(AWGorAmericanWireGauge)forsafetyaswellas
topreventlossofpowerandoverheating.Thesmallerthegaugenumberofthewire,thegreaterthe
capacityofthecable;thatis,16gaugehasmorecapacitythan18gauge.Whenusingmorethan1
extensiontomakeupthetotallength,besureeachextensioncontainsatleasttheminimumwiresize.

The MaxxDrySD™ is completely silent, No Noise and generates NoWind!Your MaxxDrySD™ dries by
naturalthermalconvectiontechnology;therearenofansandnomovingpartsandthereforeitwillnotblow
hotairormakenoise.TheMaxxDrySD™heatstoamoderatetemperatureinabout10minutes.Itdoesnot
gethot,butwarmstheairwhichwillnaturallyriseupthroughthedryingtubesandintoyourwetbootsor
shoes.Anairparcelwillrisenaturallyiftheairwithintheparceliswarmerthanthesurroundingair(likea
hotairballoon).Thecooldampairpresentinsidethewetbootor
shoeisthenforceddownandoutwhenwarmairrisesandpushes
thecooldampairoutoftheway.Asthewarmairnaturallycools
andbecomesdilutedwhilemixingwiththesurroundingair,itloses
someofitsbuoyancy(itsabilitytorise)andanaturalmovement
of air begins to dry your wet, damp boots or shoes evenly and
withoutdamage.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. AssembletheMaxxDrySD™basebyslidingthefronthalfintothechannelsontheback.Makesure
itgentlymovesintoplace.
2. Afxthetwodryingtubestothebaseunittubes.
3. Slipthetwobootanvilsontothetwodryingtubes,facingforwardtowardthefrontoftheunit.
4. Carefullyslidefootwearupsidedownontodryingtubes,beingcarefulnottorestrictairowatthe
bottombylooseningthetongueandlacesbetweenthefootwearanddryingtubes.
5. PlugtheMaxxDrySD™intoanystandardhousehold110Volt60Hzelectricaloutlet.
6. Makesurethetoeofthebootorshoeishigherthantheheelsothefootwearwilldrythoroughly.
7. KeeptheairventsatthebackoftheMaxxDrySD™freeofobstructionorthiswillcutoffthenatural
circulationofair.
*NOTE! There must be 6 inches of clearance between the top of the footwear and the base
of the dryer. This allows the natural circulation of air to dry footwear properly. If you cannot
obtain the 6 inches of clearance because you’re drying longer boots, you can purchase
additional drying tubes to allow drying taller boots.
8. Donotplacefootwearorgearondryingtubeswithoutanvils.Theanvilsareengineeredtohelpcirculate
warmairthroughfootwearformaximumefciency.
9. DonotplacetheMaxxDrySD™closetoasecondaryheatsourcesuchasareplaceorwoodburning
stove,oroveroorvents.
10. Pleasedonotdryanykindofgloveswithoutusingthegloveadaptor.Failuretodosowillharmthedryer.
11. DryingSkiBootsisnotrecommended.
12. Nevertotallyblockthedryingtube.Alwaysleaveroomaroundthegarmentbeingdriedforairtoescape.
