Brief instructionsaAutoDos (automatic dispensing)bDetergent compartmentcRinse aid reservoirdSalt reservoireFilter combinationOpening the doorThe dishwasher has a motorised dooropener which is activated by knockingon the door front (Knock2openfunction).Knock twice in quick succession onthe top third of the door front.The door will open a little. Filling the salt reservoir
Remove the lower basket from thewash cabinet and unscrew the saltreservoir cap.Damage to the water softenerfrom detergents.Dishwasher detergent will damagethe water softener.Do not fill the salt reservoir withpowder or liquid detergent.Risk of corrosion due to salinesolution.Water or saline solution will run outof the reservoir when the cap isopened. Saline solution that runs outcan cause corrosion in the washcabinet and to the dishwasher load.The salt reservoir should thereforeonly be opened to replenish the salt.Fill the salt reservoir with approx. 2lof water (first use only).Place the funnel provided over thesalt reservoir and carefully fill withdishwasher salt until the reservoir isfull.Clean any excess salt from aroundthe reservoir opening and then screwthe salt reservoir cap on again firmly.Immediately after filling the saltcontainer, run the QuickPowerWash65°C programme with theExpress option and without anyload in the dishwasher to dissolveand remove any traces of salt fromthe cabinet.

Adding rinse aid
Lift the yellow button on the lid of therinse aid container .Only fill with rinse aid until the fill levelindicator turns dark when the door isopen horizontally.Close the lid making sure it clicks intoplace.Wipe up any spilled rinse aid. Thisprevents over-foaming occurringduring the next programme. Loading the dishwasher Detergent dispensingThere are two ways of dispensing thedetergent. During automatic dispensing, theAutoDos function will automaticallydispense the required amount ofdetergent for each programme once aPowerDisk has been inserted. If you have deactivated automaticdispensing, you can dispense detergentmanually.Automatic detergent dispensingBefore you can use AutoDos, you mustinsert a PowerDisk containing powderdetergent into the PowerDiskcompartment.Slide the yellow catch of the AutoDoslid to and open it.Before you use AutoDos for the firsttime, remove the transport lock fromthe PowerDisk compartment.If the arrows in the PowerDisk holderand in the viewing window are notpointing towards each other, removethe PowerDisk holder.

Put the holder back into place so thatthe arrows point towards each otherand the holder lies flat. When doing this, only hold thePowerDisk holder by the yellow tab inthe middle. Do not hold it by the sidetab.Insert the new PowerDisk and press itevenly downwards until it sits flush.Close the AutoDos lid and slide theyellow catch until it is aligned with thesymbol.TheAutoDos function will beactivated automatically.This setting applies to all programmesand you can change it at any time usingthe AutoDossensor.If the PowerDisk is not in the correctstarting position, it will be rotatedautomatically. Wait until this process is finished beforeyou start a programme.Manual detergent dispensing
Dispense detergent manually if youhave deactivated automatic dispensing.Follow the detergent dosagerecommended by the manufactureron the packaging.Unless directed otherwise, use onedetergent tab or add 20 to 30ml ofdetergent to the detergentcompartment, depending on thedegree of soiling of the crockery.Lift the yellow catch on the lid of thedetergent compartment .The lid will open.Fill the detergent compartment withdetergent and push the lid shut untilyou hear it click into place.

Switching onTurn on the tap if it is turned off.Open the door.Touch the sensor. Selecting a programmeTouch the sensor for the requiredprogramme.Further programmes can be selectedunder . Selecting programme options (ifrequired)You can select and deselectprogramme options via the relevantsensors and the display.The selected programme option willremain active for that particularprogramme until the setting is changed.Touch the sensor for the programmeoption you want.The relevant sensor will light up brightly. Activating the timer (if required)Touch the sensor.Select the function you want usingthe sensors and confirm withOK.Enter the required time for the timerusing the sensors and confirmwith OK. Starting a programmeStart the programme by closing thedoor. Programme end - Switching offAt the end of a programme, the opticalin-operation indicator light will flashslowly with the door shut. The signaltones might also sound.The programme has finished whenFinished appears in the display andthe door has opened slightly (ifapplicable).The drying fan may continue to run fora few minutes at the end of theprogramme.Open the door.The dishwasher can be switched offat any time using the sensor.Confirm the query Switch appliance off
with OK.Risk of damage due to steam.Steam from the dishwasher coulddamage the edges of delicateworktops when you open the door atthe end of the programme if the fanis no longer running.If you have deactivated theautomatic door opening function butwould still like to open the door atthe end of the programme, makesure that you open the door fully. Unloading the dishwasherDishes tend to break and chip moreeasily when they are hot. Allow thedishes to cool until they are comfortableenough to handle before unloadingthem.

Cleaning and careCleaning the spray armsParticles of food can get stuck in thespray arm jets and bearings. The sprayarms should therefore be inspectedregularly (approx. every 2–4months).Do not run a wash programmewithout the lower spray arm orwithout the filters fitted.Switch the dishwasher off.Take out the cutlery tray (if yourdishwasher is fitted with one).Push the upper spray arm upwards toengage the inner ratchet. Thenunscrew the spray arm by rotating thescrew thread anti-clockwise(overhead perspective).Rotate the screw thread of the middlespray arm clockwise (overheadperspective) (see diagram) andremove the spray arm .Remove the lower basket.Rotate the screw thread of the lowerspray arm anti-clockwise and pullthe spray arm upwards to remove.Use a pointed object to push foodparticles stuck in the jets into thespray arm.Rinse the spray arm thoroughly underrunning water.Refit the upper and middle sprayarms.Refit the lower spray arm and ensurethat the filter combination lies flat inthe base of the wash cabinet.Rotate the screw thread of the lowerspray arm clockwise until the arrow inthe viewing window points to thelock symbol.Make sure the spray arms can rotatefreely.

Checking the filters in thewash cabinetDo not run a wash programmewithout the filters or without thelower spray arm fitted.The message Check filters will appear inthe display after every 50 programmesequences.Monitor the condition of the filtercombination regularly and clean it ifnecessary.Confirm the message with OK.Cleaning the filtersSwitch the dishwasher off.Remove the lower spray arm.Before removing the filtercombination, remove any coarsesoiling to prevent it from entering thecirculation system.Remove the filter combination.In order to clean the inside of thefilter, pull the microfilter downwardsand away from the filter combination.Rinse all the parts under runningwater.Push the microfilter back onto thefilter combination.Refit the filter combination so that itlies flat in the base of the washcabinet.Refit the lower spray arm to the filtercombination using the screw thread.Rotate the screw thread clockwiseuntil the arrow in the viewing windowpoints to the lock symbol.
