Safety Claim
This user manual is only used for description of WB5110-D multifunctional Harmonic Meter. Please read
this manual carefully before installation, operation or repairing.
In this user manual, it is assumed that every one who would be associated with this product should be
familiar with the contents of the safety section, or this safety guide and basic electrical engineering
knowledges.
When electrical equipment is in operation, dangerous voltages will be present in certain parts of the
equipment (for example the input terminals). Therefore, before working on the input signal area or power
supply area, the product must be isolated.
For any installation, repairing and maintaining of the meter must be done by the professional personnel.
The following signs might be found in this user manual or on the product to provide alert for the potential
danger or attention to the safe operation of the product.
Failure to observe warning notices, incorrect uses, or improper uses may endanger the
personnel and the equipment and course personal injury or physical damage.
The operating manual for the equipment gives instructions for its installation, commissioning, and
operation. However, the manual cannot cover all conceivable circumstances or include detailed
information on all topics. In the event of questions or specific problem, do not take any action without
proper authorization. Contact the appropriate WB technical sales office and request the necessary
information.
Caution
1. Pay attention to the auxiliary power information, especially the auxiliary power grade, and
polarity, other wise will damage the product.
2. Pay attention to the wire connection; wrong terminal connection or wiring will cause
malfunction of the product and even damage the product;
3. Don’t dismantle the product and change the any label of the product; Always carry the product
with care and avoiding bump and fall of the product;

2 Introduction of WB5110-D
2.1 Overview
WB5110-D Multifunctional Harmonic Meter is a multifunctional electric panel meter features with
integrated functions of programmable of measurement parameters,LED display, digital communication ,
relay measurement & control and analogue measurement.
It measures and analysis the Voltage , Current, Active Power, Reactive Power, Apparent Power, Power
Factor, Frequency, Active Energy, Reactive Energy, Four-quadrant Energy, Time-period Energy, Monthly
Energy, Harmonic Distribution (2-31 times) of voltage and current, Total harmonic distribution (THD) of
voltage and current, Unbalanced degree of current and voltage, Positive sequence current and voltage,
Negative sequence of voltage and current, Zero sequence of voltage current, Current K coefficient, Voltage
peak-coefficient, Harmonic wave-factor, etc. It also records the event of Maximum (minimum) value,
lacking phase / over voltage and programming etc.
WB5110-D has four plug-in modules for optional functions to select; they are Analogue Input, Relay Input,
Analogue Output and Energy Pulse Output.
WB5110-D may a direct substitute of conventional indication instrument, energy meter and harmonic
measuring meter. As a front sampling element of advanced smart & digitalized electric net, WB5110-D is
suitable for applications of any types of control system, energy management system, substation automation,
power distribution net automation, electric power monitoring of individual community, industrial
automation, smart building, intelligent distribution cabinet and switch board, etc.
WB5110-D is easy to be installed, wiring and maintained. And its input parameters can be programmed at
working field site.

4. Installation and Operation
4.1 Installation
WB5110-D Multifunctiona Harmoinc Panel Meter is suitable for embedded installation.
The installation panel dimensions is 92mm*92mm; When panel size is ready then embed the meter into
the panel slot for sure.
4.2 Wiring
Please make sure the right wiring before add power on this meter.
If the wiring diagrams of operation manual differ from the meter shell shows, please follow the wiring
diagrams from the meter shell.

4.3 Wiring Instruction
a) Auxilairy Power Supply is needed for normal operation of WB5110-D. Please make sure using
specs of right auxiliary power supply to protect the meter from damage.
b) Please be noticed the rated input voltage shall not be more than the meter required input voltage,
otherwise should consider using PT, and PT secondary one end should be grounded. Connector
bar is suggested for easy maitanence. And the input end of voltage is suggested to install 1A fuse
wire.
c) Please be noticed the rated input current shall not be more than the meter required input current,
otherwise should consider using CT secondary one end should be grounded. Connector bar is
suggested for easy maitanence.
d) WB5110-D provides wiring system of 3-phase-4-wire, 3-phase-3-wire, single phase. The on-site
wiring of the meter should be accordance with the meter required system. And make sure the
phase sequence of input voltage, current should be comformed with wiring diagram; otherwise
the error measurement will be occured.
e) If the meter with plug-in modules, please first pull off the terminal of plug-in, then tightly press
and connect the terminal of the plug-in into the meter’s main terminals then fix the screws. And
second, please make sure the wiring of Plug-In modules and fix the screws.
5. Plug-In Modules Introduction
5.1 Switch Quantity Output Plug-In Module
The functions of relay output Plug-In modules are suitable for the alarm indication, output protection and
control. Relay output classified as normally open and normally closed.
A Upper Limit Alarm
Represents when exceed the thresh-hold value, relay output is into conduction.
B Lower Limit Alarm
Represents when under the thresh-hold value, relay output is into conduction.
C Upper and Lower Limit Alarm
Represents when exceed or under the thresh-hold value, relay output is into conduction.
D Switch Monitoring and Alarming

If choose switch input status as alarming output, there is no need to set alarming threshold value. It
can be through programming relay output as “switch”. When choose alarm item is di-1(e.g. d3-1)
means the circuit is in the conduction status to generate the relay alarm output; When choose alarm
item is di-0 (e.g..d3-0) means the circuit is disconnected to generated alarm output.
E Relay
If choose relay output is remote control mode, it can be programmed relay output as “ remote control”
then through communication to control the output of relay.
5.2 Energy Pulse Output Plug-In Introduction
Energy Pulse Output Plug-In Module provides 1-channel of reactive energy pulse output and
1-channel of reactive energy pulse output. It is used mode of pulse output for measurement of energy
accuracy.
A.Electrical Characteristic: Electric circuit diagram of Pulse sampling interface VCC<=30V
IZ<=30mA.
B.Pulse Constant:
4000 imp/kWh (kvarh) (Except measurement range of AC100V 1A);
20000 imp/kWh(AC100V 1A measurement range), the maximum speed of pulse is not eceeded
200ms. It means when the meter accumulated 1kWh(1kvarh), its output number of pulse is 4000

Analogue output Plug-In module: There are 34 electric parameters stored in the real time
measurement register table list, and every channel can choose one electric parameter to configure.
Through analogue plug-in output module to realize the output function of 0-20mA or 4-20mA.
Electrical characteristic:
Output: 0-20mA or 4-20mA;
Accuracy: 0.5;
Over Load capacity: 120% of Maximum output.
Maximum Current: 24mA;
Load Capacity: Rmax = 500.
5.4 Switch quantitiy Input Plug-In Module
The functions of switch quantity input measurement adopt the means of dry contact resistor signal
input. The Meter equipped with +12V dc working power, no need for external power supply.
When the meter has been connected with working power, through the switching quantity input
module to do the DI sampling, the interface shows open line status. When the meter has been
disconnected with working power, the DI sampling is not working, the interface shows disconnected
status.
The switch quantity input measurement can set related with Relay output action to realize the
functions of some locking and interlocking. (The detail information please see 5.1 Switching
quantity output Plug-In module).Electrical Data: Ri<500been connected; Ri>100 Kbeen
disconnected.
5.5 Analogue Input Plug-In Module
Analogue Input Plug-in module provides measurement functions of DC 0~20mA or 4mA~20mA;
accuracy: 1.0% .
Analogue input measurement is suitable for the application of thermal transmission signal through
communication data remote transmitting.

Remark:
1. Under different interface, same Press button has different action.
2. Press one time, enters into harmonic display interface, indication prompt flickers. At this time can
through ,buttons to shift between the three interfaces of the voltage THD, voltage 1st Harmonic, current
1st harmonic. Also can through , buttons to shift between the interfaces of Voltage THD, Current
THD, Voltage harmonic 1~31, Current harmonic 1~31; Again Press button, the harmonic prompt is
no longer flickering. Then press other buttons to enter other parameters display interface.

Take Notice Of:
1. In above table, 1,2,3,4,5,6,…represents the no. of screen displayed;
2. The current display base on the number of CT to confirm. When it displays 2 CT, diplays current
of Phase A, Phase C; when it displays 3CT, displays current of Three Phase Current.
3. Harmoinc Display Interface shows three phase voltage THD, three phase current THD, 1~31
times of three phase voltage harmonic, 1~31times of three phase current harmonic.
6.4.1.2 Data Inquiring Process
The user can through pressing six buttons on the panel to realize the different parameters displaying shift.
