Whencuttingordrillingintowallorceiling,donotdamageelectricalwiringandotherhidden
utilities.
Ductedfansmustalwaysbeventedtotheoutdoors.
Donotmakealterationstotheoriginalwiring.
Donotattempttorepairorreplaceanypartofyourhoodunlessitisspecificallyrecommended
inthismanual.

groundedcircuit(3-prongoutlet).

Routehousewiringascloseaspossibletotheinstallationlocation,intheceilingorbackwall.

Thehoodmustbeconnectedtothehousewiringinaccordancewiththelocalcodesandnorms.



Iftheinstructionsforinstallationofthegashobspecifyagreaterdistance,thishastobetakeninto
accountaswell.

Theexhaustairmustnotbedischargedintoachimneywhichisusedforexhaustingfumesfrom
otherappliancesburninggasorotherfuels.

 Determinetheexactlocationoftheventhood.Mark
thelocation.Findthecenterlineofthecooktop.Usea
leveltodrawaverticalstraightpencillineonthewall.

Plantherouteforventingexhausttotheoutdoors.Usethe
shortestandstraightestductroutepossible.Makesurethe
firstductrunsisatleast12’’beforeredirecting.Longduct
runs,elbowsandtransitionswillreducetheperformanceof
thehood.Useasfewofthemaspossible.Largerducting
mayberequiredforlongerductruns.

 Installawallcapwithdamperorroofcapattheexterior
opening/wall.Jointhewallorroofcaptotheductwork. 

Connectroundmetalductworktocapandworkbacktowardsthehood
location.Use2"metalfoilducttapetosealthejoints.

Thehoodmustbeconnecteddirectlytothefusedisconnectbox(orcircuitbreaker)witha
flexibleshieldedornonmetallicsheathedcoppercable.AU.L.voltagereducer-orC.S.A.-
mustbeinstalledateachendofthepowercable.

Donotuseanextensioncordorplugadaptertoconnectthisunit.

Settheelectricalpowersupplywithinthespacecoveredbythedecorativechimney.

Positiontheoutletoffsetsothatthepowercordwillnotinterferewiththeroundduct.

Makesurethisdoesnotinterferewithamountingbracketfasteningareaorwiththe
decorativechimney(wherethechimneytouchesthewall).










UTILITIES.WHENBUILDINGFRAMEWORK,ALWAYSFOLLOWALLAPPLICABLECONSTRUCTIONCODES
ANDSTANDARDS.


Toconstructwoodwallframingthatisflushwithsurfaceofwallstuds,ensurethat:
a)Theframingiscenteredoverinstallationlocationandissturdyenoughtosupportthe
weightofthehood.
b)Theheightoftheframingwillallowthemountingbrackettobesecuredtotheframing
withinthedimensionsshown.

Afterwallsurfaceisfinished,carefullycenterandlevelthehoodmountingbracket,secureitto
wallframingwiththree(3)no.8x1½"mountingscrews.Tightthescrewscompletely.
IMPORTANT:Makesurethatholeslocationsareleveled,andcorrectlycenteredbythevertical
centerline(thisinstallationinstructionappliesforconcretewalls).

WARNING 
TWO(2)PEOPLEAREREQUIREDTOLIFTANDPOSITIONTHEHOODONTOTHEMOUNTINGBRACKET.

INSTALLINGTHEUPPERCHIMNEYMOUNTINGBRACKET


Centerthebracketoverthehoodlocationandplaceitflushwiththe
ceiling.
Makesurethattheslotsoftheupperchimneybracketpointdown.
Usetheupperchimneymountingbracketasatemplatetomarkthe
positionofitsscrews.
Drillbothscrewholesusinga5/16"drillbit.
Inserttheincludeddrywallanchorsintothedrilledholes(oneperhole).
Securetheupperchimneybrackettothewallusingtwo(2)no.8x1½"mountingscrews.
Makesurethatthebracketistightagainstthewall.

WARNING 
BECAREFULWHENINSTALLINGTHEDECORATIVECHIMNEYANDHOOD,THEYMAYHAVESHARP
EDGES.

Installthe6"roundadapter/damperontopofthehoodusingfour(4)no.8x7/16"mountingscrews.
Alignthehoodandcenteritabovethehoodmountingbracket.Gentlylowerthehooduntilit
securelyengagesintothebracket.
Withthehoodhanginginplace,drillthroughbothholeslocatedatthebackofthehoodusinga
5/16"drillbit(seeFig.2).
Inserttheincludeddrywallanchorsintothedrilledholes(oneforeachhole).Inserttwo(2)no.8x
1¼"mountingscrewsintwo(2)washers,theninsertintothedrywallanchors.Verifythatthehood
iscenteredandleveled.Tightenallscrewscompletely.
Removeprotectiveplasticfilmcoveringthelowerchimneyonly.
Ifpossible(whenspaceissufficient),installthelowerchimneybrackettothechimneyusingtwo(2)
no.8x7/16"mountingscrews,makingsurethattheslotspointup(seeFig.3).
Carefullyplacebothchimneysontopofthehood.NOTE:Slightlyslideuptheupperchimneyto
avoiddamagingit.
Slidea6"metalroundductovertheadapter/damper(seeFig.2).Usemetalfoilducttapetoseal
thejoint.
Plugthehood’spowercordintotheoutlet.
Slideuptheupperchimneyuntilitisalignedwithitsmountingbracket.Thebracketmustbeinside
thechimney.Securetheupperchimneytoitsbracketusingtwo(2)no.8x7/16"mountingscrews.
Removeprotectiveplasticfilmcoveringtheupperchimneyandthehood.







TIMER/POWERBUTTON(K1)
Presstimer/Powerbutton(K1)oncetoturnonthesystem.
Presstheplussign“+”toactivatethehood,presstimer(K1)againandstartpower-offdelay
timer.Usetheplus“+”(K4)andminus“-“(K3)tosetdelaytimerperiod(1to10minutes).Once
thesettimeisterminated,thehoodwillshutitselfoff.Ifyouneedtostopitbeforetime
elapses,simplypresstimer(K1)again.


BLOWERSPEEDINDICATOR(K3&K4)

Theplussign“+”button(K4)turnstheblowerontothree(3)speedssettings:lowesttostrongest.The
minussign“-“button(K3)goesfromstrongesttothelowest.Presstheclock/timer(K1)oncetoturn
theLCDscreenonandusespeedbutton“-“(K3)todecreaseandthe“+”button(K4)toincreasethe
speeduntildesiredspeedisattained.
Lowspeed:usedforlightfrying/boiling.
Mediumspeed:usedforfrying/heavyboiling.
Highspeed:usedwhengrilling,intensivefryingandwokcooking.

ADJUSTINGTHETIMERSETTING
Thisbuttonisusedtosettimeandtimeisdisplayedina24-hourcycle.Tosetthetimer,pressthetimer
button(K1)forfour(4)seconds.Thefirsttwodigitswillflash.Usethe“–“button(K3)todecreaseand
the“+”button(K4)toincrease.Pressthetime/delaybutton(K1)again;thelasttwodigitswillflash.
Usethe“–“button(K3)todecreaseandthe“+”button(K4)toincrease.Pressthetime/delaybutton
(K1)againtoconfirmandexitthetimesettingmodeorwaitfive(5)secondsanditwillautomatically
exit.

ADJUSTINGTHELIGHT
(K2)oncetoturnthelightsonandonceagaintoturnthelightsoff.PresstheLightbutton



4. MAINTENANCE

Foroptimaloperation,cleanrangehood,surfacesandfilterregularly.Regularcarewillhelppreserve
theappearanceoftherangehood.

SAFETYWARNING:NEVERPUTYOURHANDINTOTHEAREATHATHOUSESTHEFAN.


CLEANINGEXTERIORSURFACES

Cleanperiodicallywithhot,soapywaterandacleancottoncloth.Donotusecorrosiveorabrasive
detergentorsteelwool/scouringpads,whichwillscratchanddamagethestainlesssteelsurface.For
heaviersoil,useliquiddegreasingcleaner.Useastainlesssteelcleanertocleanthesurfaceofthehood.
Avoidgettingcleaningsolutionontoorintothecontrolpanel.Followdirectionsforthestainlesssteel
cleaner.

CAUTION

Usesofttoweltowipeoffthecleaningsolution,gentlyrubbingoffanystubbornspots.Usedrysoft
toweltodrythehood.Alwaysscrublightly,withacleancottonclothandinthedirectionofthegrain.

Donotallowdepositstoaccumulateorremainonthehood.Donotuseordinarysteelwoolorsteel
brushes.Smallbitsofsteelmayadheretothesurfaceandcauserusting.

Donotallowsaltsolutions,disinfectants,bleaches,orcleaningcompoundstoremainincontactwith
stainlesssteelforextendedperiods.Manyofthesecompoundscontainchemicalswhichmaybeharmful.
Rinsewithwaterafterexposureandwipedrywithacleancloth.

CLEANINGTHEGREASEFILTERS

Themicroholesstainlesssteelfiltersareintendedtofilteroutresidueandgreasefromcookingandare
requiredtobekeptclean.Filtersshouldbecleanedafter30hoursofuse(oronceeverymonth,
accordingtousage).Removeandcleanbyhandinsoapywaterorinthedishwasher.Drythefiltersand
re-install.Ifcleaningthefiltersinthedishwasher,useanon-phosphatedetergent.Theuseof
detergentwithphosphatemaycausediscolorationofthefiltersbutwillnotaffecttheirperformance.
Thisdiscolorationisnotcoveredbythewarranty.

REPLACINGFILTERS

Shouldfilterswearoutduetoageandprolongeduse,pleasecontactyourservice/partsproviderfor
replacementfilters.NOTE:ALSOREPLACEDAMAGEDFILTERTHATHAVEBEENPUNCTUREDOR
BROKEN.


CLEANINGSTAINLESSSTEELSURFACE

Regularlywashsurfacewithclothorcleanclothsoakedinwarmwaterandmildsoaporliquiddish
detergent.Alwayscleanfollowingthegrainofthematerialandrinsethoroughlywithclearwater(2-3
times)beforewipingcompletely.Speciallydesignedstainlesssteelcleanercanalsobeused.


REPLACINGTHELEDLIGHTBULBS

Cutthepowersupplybyturningthehoodoff.WaitfortheLEDlampstocool.Topreventdamageortoavoid
reducingthelifeofthenewbulb,donottouchthebulbwithyourbarefingers.Replacethebulbby
manipulatingwithatissuepaperorcottongloves.

Ifthenewlightsdonotwork,ensurethateachlampisproperlyinsertedintoitssocketbeforerequesting
theinterventionofaserviceagent.

CAUTION:LEDlampscanonlybereplacedwithanewLEDlamp.Thelampratingmustbeequaltothe
onealreadyused.Makesureallthecontrolswitchesareoffandthehoodisunpluggedorthatthebreaker
isOFF.


STEPS:

•ThisrangehoodusesLEDlightfixture:3WMax12VLED
•MakesuretherangehoodisunpluggedorturnOFFthebreaker.Makesurethelightsarecooltotouch.
•Placeaflat-headscrewdriverbetweenthelighthousingandthehoodbody,gentlypryupthelighthousing
andsearchforthemetalclip.
•Applyforcetothemetalclipandpulloutthelightfixture.Disconnectthepowercableanddiscardthe
usedlightfixture.
•ReversethestepstoinstallanewLEDlightfixture.TurnthebreakerorhoodONtotestforoperation.

5.SERVICEANDWARRANTY

Wewarrantourhoodunderordinaryresidentialuseforone(1)yearagainstdefectsinmaterialsand
workmanshipfromthedateofitsoriginalpurchase.Thislimitedwarrantyappliestoanyin-houserepair
and/orreplacementparts.

Thislimitedin-housewarrantyisnotsubjecttoimproperinstallation,accident,misuse,neglect,fire,or
otherexternalcausessuchasalteration,repairbyunqualifiedpersonnelorcommercialuse.

