MS-B03 Wireless Barcode Scanner
I. Standard Package
1. a handheld scanner;
2. a wireless receiver;
3. a 5v AC/DC power adapter(use only for charging the battery);
4. a user manual.
II. Safety Cautions
Please read the following concise rules. Violation of these rules may result in
hazard or infringement of the law. This guide contains more detailed information
on safety alerts.
Power-on:Please do not turn on the device when wireless device is
prohibited or its operation may cause interference or hazard.
Interference:Wireless devices are apt to be disturbed and adversely affect
the performance.
Rational use:Use the device in the ways described in this guide only.
Maintenance:Only qualified service personnel can assemble or fix the
device.
Attachments and Battery:Use only the authorized attachments and battery.
Do not connect to inconsistent products.
Water-proofing:It is not a waterproof device. Please keep it dry.
Connection to devices:In need of connecting to other devices, please look
through its manual or consult the manufacturer to get enough safety
information. Do not connect to inconsistent devices.
III.Wireless Communication
Working frequency is the universal 2.400-2.483MHz ISM band. Each receiver
corresponds to one handheld scanner. In open ground with absence of obstructions,
the effective transmission distance between handheld scanner and receiver is 10
meters.

IV. Scanner Outside View:
①LED Lamp:
In sleeping mode, the lamp is on and red;
In working mode, the lamp flickers once for reading a barcode;
The lamp is in green when the battery is on charge;
②Scan Window:
Resin filter with dust and scratch-proof design;
In working mode, one press on the trigger initiates a light beam.
③Trigger Button:
To power on the scanner, hold the trigger for 4 seconds and release when a
beep tone sounds;
When working, one press initiates one scan;
To shut down the scanner, hold the trigger for 6 seconds and release when a
beep tone sounds;
Do not press the trigger button by force.
④Buzzer:
Hold the trigger button for 4 seconds and the buzzer makes a beep to indicate

the success of power-on;
When working, the buzzer makes a beep for each successful reading of a
barcode;
A successful sending of a data record also activates a beep sound.
Hold the trigger button for 6 seconds and the buzzer makes a beep to indicate
the success of shutting down;
⑤Standby Battery Bolt:
Design for further fastening battery;
The scanner base itself can fasten the battery quite well, so the bolt is not
mounted until necessary;
If the bolt is mounted,it must be unbolted when replacing a battery.
⑥Charging Port:
Accepts the plug of the 5V AC/DC power adapter(use only for charging the
battery);
Please use the manufacturer authorized power adapter for battery charging
only, or it may cause damage.
⑦Mini USB Receiver
Connect to the data terminal (eg. computer) directly or through an USB
extension cable. It's recommended to use an extension cable for better
reception and protection.
⑧Receiver Code
Used to identify the bonding relationship between scanner and receiver.
V. Battery Charging

1The charging port on the handheld scanner can be only used for battery charging.
Do not connect to other cables.
2The LED lamp on the scanner lights up green on charging and turns out when
battery is full.
3Charging time is approximately 4 hours.
VI. Operation Instructions
1. Connect the receiver to the data terminal (eg. Computer).
2. Turn on the scanner: press the trigger for 4 seconds and release when the buzzer
makes a beep.
3. Read the “RESET” barcode to initialize the scanner.
4. Read the “RS232” barcode.

* If the scanner is not in use for 10 minutes, it will shutoff automatically.
* Scanner and receiver have been well paired. Unless necessary, please don't pair
again.
In case there is a must to re-pair them, please scan first the "RS232" barcode, then
within 5 seconds scan the "PAIR" barcode. The re-pairing is successful if two beeps
sounded.

VII. Trouble Shooting
1Problem:The scanner is humming or beeping.
Cause:Battery is running low.
Solution: Recharge the battery.
2Problem:The scanner squeals and emits no laser beam.
Cause:The scanner is not connected to the data terminal (Computer) or is out of
range.
Solution:Please insert the receiver in the data terminal (Computer) or move
nearer to the data terminal.
3Problem:The scanner works normally but no data displays on the data terminal
(computer).
Cause:The interface setting is not correct.
Solution: Please refer to V. Operation Instruction in this manual for a correct
setting.
4Question: Can the charging port be used to transfer data?
Answer: No. It is only used for charging the battery
5Question:May the radio signal disturb electrical household appliances (eg. TV)?
Answer :In general, the wireless laser scanner use low-power signals below
10dbm and 433MHZ frequency and won’t interfere with other radio
signals.
