1. ThisproductmustbeinstalledbyalicensedandqualifiedelectricianaccordingtoSAA
andlocalauthorityregulations.
2. Thisapplianceisnotintendedforusebypersons(includingchildren)withreducedphysical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
givensupervision orinstructionconcerninguse oftheapplianceby apersonresponsible for
theirsafety.

8. Donotinstallindamplocationsorimmerseintowater.(Forindooruseonly.)
9. Donotpullonorcutleadsshorter.
10. Donotdroporbumptheunit.
11. Thebatterywillweakenwithageandshouldbereplacedbeforeleakingtakesplaceasthiswill
damagethetransmitter.Disposeofusedbatteryproperly;keepthebatteryoutofreachof
children.
12. Donotusethisproductinconjunctionwithanyvariable(rheostat)wallcontroltoreducethe
riskoffireorinjury.
13. Thismanualisnotintendedtoinstructorassistuntrainedorunqualifiedpersonstoinstallthis
ceilingfan.
14.Itistheresponsibilityofqualified,licensedinstallerandusertoapplycommonsense
andcareatalltimesduringinstallationandoperation.

Makesureelectricityisturnedoffatthemainpowerboxbeforecommencingwork.Turnoff
thepowerbyremovingfuseorturningoffcircuitbreaker.
Incorrectwireconnectionwoulddamagetheremotecontrolreceiver
1. Powersupplytoremotecontrolreceivermustbeconnectedthroughanisolationswitch,i.e.
existingwallswitch.Ensureidenticalcodeswitchsettingonbothreceiverandhandset.
2. Insertreceiverthroughhangingbracket.Connectwiresinaccordancetowiringdiagram.Cover
upthereceiverandhangingbracketwithfancanopy.Becarefulnottodamagewiring.
3. Forceilingfanwithmanualorpullchainswitches,setthefantoHIGHspeedandthelightkit,if
any,toONpositionusingpullchainafterinstallationbeforeoperatingremotecontrol.

NOTE:Instructionswheninstallingremotecontrollerinceilingfans(i)ofotherbrands,(ii)withalow
profile/huggerdesignor(iii)thatmayhaveasmallerhangingbracket.
‐Pleasechecktoconfirmelectricalcompatibilityoftheremotecontrollersetwiththeceilingfanbefore
installation.
‐Ifreceiveroftheremotecontrollercannotbeinsertedintothehangingbracketduetodimensional
limitationsorifthereisnohangingbracketinthecaseofalowprofile(huggerdesign)ceilingfan,the
receivercanbeenclosedinanElectricalInsulationBox(pleasefollowAustralianwiringregulations)and
placedintheceiling.Inthiscase,pleasemakesuretodrawtheantenna/aerialwireawayfromthe
insulationboxthroughasmallhole.
Dependingonmodelyourreceiver

connectorsforquickinstallation.

CODESWITCH
1. CODESWITCH:Codesaresetby
pushing dip switches up or down.
Itisimperativethatthecodeused
for both transmitter and receiver
isexactlythesame;otherwise
remote controller will not work.
Please note the code switch will
enable you to operate a second
remote controller independently.
For example, if you have two
ceiling fans with 2 remote control
units,set2differentcodesforeach
setoftransmitter/receivers.Thismeansyoucanoperateeachceilingfanindependently.
