instruction manual carefully before using the product.
The documentation provided will allow you to fully enjoy all the
features this unit has to offer.
Please save this manual for future reference.
Precautions:
This device is a sophisticated product and should be handled and
operated with care. Please be aware of the laws in your country
regarding owning and operating UAV’s. This device is suitable for
people older than 14 years. Please note that some experience may be
required to effectively operated this device.
Instructions:
The Merlin FloCopter in a copter that is controlled by using hand
gestures. It can be enjoyed in
Charging Battery:
Before using the copter please check the battery for sufficient charge.
- Remove the battery from the copter and connect it to the
provided charger as per the diagram below.
- Connect the charging cable to a USB port for charging. A laptop or
standard 5V/1A USB charger can be used. The red led will be on
while charging and turn off when charging is complete.
- The battery takes about 40 –60 minutes to fully charge.
- After the charge is complete please place the battery in the copter
and connect the cable.
The remote control requires 3 x AAA batteries. Remove the read panel
and install the batteries before operation the copter.
Preparing for flight:
- Ensure that all batteries are charged and connected.
- Put the copter on the ground or a flat surface.
-Make sure the copter’s headlight led is facing you.
- Take the controller, slide your fingers into it and hold with your
thumb.
- Press the power button on the side to power on the controller.
- The LED on the controller will flash quickly and become steady
once its paired. If pairing fails short press the button again to
redo the pairing.
K –Auto Take off / Landing
K1 –Speed Adjustment
K2 –Tricks
K3 –Turning
K4 –Height Adjustment
Operation and Controls:
-Hold the remote horizontal and press the “K” button to take off
automatically. If will start hovering at a certain height.
- To control the direction of the copter lean your hand
forward/backward/left and right at a slow pace. The angel of
your hand should be more that 15 degrees for the copter to
move.
-To make the copter go left or right press the “K3” button and
move your hand left and right.
-To change the speed of the copter the “K1” key can be used.
Press once for medium speed. Press twice for high speed and
three times for low speed. Please keep the speed low if you
are a beginner.
-To make the copter fly higher or lower press the “K4” button
and move your hand up or down slowly to change the height.
When you reached the desired height release the “K4”
button.
-The copter can be landed by pressing the “K” button during
flight. Once pressed the copter will stop flying and start to
land slowly.
-Emergency stop: In case of emergency press the “on/off” for
the copter to do an emergency stop.
Tricks:
- Before doing a trick make sure the copter in at a height of 2m
and fully charged.
-Press “K2” the controller left/right/forward or backward at an
angle bigger than 75 degrees. To control the copter use the
normal left/right/forward/backward at 15 degrees.

Q) How long can I fly the copter?
A) On full charge the flying time is about 5min.
Q) What is the charging time?
A) The battery takes 40-60 minutes to charge.
Q) How far can I fly the copter?
A) The range of the copter is 50 meters. Don’t fly it further than
that from the controller as it might get lost.
Q) After a crash the copter flies erratic.
A) Inspect the copter for any physical damage remembering to
check the propellers. Please also restart the copter for the sensors
to re-calibrate.
Maintenance:
1. Retain these instructions for future use.
2. Clean the product with a damp cloth and mild soap.
3. Do not expose this product to rain or moisture.
4. Be careful not to turn or twist the cables used in this product
too much as it can lead to malfunction and failure.
5. This product is not designed to be submerged in water and
will malfunction if this occurs.
6. This product has no user serviceable items inside. Do not
open this product as the user risk injury and would void the
warranty.
7. Keep unit away from strong magnetic fields to avoid
interference with the product.
