A299 Battery Module Cradle
The A299 Battery Module Cradle holds and secures the Battery
Module while it is being analyzed and conditioned.
Cradle Components
Temperature Sensor
Monitors battery module temperature during the
conditioning process.
Safety Switch
Aborts the conditioning process if the lid is opened.
Locking Cam
Pushes the battery module into the Spring-loaded
Contacts and locks it into the Cradle.
Spring-loaded Contacts
Makes the electrical connections with the battery module
during the Charge Balance process.
CIB Cable Connections
Sockets for the two cables that connect the cradle to the
Cradle Interface Box (CIB).
Locking Cam
Locks the battery module into the battery cradle.
Using The Module Cradle
1. When prompted by the GRX-5000EV, unlatch and open the
Module Cradle lid.

2. Place the battery module into the cradle. Make sure the
electrical connections on the end of the module are in con-
tact with the charging/discharging studs in the cradle.
3. Close the locking cam to lock the battery module into the
cradle.

4. Close cradle lid and lock the latches.
