Cased DMX 9 Channel LED Driver Board.
Part # 7-574.
Overview:
The DMX- 9 Channel LED driver board allows 9 PWM LED outputs to be controlled directly
from a DMX512 network.
The board provides 9 output channels of PWM running at 666 Hz.
The base address may be set between 1 and 504.
LED PWM:
The DMX value on the base address channel controls the PWM drive on output 1 a value of
0 will switch the load fully OFF and a value of 255 will switch the load fully ON, 128 will
generate a 50% duty PWM signal running at 1kHz. The resolution of the PWM stream is 8-
bit.
The value on the base address controls output 1, Base address + 1 controls output 2 etc.
The PWM signal is suspended when a valid DMX signal is not being received.
The Cased DMX 9 Channel PWM driver board is available in the following versions.

Connections:
DMX: Dual 5 Pin XLR connections with termination resistor
XLR Pin1 = Cable Screen, 2 =XLR Pin2 = Data -, 3 =XLR Pin3 = Data + .
Power: Polarised Screw Terminal connections 0V & V+ (9-15Vdc) Standard Board, power
requirements are 9-15V DC at 0.5 Amps + LED’s load current: Maximum 9.5 amps if using
LED connections wired as A (18.5 amps if wired as B)
Outputs:
The 9 output channels are each rated at 2 Amps Maximum @ 9-24 VDC if wired as Figure
Band are arranged as open collector outputs.
RGB LED’s should be common anode format wired to a “+” terminal and the cathodes to the
relevant “-“ input on the board.
N.B. All LEDs must include suitable current limiting resistors.
Indicators:
Digital Display: Displays base address
DMX Failure: Flashes ---/ERR if no valid DMX signal is being received.
Read DMX: Press to read current base address DMX value.
Power: The Digital Display will be lit.
Ch 1 Monitor LED: Visual indication of the PWM level on Channel 1.
Base Address Selection:
The base address can be set between 1 and 504 using the Up/Down buttons
Press and hold the DMX Read button to display the current DMX value on the base address.
Channel One DMX fault setting:
Press and hold the DMX read button whilst applying power, release the button, then adjust
the PWM level on channel one using the Up/Down buttons (0-255) then press Read DMX
again to save changes and exit.
