The Minolta MNCD60 Car Camcorder integrates multi-functions of 1080p HD video capture,
high resolution photo capture and a compact form factor. It adopts video decoding technology
of high performance and compression ratios to deliver excellent video quality. This camcorder
is intended for in-vehicle shooting, which effectively enables the collection of evidence for
driving accidents, daily life, traveling and outdoor activities. The Minolta MNCD60 allows you
to record video when mounted to your car’s windshield in a wide, large angle.
This quick guide explains how to use your camcorder and provides additional information,
including precautions and technical specifications. Please read through it carefully and
understand this quick guide before use. Keep it properly stored away for reference.
Safety and Handling Precautions
xDo not take apart or attempt to service the camcorder yourself.
xDo not expose the camcorder to moisture, or extreme temperatures.
xAllow the camera to warm up when moving from cold to warm temperatures.

1.3 Memory Card Insertion and Removal
1. Ensure the camcorder is powered off.
2. Insert a MicroSD memory card into the
MicroSD card slot with the gold pins facing
the display screen as shown below. Do not
force it through the memory card into the slot
as it can only be inserted in one direction.
Once successfully inserted, it will click in.
3. To remove the MicroSD card, simply push the
MicroSD card in and it will bounce back out of
the slot.
1.4 Swivel Lens
The front lens of your dashcam can
swivel and adjust to your preferred
point of view. Simply move the front
lens housing in any direction until
satisfied with the front view. Be sure to
adjust the front lens only after applying
the mount and dashcam combined to
your windshield and it is fixed firmly in
place.
Do not remove or insert the memory
card when recording. Doing so may
cause the card to become damaged
or cause data loss.

1.5 Windshield Mount
1. Insert the windshield mount as shown in the illustration.
2. Line up the mount’s USB plug with the dashcam’s
USB port and push in until it lock into place.
3. Once ready to mount to your
windshield, peel off the red sticky
sheet to reveal the sticky pad.
4. Apply the sticky side to the top
center of your windshield. Before
applying to your windshield, make
sure that your windshield is clean
and free from any dirt or debris.
NOTE: The sticky pad will last a long time if applied to the windshield once. If you need to
remove the mount and apply it back into a different position, some of the stickiness will dry
out. It is best to remove the existing sticky tape and apply a new sheet. Included with your
purchase is one extra sticky sheet.
5. Insert the smaller USB plug of the DC power adaptor into the USB port on the
windshield mount as shown in the illustration. Insert the larger power plug end into a free
auxiliary power part in your vehicle’s cabin.

1.6 Startup
1.6.1 In-Car Use
Connect the included auxiliary DC power adaptor to your car’s power port. Plug the USB
plug into the dashcam mount’s USB port and connect the dashcam mount to your
dashcam. Charging will begin immediately.
NOTE: The dashcam’s internal battery has a very limited capacity and is only intended for
use in emergency use situations.
While charging, the LCD monitor will display the battery’s status as follows:
Dashcam is connected to auxiliary power and is charging.
Dashcam is disconnected from auxiliary power and running on battery.
1.6.2 USB Cord / Computer Use
Connect the included USB cable to a free USB port on your computer, and connect the
other end of the cable into the dashcam mount’s USB port. The battery may be charged
while the camcorder is powered on or off.
2. USING YOUR CAMCORDER
Quick Use Instructions
Simply insert the memory card into the card slot, insert the auxiliary power adaptor into the
dashcam mount’s USB port and your car’s power port. The camcorder will automatically
power on and begin recording a video file within a few seconds.
To manually stop recording, press the MENU button. This will save the recorded file and enter
the system’s menu. You may also remove the auxiliary DC power adaptor at any time to
automatically save a recording and power the camcorder off. Just mount it to your windshield,
plug in the power and drive!

3. CAMCORDER OPERATION
Once you have inserted the memory card and plugged your dashcam into a power source,
your camcorder will automatically power on. You may also manually power your camcorder
on or off by pressing the POWER button for 3 seconds.
There are 2 operation modes available for use. To cycle through the different modes, simply
short press the MODE button.
3.1 Capture Mode
Once your camcorder powers on, it will default to Capture Mode and will begin recording
automatically. To start or stop recording at any time, press the MODE button. This will enter
the Menu Mode. To manually capture video again, simply press the MODE button to revert
back to Capture Mode you’re your dashcam will begin recording video again.
3.2 Menu Mode
To enter the Menu Mode and adjust settings, press the MODE button once. While in Menu
Mode, you can cycle through the various submenus to adjust the dashcam’s settings. To exit
Menu Mode and revert back to Capture Mode, simply press the MODE button again.
3.3 Playback
To review your video and photo files, press the MODE button. Short press the POWER /
MODE button until a previously captured file is shown on the screen. The most recent file
captured will be displayed first.
xPress the UP and DOWN buttons to cycle through available playback files of photos and
videos.
xTo delete a file or to protect a file from deletion, press the MENU button.
xPress the POWER / MODE button again to exit PLAYBACK mode.
Playing Back Video Clips
xPress the OK button to play or pause a video clip in PLAYBACK mode.
xTo delete a file or to protect a file from deletion, press the MENU button.

4. CAPTURE and MENU MODES INTERFACE
4.1 Capture Mode
Overview
The main purpose of a dashcam is to record events from the point of view of your windshield.
Therefore, Capture Mode is set up in a way as to prioritize video recording. When your
dashcam is in Video Capture Mode, it will always be recording.
Once your dashcam powers on, it will default to Capture Mode and will begin recording
automatically. To start or stop recording at any time, press the MODE button. This will enter
the Menu Mode. To manually capture video again, simply press the MODE button to revert
back to Capture Mode and your dashcam will automatically begin recording video again.
Below is a brief explanation of the Capture Mode on-screen icons and how to use them.
Menu - Press this button to stop recording and enter Menu Mode.
Photo Mode - Press this button to enter Photo Capture Mode. Press again to go
back to Video Capture mode.
Photo Capture - This icon will only appear while in Photo Mode. Press this
button capture a photo when in Photo Mode.
Press this button once to turn off or turn on the LCD display.
Hold down this button for 3 seconds to manually power off your dashcam.
Microphone - Press this button to enable or disable audio recording on video
clips.
Quick Lock - Press this button to lock or unlock the current video recording.

4.2 Menu Mode
Overview
Your dashcam comes preset with some user-adjustable settings to fine tune and customize
how you would like your videos to be captured. The settings are already optimized and preset
for the easiest experience.
To access Menu Mode, simply press the MODE button. You will be presented with a menu
interface with accessible submenus. Below is a summary on each submenus features and
options.
NOTE: Entering Menu Mode will stop recording on your dashcam. To revert back to Capture
Mode, press the MODE button again.
4.2.1 Playback Files
Your dashcam gives you the option of playing back your recording video and photo files right
from your camcorder.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Playback Files’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Playback Files’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a menu.
You can select from Videos, Locked Videos and Photos.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your desired menu.
5. Using the UP or DOWN buttons, you can scroll through the recorded files.
6. Press the OK button to enter a recorded file.
7. To return to previous menus, press the MENU button.
8. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.2 Delete Files
Your dashcam gives you the option of deleting your recording video and photo files right from
your camcorder.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Delete Files’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Delete Files’ submenu.

3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a menu. You
can select from Videos, Locked Videos and Photos.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your desired menu.
5. You are then presented with “Delete One” (for deleting a single file) or “Delete All”.
6. Press the OK button to confirm your desired option.
7. Using the UP or DOWN buttons, you can scroll through the recorded files.
8. Press the OK button to delete a selected recorded file.
9. Using the UP or DOWN buttons, highlight YES and press the OK button again to
confirm deletion.
10. To return to previous menus, press the MENU button.
11. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.3 Speaker Volume
This feature allows you to adjust the volume output of the dashcam’s speaker.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Speaker Volume’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Speaker Volume’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the volume to your desired level.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.4 Video Resolution
Your camcorder has a number of preset resolution and frames per second rates. A higher
resolution will produce a higher quality and lager video file.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Video Resolution’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Video Resolution’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from 1080p (highest quality), and 720p (medium quality).
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.

4.2.5 Video Clip Duration
This setting allows you to set a maximum duration for each video clip recorded. Once you
select an option, your camcorder will record video clips in this time interval only. Once your
selected duration recording time is reached, the camcorder will end the recording and begin
recording a new video file seamlessly.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Video Clip Duration’by using the UP
or DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Video Clip Duration’submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from 1 Minute, 2 Minutes and 3 Minutes.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.6 Exposure
This menu allows adjustment for the brightness levels of the video being captured.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Exposure’ by using the UP or DOWN
buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Exposure submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from a range of -2 to + 2.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.7 Front Move Alert
This menu allows you to enable or disable the FCMD –Front Car Move Detection. When
enabling this setting, the dashcam will alert you to drive your car forward if it detects that a
vehicle in front has moved and your vehicle is still stationary. Keep in mind this does not
help you operate the vehicle but to better help drivers promote better driving habits.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Front Move Alert’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Front Move Alert’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from Enable and Disable.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.

5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.8 Lane Departure
This menu allows you to enable or disable Lane Departure Guide. When enabled, the Lane
Departure Guide adds a yellow guide to your dashcam screen for keeping in your driving
lane. It will also alert you if it senses drifting out of the driving lane when moving over 40
MPH. The guide is not printed on recorded video and is only visible on the dashcam screen.
Keep in mind this does not help you operate the vehicle but to better help drivers promote
better driving habits.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Lane Departure’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Lane Departure’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from Enable and Disable.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.9 Front Collision
This menu allows you to enable or disable Front Collision Warning. The front collision
warning system is an advanced safety technology that helps you maintain a safe distance
from the vehicle in front of you. The driver will be alerted when they get too close to the car in
front. Keep in mind this does not help you operate the vehicle but to better help drivers
promote better driving habits.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Front Collision’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Front Collision’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from Enable and Disable.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.

4.2.10 Speed Limit Alert
This menu allows you to set up a Speed Limit Alert. When enabled, the dashcam will alert
you if it detects your vehicle exceeding the selected speed rating. The GPS Logging feature
must also be enabled for the Speed Limit Alert to function. Keep in mind this does not help
you operate the vehicle but to better help drivers promote better driving habits.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Speed Limit Alert’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Speed Limit Alert’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from Off, and wide range of speeds from 60mph to 120mph.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.11 Audio Recording
This menu allows you to enable or disable audio recording on captured video files. You can
also quickly enable or disable audio capture during a video recording by pressing the
Down/Next button.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Audio Recording’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Audio Recording’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from Enable and Disable.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.12 GPS Status
This menu displays the current GPS status and coordinates. The GPS coordinates will only
display if the windshield mount is attached to the dashcam, GPS is set to Enabled in the
settings and the dashcam has a clear view of the outdoor sky.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘GPS Coordinates’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘GPS Coordinates’ submenu.
3. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.

4.2.13 Collision Sensitivity
This setting allows you to set the sensitivity level for automatic recording upon collision.
When triggered or when the camcorder thinks a collision occurred, it will automatically lock
the recording. The video file will be locked and placed in the Locked Videos folder.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Collision Sensitivity’ by using the UP
or DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Collision Sensitivity’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from Off, Low, Middle and High.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.14 Parking Sensitivity
This setting allows the camcorder to automatically power on and record a video clip if the
camcorder detects a collision while parked and is powered off. You can set the sensitivity
level setting in this menu. This setting will only activate if there is sufficient battery power
remaining in the camcorder’s built-in battery. When triggered or when the camcorder thinks
a collision occurred, it will automatically lock the recording. The video file will be locked and
placed in the Locked Videos folder.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Parking Sensitivity’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Parking Sensitivity’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from Off, Low, Middle and High.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.15 Speed Unit
This menu allows you adjust the speed rating for the Speed Limit Alert.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Speed Unit’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Speed Unit’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from km/h and mph.

4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.16 Date & Time Stamp
This setting allows you enable or disable a date and time stamp recorded onto videos and
photos. Once a video file is recorded with the imprint, the imprint cannot be removed.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Date & Time Stamp’ by using the UP
or DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Date & Time Stamp’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from Date, Date & Time and Off.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.17 Date & Time Setup
This setting allows you to set a date and time for display on videos and photos.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Date & Time Setup’by using the UP
or DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Date & Time Setup’submenu.
3. The menu is presented as follows:
Date: MM/DD/YYYY (the date can only be displayed in this format)
Time: HH:MM:SS (the time can only be displayed in a 24-hour format)
4. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the values of each field. When you are
satisfied with the highlighted value, press the OK button to confirm that value and
proceed to the next number field.
5. Press the OK button to confirm your selected settings for each field.
6. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.18 Time Zone Setup
This menu allows adjustment of the Time Zone.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Time Zone Setup’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Time Zone Setup’ submenu.

3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from a range of -12:00 to +14:00.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.19 GPS Logging
This menu allows you to enable or disable GPS geotagging with your videos. A GPS geotag
is a log file that attaches to your recorded video files. When playing back your video files on
a PC with compatible software, you can review your exact GPS location at any point during a
video clip playback.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘GPS Satellite’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘GPS Satellite’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from Enable and Disable.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.20 Screen Auto Shut Off
This settings allows you to set the length of time before the LCD Screen turns off
automatically.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Screen Auto Shut Off’ by using the
UP or DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Screen Auto Shut Off’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from Off, 1 Minute and 3 Minutes.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.

4.2.21 Beep Sound
This menu allows you to enable or disable the button press “beep” sounds.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Beep Sound’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Beep Sound’submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from Enable and Disable.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.22 Language
This settings allows you to set the language of the dashcam menu.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Language’ by using the UP or DOWN
buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Language’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.

4.2.23 Frequency
This setting allows you to set the power frequency of your camcorder and is dependent on
the region that the camcorder is being used in.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Frequency’ by using the UP or DOWN
buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Frequency’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and select a setting.
You can select from 50 Hz and 60 Hz. The setting for North America is 60Hz.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.

4.2.24 Reset Settings
This setting allows you to reset all menu settings to the factory default settings. This function
will not delete any media stored on your memory card.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Reset Settings’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Reset Settings’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and YES or NO.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
4.2.25 Format Memory Card
This setting allows you to erase all video and photo files stored on your memory card.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘Format Memory Card’ by using the
UP or DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
2. Press the OK button to enter the ‘Format Memory Card’ submenu.
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons again to navigate the submenu and YES or NO.
4. Press the OK button to confirm your selected setting.
5. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
NOTE: Use extreme caution when accessing this setting. There is no way to recover
formatted media. Once you format your memory card, the previously stored files
cannot be recovered.
4.2.26 FW Version
This menu displays the current firmware version of your camcorder.
1. In Capture Mode press the MENU button. Select ‘FW Version’ by using the UP or
DOWN buttons to scroll through the menu pages.
1. Press the OK button to enter the ‘FW Version’ submenu. The menu will display the
current firmware version.
2. To exit the settings menu, press the MENU button and your camcorder will return to
Capture Mode and will automatically begin recording.
