1 Display
Shows the programme duration, check/
fault messages and programmable func-
tions.
2 Check / Fault indicator lights
The PC check light is also used by
service technicians to run diagnostic
checks on your tumble dryer and may
be used to update programming data in
the future.
3 Start button
Press the Start button to start a pro-
gramme. The Start indicator light will
flash as soon as the programme can be
started. It lights up constantly once the
programme has started.
4 Programme selector
For selecting the programme.
5  button
For switching the appliance on or off.
or the programme duration will light
up as confirmation that the tumble dryer
has been switched on.
6 Door button
Pressing this button will open the door
even when the appliance is not switched
on at the mains.
Programme duration / Estimated time
remaining
The estimated programme duration will
appear in the display.
The following factors all affect the estimated
time remaining:
residual moisture content after spinning;
type of fabric; size of load; room tempera-
ture; fluctuations in power supply.
Drum lighting
When the dryer is switched on at the mains
and the door is opened, the drum lighting
will come on. It will go out a few minutes
later to save energy.

4. Selecting a programme
ĺTurn the programme selector to the required
programme. The programme duration is preset and
cannot be altered.
5. Starting the programme
ĺPress the flashing Start button. The indicator light for the
Start button will now light up constantly.
6. Removing the laundry at the end of the
programme
At the end of the programme: lights up and the buzzer
sounds.
After the programme has finished, the drum will continue
to rotate in a certain rhythm, depending on the selected
programme.
ĺPress the Door button.
ĺOpen the door.
ĺRemove the laundry.
ɘCheck that all items have been removed from the
drum. If items are left in the dryer, they could be
damaged by overdrying when the dryer is next used.
ĺPress the button to switch the dryer off.
ĺClean the fluff filters.
ĺClose the door.
ĺEmpty the condensed water container.
Exception: You have chosen to externally drain the
condensed water.
2. Switching on the tumble dryer
ĺSwitch the tumble dryer on with the button. The
drum lighting will come on.
3. Loading the tumble dryer
ĺPress the Door button to open the door.
ĺUnfold the laundry and load
loosely into the drum.
Do not overload the drum. Over-
loading can cause unnecessary
wear and tear to the laundry,
give a disappointing drying result
and cause more creasing.
ɘWhen closing the door, make sure that laundry does
not get trapped in the door opening.

ɘBefore using the tumble dryer for
the first time, ensure that it is correctly
installed and connected.
It is essential to read the operating
instructions.
1. Notes on correct laundry care
ɘRemove foreign objects like detergent dispensing
devices from the laundry. They can melt and damage the
dryer and the laundry.
ĺSort the laundry according to the type of fibre and
weave, size, garment care label symbol and the drying
level required.
ĺDisentangle the laundry.
ĺCheck seams and stitching to ensure that padding and
linings are intact.
ĺFasten duvet covers and pillow cases to prevent small
items from being rolled up inside them.
ĺFasten hooks and eyes.
ĺTie together textile belts and apron ties.
ĺSew in or remove underwiring from bras.
Tips on drying
–Always observe the maximum recom-
mended loads given in the "Programme
chart".
ɘNever overload the drum. Overload-
ing can cause unnecessary wear and tear
to the laundry, give a disappointing drying
result and cause more creasing.
–Do not put soaking wet items into the
tumble dryer to dry them; spin them first
in the washing machine at the maximum
spin speed.
–Minimum iron fabric tends to crease
more, the larger the load. This is particu-
larly the case for garments made from
very fine weave fabric, such as shirts or
blouses.
You cannot change to another programme
once a programme has started (this pre-
vents unintentional alterations).
If the programme selector has been
moved,  remains lit up until the original
programme is reset.
You will need to cancel the current pro-
gramme before you can select a new one.
Cancelling a programme while it
is running and selecting a new
programme
ĺTurn the programme selector to Finish.
The items will be cooled down, depend-
ing on the temperature reached and how
long they have been dried for.
The programme is not finished until lights
up.
ĺPress the button to switch the dryer
off.
ĺPress the button to switch the dryer
on.
ĺSelect and start a new programme
straight away.
Adding or removing laundry after a
programme has started
ɘRestart the programme immediately
after adding or removing items. Otherwise,
remove all items and spread them out to
cool down completely.
ĺPress the Door button.
ĺOpen the door.
ɘDanger of burning: Do not touch the
back of the drum when adding or remov-
ing items. The drum and the items can get
very hot.
ĺAdd or remove items.
ĺClose the door.
ĺPress the Start button.
Programme duration
Altering the programme sequence can
cause the programme duration shown in
the time display to be adjusted.

Energy saving tips
To avoid unnecessarily long drying times
and high consumption of energy:
–Make sure your laundry is spun at the
maximum spin speed before drying.
–Load according to the optimum
amount of laundry recommended for
the programme being used.
Underloading is uneconomical.
Overloading gives poorer quality of
drying and may cause unnecessary
creasing.
–After every cycle remove the fluff from
the fluff filters in the door and in the
door opening.
–Ensure sufficient room ventilation.
–Check the condenser unit once a year
and clean it if necessary.

Cleaning and care Problem solving guide
These short instructions are not a substitute for the operating instructions supplied with
the appliance.
Please read the operating instructions supplied with your tumble dryer before using it
for the first time and take note of the Warning and Safety instructions, as well as the full
descriptions on how to use your appliance.

Cleaning the fluff filters
Removing visible fluff
Clean the surfaces of the fluff filters in the
door and the door opening after each
drying programme.
ĺPress the Door
button to open
the door.
ĺPull the fluff filter
out of the door.
ĺUse your fingers or a vacuum cleaner to
remove the fluff from all of the fluff filters.
ĺRemove any fluff from the hollow part of
the door with a bottle brush or a vacuum
cleaner.
ĺAlso clean the door seal with a damp
cloth.
ĺOnce clean, push the filter back into the
door holder until it clicks into position.
Ensure it is facing the correct way.
ĺClose the door.
Cleaning the fluff filters with water
If there is a great deal of compacted
fluff on any of the filters, they should be
removed and cleaned with water.
ĺOpen the door and pull the fluff filter out
of the door.
The two filters in the door opening can also
be removed if you need to clean them with
water:
ĺTurn the dial
on the left and
right fluff filter
until you feel it
click.
ĺPull the filter out of the door opening by
the dial as shown .
ĺRinse all the filters under hot, running
water.
ĺDry the fluff filters thoroughly with care.
ĺClean the area underneath these filters,
e.g. with a vacuum cleaner.
ɘDo not replace the fluff filters if they are
damp. Damp or wet filters could cause
operational faults.
ĺPush the large filter back into the door
holder until it clicks into position. Ensure it
is facing the correct way.
ĺReplace the filters in the door opening
by first inserting them at the bottom and
then pressing them into place at the top.
ĺLock both dials (you will feel them click
into position).
Checking the heat exchanger unit
ĺHold the
condenser unit
up to the light
and check to see
if there is any fluff
inside it.
The arrows in the illustration above indicate
where to look.
If you cannot see any fluff:
ĺRefit the condenser unit (see the operat-
ing instructions).
If you can see some fluff:
ĺClean the condenser unit.
Cleaning the condenser unit
Check the condenser unit once a year
and clean it if necessary. Always check
the fluff filters and the condenser unit
if the Clean out airways indicator light
comes on.
Removing the condenser unit
ĺUse the yellow lever supplied to open the
service panel.
ĺInsert the lever
into the middle of
the gap in the
top (see arrow)
and lever the
panel until it
opens at the top.
ĺNow remove the panel by pulling it diago-
nally upwards. Then place it to one side.
ĺTurn the lever on
the inner cover
downwards to
the vertical
position.
ĺThen remove it by pulling it diagonally
upwards.
ĺTurn the lever on
the condenser
unit to the
vertical position.
The hook on the lever will click out of the
groove at the bottom of the condenser unit
housing.
ĺPull the con-
denser unit out of
its housing by the
handle.
Cleaning the dryer
ĺClean the housing, control panel and
door seal with a slightly damp cloth and a
mild detergent or soapy water.
ĺThe drum and other stainless steel parts
can be cleaned with a suitable proprietary
stainless steel cleaner following the man-
ufacturer's instructions.
Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners,
glass cleaners or all-purpose cleaners.
These could damage plastic surfaces
and other parts.
ĺDry all parts with a soft cloth.
Problem/Fault message Possible cause and remedy
The Empty the con-
tainer indicator lights
up. The programme
is cancelled and the
buzzer sounds.
The condensed water container is full or there is a kink in the
drain hose.
ĺEmpty out the condensed water container.
ĺCheck the drain hose.
ĺOpen and close the door while the dryer is switched on.
The indicator light will go out.
The programme is
cancelled, lights up
This is not a fault.
In some programmes, if the drum has been overloaded or
underloaded, the programme will be cancelled. This can also
happen if the items are already dry.
ĺOpen and close the door to resume drying.
ĺUse the 30 min warm air programme (timed drying) to dry
individual items.
The Start indicator
light flashes slowly
and the display is dark
The tumble dryer is in standby mode. This is not a fault, but a
normal function.
ĺSee "Standby" in "Programmable functions" in the operat-
ing instructions.
The Clean out airways
indicator light comes
on at the end of a pro-
gramme
There is a build-up of fluff in the airways.
ĺClean the fluff filters.
ĺClean the condenser unit.
ĺOpen and close the door while the dryer is switched on.
The indicator light will go out.
Bars flash in the dis-
play at the end
of a programme:
.........
The programme has finished but the laundry has not yet
cooled down.
ĺEither remove the laundry and spread it out to cool down
or leave it in the tumble dryer to cool down during the cool-
ing phase.
 lights up The programme selector has been moved.
ĺSelect the original programme. The time remaining will
appear in the display again.
Problem/Fault message Possible cause and remedy
The laundry is not suf-
ficiently dry
The load consisted of different types of fabric.
ĺFinish drying using the 30 min warm air timed drying pro-
gramme.
ĺSelect a more suitable programme next time.
Tip: You can alter the residual moisture level for some pro-
grammes. See "Programmable functions" in the operating
instructions.
Items made of syn-
thetic fibres are
charged with static
electricity after drying
Synthetic fibres tend to attract static charge.
Static charge can be reduced by adding a fabric softener to
the final rinse in the washing programme.
There is a build-up of
fluff
Fluff is principally the result of friction when garments are
being worn and to some extent when they are being washed.
Machine drying hardly causes any fluff to form.
Fluff is collected by the fluff filters in the door and door open-
ing and can be easily removed.
See "Cleaning and care".
Water leaks from the
machine after the con-
denser unit has been
cleaned
The inner cover of the condenser unit has not been locked
properly and/or the condenser unit has not been positioned
correctly.
Fluff has collected in the condenser unit housing.
ĺEnsure that the condenser unit is positioned correctly and
lock the inner cover.
ĺCheck the rubber seals.
ĺUse a cloth to remove any visible fluff from the inside of the
condenser unit housing.
Cleaning the condenser unit
When rinsing the condenser unit, make
sure you position it as shown in the next
two illustrations.
ĺRinse the condenser unit from the side
and from the front with a shower head or
similar.
ĺCheck the condenser unit again for any
visible fluff and, if necessary, flush it
through again until it has all gone.
ĺAlso make sure that the rubber seals are
clean.
ĺShake the water off the condenser unit
until no more droplets of water are visible.
ĺRemove any soiling still visible inside the
housing (see the operating instructions).
ĺRefit the condenser unit (see the operat-
ing instructions).
Emptying the condensed water
container
Empty the condensed water container
after every drying programme.
The Empty the container indicator light will
come on if the maximum level of the con-
densed water container is reached. The
indicator light will go out when the door is
opened and closed again when the tumble
dryer is switched on.
ĺPull out the
condensed water
container.
ĺTo prevent water running out, hold it at
the front and towards the back and keep
it in a horizontal position when carrying it.
ĺEmpty the
container.
ĺReplace the con-
tainer in the
dryer.
ɘDo not drink the condensed water. It
can cause health problems in people and
animals.
