2. Safety, Repair and Product Identification
Safety instructions
• Read this manual thoroughly.
• Pay attention to the environment at the installation site. Wear any
required and necessary safety equipment and uphold all national and
local safety regulations.
• Connect may transmit signals that may cause dangerous machinery to
start. It is therefore necessary always to make sure that all connected
machinery and other equipment are turned off effectively for example
by removing main fuses or to turn off main switches or safety switches
before beginning any programming, troubleshooting, maintenance or
other types of service.
• WARNING: There is a risk of electric shocks from the mains terminals
N and L. Avoid touching these while the Connect is being serviced or
repaired.
• WARNING: Incorrect or incomplete installation or use can lead to
physical injury and/or damaged materials!
Physical Installation
MJK Connect Controller and RTU Unit MUST NOT be installed in environ-
ments with danger of explosion.
Repair
Repair may only be performed by MJK or MJK-approved personnel.
Product Identification
Deliveries will normally include a Connect Controller and RTU Unit with an
embedded I/O module and, if required, a communication module.
Check before mounting that the delivered goods correspond to the or-
dered. Part number as well as serial number are printed on labels placed
