I. Usage Notice
Thank you for choosing and using NANBEI’s biomedical products. For your safe and convenient use and
reasonable maintenance of this product, please read this manual carefully before using, and keep it in an
adequate place to refer it as necessary. The device operator can copy some sections of this operation manual,
but only for internal use, for example, to guide the user on how to handle an emergency. The chapters are
clearly marked in this manual's catalog. NANBEI is not responsible or liable for any damage to the device
caused by the user's failure to use the device in accordance with the instructions stated in the manual or in
accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. Due to the rapid improvement of products, the functions
described in this manual may differ from the functions of the products you purchased. Please refer to the actual
functions.

▶Failure to use the equipment in accordance with the methods specified in this manual may result in damage
to the equipment.

adverse consequences.
▶Must inspect and maintain the device at regular intervals.

the diagram. Please refer to the final product.

II. Safety Warning
▶For the first time to use this device, users must understand the meaning of the following warning labels very
carefully. Items and procedures are described so that you can use this unit correctly and safely. If the
precautions advised are followed, this will prevent possible injuries to the user and any other persons.

III. Precautions for Use
● Before placing the items in the ultra-low temperature freezer, please confirm whether the temperature inside
the device has reached the set temperature, and then put the items in batches. Do not put more than 1/3 of the
inner volume of the item each time, in case the temperature rises too much.
● Ultra-low temperature freezer temperature display value shows the temperature around temperature sensors.
Sometimes there is certain difference between the display temperature and actual temperature in the center of
the freezer, but it will gradually close to the real temperature.
● Clean the freezer with the diluted neutral detergent. Do not use brushes, acid, gasoline, soap powder, polish
or hot water to clean the ultra-low temperature freezer, as the above materials may damage the painted
surface and plastic rubber parts. Be extremely careful not to use volatile solvents such as gasoline to wipe
plastic rubber parts.
● After running for a period of time in the ultra-low temperature freezer, a layer of frost will form on the inner
wall of the device and the inner door. If the frost layer is too thick, it will affect the insulation effect of the device
and increase the power consumption. Therefore, when the frost layer reaches about 5 mm, the defrosting
shovel is applied for defrosting.
● Before defrosting, take out the items in the device and put them in an environment suitable for their storage,
so as not to raise the temperature inside the device and damage the items.
● The inner wall of the ultra-low temperature freezer is EVA material. Do not use sharp objects such as knives,
ice chisels or screwdrivers to remove the frost on the inner wall. Be careful not to scratch the inner wall during
defrosting, otherwise it will cause the freezer malfunction.
● The power should be cut off while the freezer does not use for a long time.
IV. Product Diagram and Overview

Before using the freezer for the first time, the moisture in the device should be cleaned, especially the water on
the inner door and inner door cover to prevent the door from freezing when the temperature is low, which
makes the door difficult to open!
Any product may be damage. When you store more important items, be sure to take appropriate temperature
monitoring method. In order to further monitor the operation status of Meiling series scientific research and
medical freezers, our company has developed more optional functions such as the RS485 remote monitoring,
wireless monitoring, and the short message alarm function and etc..
In order to achieve rapid cooling and stable storage of the sample, please use the cold storage block attached
to the product. After removing the cold storage block, the product can still work normally, but the product
performance will be reduced.
Note: The inner cover of the ultra-low temperature freezer can be effectively insulated. When
using the ultra-low temperature freezer, please cover the inner cover of the device!
The ultra-low temperature freezer is suitable for low temperature test of special materials, frozen red blood
cells, white blood cells, skin, bones, bacteria, biological products, ocean products, electronic devices, etc.,
suitable for hospitals, epidemic prevention stations, blood banks, universities, bio-pharmaceuticals, genetic
engineering, chemical industry, military enterprises, research institutes, enterprises, etc.. The storage
temperature in the cabinet can be adjusted through the control buttons on the display, which is convenient to
use and reliable in performance.
V. Preparation before Use
▶Please read this manual carefully for the first time using!

▶Ultra-low temperature freezer: fasten the door lock and move it lightly.
▶Remove all packaging components (including protective foam inside the cabinet).
▶Please check the attachments in the device according to packing list.
▶The product should be cleaned before use.
▶Environmental requirements:
Indoor use
● The installing surface must be fixed, level, non- flammable and capable of withstanding the weight of the
freezer when it is in operation.
● It should be placed away from direct sunlight and away from heat sources, and the ambient temperature
should not be higher than 32℃.
● Leave more than 30cm space around for easy ventilation and heat dissipation.
● Do not place freezer in a too cold environment.
● Do not place freezer in heavy moisture or easy-splashing water places.
● No strong electromagnetic interference around which will affect the normal operation of the control system,
and even will directly damage the system.
Normal working conditions:
a. Ambient temperature: 10 ° C ~ 32 ° C
b. Relative humidity: ≤ 80%
c. No strong vibration and no corrosive gas around.
d. No direct sunlight or any other cooling or heating sources.
e. Keep away from factors that may cause damage or interference to the device.
Safety caution
● Power supply voltage (power adapter): The device is equipped with a wide- voltage power adapter as
standard. It uses 220V/50HZ AC power supply or 110V/50Hz AC power supply. When the voltage
compensation function is not selected, if the voltage is lower than 100V or higher than 240V you need to install
a suitable automatic voltage regulator for use;
● Power supply voltage (host): 24v DC power.
● Do not lengthen the length of the power cord. If it is really necessary to lengthen, be sure to use a copper
conductor of 2.5mm2 or thicker. The cross- sectional area of the copper conductor in the wall connected to the
power socket must be above 4mm2.
☞The freezer working system: the chiller freezer will never stop under the normal running state.
VI. Usage Instructions

● Current temperature: indicates the temperature inside the device
● Target temperature: indicates the setting position
● Hot end temperature: indicates the hot end temperature of the refrigeration unit
● Ambient temperature: indicates the temperature of the environment in which the device is located
● Voltage: indicates the current working voltage
● Power: indicates the current working power
● Current: indicates the current operating current
2. First Initial Starting
i. Turn on the power switch and the main screen icon will appear on the display after power up. At this time, the
current temperature displayed in the temperature display area is the temperature inside the device, the target
temperature is the set temperature, and the default factory temperature is -80 °C.
ii. Click the unlock button and the unlock password will appear on the screen. The initial password is 000000.
iii. Click the switch button to operate the device.
3. Function Setting
Regular display: In normal use, the current temperature is displayed as the temperature of the aluminum block
inside the device, the target temperature is displayed as the set temperature, and a blue box around the
display indicates that the device is running.
i. Temperature setting function: In the normal state, first enter the unlock password to unlock, then click the
setting button to enter the temperature setting, the main display window displays the set temperature, click +20
or +10 or +5 to increase the temperature, each time you increase 20 degrees or 10 Degree or 5 degrees, press
-20 or -10 or -5 to lower the temperature setting. Or click the warming or cooling button and click once to
change the temperature by 1 degree. The system setting temperature range is -10 ° C ~ -80 ° C.
ii. Password setting: In the setting state, click the password area to set the password. The initial password is

000000. After inputting, you can change the password. Click the “ON” or “OFF” next to the password lock to
enable or disable the password lock.
iii. Alarm function: In the power-on state, the device will alarm when there is any of the following conditions,
there will be a beeping alarm: 1 the ambient temperature is higher than 40 ° C or lower than 0 ° C; 2 hot end
temperature is higher than 55 ° C; 3 the current temperature differs from the target temperature by more than
5 °C; At this point, you can press the mute button to eliminate, please pay attention to the alarm information
and deal with it in time.
iv. Exit the setup status: Click the Back button in the setting state to return to the main page and exit the setting
state.
v. After the temperature setting is completed, click the power button to run.
Remark: In the locked state, after entering the password input interface without losing the password or the
password input error returns to the main page, the left curve number will be hidden; when the unlock input
correct password is entered, the left curve number will be displayed.
The alarm code information is as follows:
Do not put the items in the ultra-low temperature freezer that has just been connected to the power
supply, let the empty box run for a while (about 5 hours), then store the frozen items in the device.
Each item cannot exceed 1/3 of the device capacity. After reaching the set temperature and running
for 5 hours, put another 1/3 of the device capacity items for storage.
Try not to open the door during the cooling process, otherwise it will cause the temperature to rise.
If there is a device failure or power failure, the temperature in the low temperature device will rise. If
it cannot be repaired in a short time, please take out the stored items and transfer them to other
places that meet the temperature requirements of the stored items to avoid damage.
Due to the cooling inertia, the display temperature and the set temperature may be different when
the product reaches the temperature set value (especially when the temperature setting is low),
which is normal.
Do not set the temperature frequently in a short time, otherwise the inertia of hot and cold may be
too large, and may not achieve your desired adjustment effect.

VII. Defrosting, Unused and Maintenance
1. Defrost
▶After working for a period of time in the ultra-low temperature freezer, the inner surface will be frosted, which
will affect the cooling effect and increase the power consumption. When the frost layer is too thick, it should be
defrosted;
▶Defrost should first unplug the power plug, cut off the power supply, put on special protective gloves, open
the door, and transfer the contents in the device; then use the defrosting shovel to gently remove the surface
frost, which can also let the temperature inside the device rise naturally, melting the frost, then dry the
defrosting water with a dry cloth.
▶After the defrosting is completed, the power can be turned on and the machine can be cooled.
▶Put the item back into the device that has reached the temperature.
Note: No electric heaters, metal tools, sharp sharps to defrost.
2. Stop Using
If the ultra-low temperature freezer needs to be stopped for a long time, the power supply (including the battery
power supply) should be cut off, cleaned according to the method of 3 as followed, and the cover is dried to be
sealed.
Before using it again, use a dry cloth to dry the water around the cabinet (especially the part where the door
seal is in direct contact with the cabinet) to avoid freezing the door seal at low temperature.
3. Maintenance
Clean and maintain the ultra-low temperature freezer at regular intervals.(For safety reasons, the power plug
must be unplugged before scrubbing)
Wipe the inner and outer surfaces of the ultra-low temperature freezer with a warm, damp cloth.
When there is serious stain, wipe it with a neutral detergent for washing utensils, and then wipe the water stain
with a soft cloth.
Note: Do not directly sprinkle water on the cabinet to avoid the insulation of the electrical
components and the metal parts being rust. Never use hot water and corrosive detergents or
organic solvents to clean the cabinet.
Warning: Children are not allowed to play games around the freezer, which may cause frostbite or
other safety hazards!
VIII. After-sales Service
Any product has the possibility of failure. Please observe the operation of the ultra-low temperature freezer in
the process of use. If there is any abnormality, please check and compare the errors with the following table. If
you can't fix the issue, please inform our service center in time, telling us your name, address, telephone
number, ultra-low temperature freezer model, purchase time, fault phenomenon, etc. We will serve you

wholeheartedly so as not to cause losses to you.
Below are normal operations:
▶There is some attack sounds when the freezer starts or stops. When the ultra-low temperature freeze is
used or started for the first time, there is a normal phenomenon that the working time is long and the noise is
large. After the temperature is stabilized, the noise will be reduced accordingly.
▶During rainy and humid season, the surface of the device may be frosted and just wipe off with a dry cloth.
▶The secondary door opening interval should be more than 1 minute, otherwise the hot air enters the inside
of device, and the negative pressure caused by the sharp drop in temperature causes the door to be difficult to
open.
▶Once there is abnormal alarm when turn on the power, this is the control panel has not completely read the
data, the display will be normal after a few seconds, if the data fails to read, please turn off the power and
restart.
▶Do not place the device in a wooden floor or carpeted room. Due to the high humidity season, there may be
a small amount of condensed water seeping out of the chassis during low temperature operation.
Before notifying the service engineer, please clean and disinfect the device first. Do not shake or
collide violently during transportation or operation and keep dry.
