Before placing the appliance, follow the instructions below for the correct and safe placement.
Install the wine cellar on even and sturdy surface.
Uneven surface may cause objects in it to fall.
Provide adequate space for air circulation between the
wine cellar and the wall to minimize the operational costs
and to maximize the compressor’s age.
Do not put the wine cellar near the heat source such as
stove, hot plates etc. And avoid placing wine cellar
under direct sunlight which may interfere with the
cooling process.
Do not expose the wine cellar to rain or splashed
water. Using wine cellar that has been exposed to
rainwater will result in electricity leakage. Splashing
water and dirt should be wiped clean with a soft cloth
to prevent rust.
Make sure the voltage is set to 220 volt and the
frequency to 50 Hz and the power outlet is grounded.
Do not use cord extension or branched outlet since it
possess risks of short circuit, overheating and fire.
If the appliance must be installed in a humid
environment, make sure to install a circuit breaker to
avoid short circuit

PART 4 : HOW TO USE

Preparation BeforeUse
•
Open the carton box cover, remove and place the Wine Cellar on a flat surface.
•
Clean the inside of the appliance.
•
Openthe door a while in orderto getair circulation then close itand insert the plug into power socket, the wine
cellar will start.
•
This appliance is designed to be for the built-instand.
•
The appliance is designed specifically for winestorage.
•
Place your wine cooler in the cabinet that is strong enough.
•
Thistooluses aflammable refrigerant. Sodonot ever damage thecooling pipesduringtransport ormovingthe
appliance.
•
Avoid locating the appliance in humid areas.
Operating Instruction
1.
To start
the device : Press "
power key,"the wine display will appear and power indicator will turn on, after
that the device will be on working state; To turn off the device, press the "
"power key then display will turn
off which indicate the device is turnedoff.
2.
For temperature settings: In working condition, press the"
" key for 1.5 seconds, then the digital display will
blink, then press the "
" key or "
" to set the desired temperature (Mostly, ideal wine storage temperature
is 12

C, see the ideal temperature table). After 5 seconds, the display
will stop blinking and startchanging

For lighting function: When theappliance isturned on,press the" " key lights to turn on the interior light, and
click " " key again to turn it off. The interior light is controlled manually, so please turn it offwhen not in use
to reduce power consumption.

Quick start
1.
Child lock key (combined key)
Lock: The key will be locked automatically after power-on or several seconds if no key is
operated, or the key will be locked when the key is pressed for long.
Unlock: To unlock the key, press both keys at the same time for 5s.
2.
Celsius degree/ Fahrenheit degree switchover key (combined key)
Press both keys atthe same time, and then you can switch overbetween the Celsius degree
and Fahrenheit degree for display. Each time the key is pressed, a switchoverwill be made.
When setting the system temperature, it is not allowed to switch over between the Celsius
degree and Fahrenheit degree.
3.
Power on/off key:
1. Press this key for 5S, and then all external power sources will be disconnected and all
external equipment will be turned off, with the cooler in readymode.
2. When the cooler is in the ready mode, press this key, and then the cooler will restore its
normal operation and work under real-time conditions.
4.
Lamp control key and door control switch
The lamp control key is a cycling key: Normally on → Normally off → Normally on. In the
normally-on mode, the lamp will remain lit (at 50% of brightness) when the door is closed,
and at 100% of brightness when the door is open; in the normally-off mode, the lamp will
remain lit at 100% of brightness when the door is open, and will go off when the door is
closed.
Temperature “+” key
1. Functions of temperature “+” key: When the action of this key is detected for the first time,
the LCD screen will indicate the current set temperature in a flashing way and at a certain
interval;atthismoment,thiskey canbe operatedto increase thesettemperatureby 1℃each
time the key is pressed. The LCD screen will indicate the current settemperature
in a flashing way and at a certain interval, and 5s later, if no further action of thiskey is

detected, the setting after adjustment will be memorized, and the screen will exit from the
flashing mode and restore the indication of the set temperature.
2. Rules of temperature adjustment: For example: 5℃(current set temperature)
→6℃→7℃→8℃→. . . . . . →2 0℃.
Temperature “-” key:
1. Functions of temperature “-” key: When the action of this key is detected for the first time,
the LCD screen will indicate the current set temperature in a flashing way and at a certain
interval; at this moment, this key can be operated to decrease the set temperature by 1℃
each time the key is pressed. The LCD screen will indicate the current set temperature in a
flashing way and at a certain interval, and 5s later, if no further action of this key is detected,
the setting after adjustment will be memorized, and the screen will exit from the flashing
mode and restore the indication of the settemperature.
2. Rules of temperature adjustment: For example: 2 0℃(current set temperature) →1
9℃→1 8℃→1 7℃→. 5℃.
Bottle Storage
Themain function of wine cooler is to make surethe wine storage under optimal conditions. At the factory setting,
temperature has been set up into 12
o
C which is a most suitable for the storage temperature. Wine has a complex
characteristic which has a long process in order to express its optimal characteristics, which require specific
environment. All the wines are produced at the same temperature, but according to their different qualities and
taste, it must bestored at different temperatures (View thetable "Ideal wine temperature"). Therefore the absolute
temperature value is not important for the preservation of wine butthe stable temperature that must be concerned
in a certain time. Wine storage at any temperature is ideal, as long as there is notemperaturechanging.
Placing WineBottles
This wine cooler is recommended to store until 24 bottles (standard, hybrid and Rhenish wine bottles) so it can be visible
and easy to move. Each shelf can contain 6 wine bottles and also it can put 6 larger bottles in the bottom of wine cooler.
Placing ChampagneBottles
Champagne bottles has larger size than others so it must be placed in the bottom of wine cooler, so it can be stacked 5
bottles inside the wine cooler. To put more than five bottles of champagne, please remove all the shelves, and then place
the bottle into two piles, so it can fit into 9 bottles inside the wine cooler

Do not pull on the cable from the wine cellar’s power cord from the outlet.
•
Please clean the condenser once every two years (cooler back surface of the metal mesh) and the interior once a year.
Please pull out the power plug and empty wine cooler when cleaning process, then scrub gently with a damp cloth.
•
Wine cooler surface condensationmay occur especiallyonglass door surface inmoistureenvironmentorinthe
rain. If this happens, please use a dry cloth to dry the surface.
•
In order to ensure the long-term normal usage of wine cooler, please check the function regularly and if there is any
abnormal usage, please notify the MODENA Call Center.
First timeusage
•
Clean the wine cooler interior.
•
After cleaning and placing the wine cooler, let stand for 30 minutes then power on the device.
During a power outage
•
Unplug the power cord.
•
Re-plug the power cord 10-15 minutes after the power is back on.
Left unused for a long period of time
•
Unplug the power cord.
•
Remove all objects in the compartment
•
Clean the inside of the compartment
•
Leave the door open to completely dry the compartment and prevent fungi or bad smell
PART 5 : MAINTENANCE
NOTE
For optimum performance and prolong the lifetime, it should always pay attention for product maintenance. Please
turn off the power and unplug the power cord before maintenance

Relocation
•
Unplug the power cord.
•
When moving the wine cellar, make sure not to damage the power cord.
•
Avoid hitting the stairs, doorways, etc.
•
Make sure that the content in the wine cellar bulkhead vacated or given on an empty space with foam.
Please inspect the following tables before contacting the MODENA Call Center in the event of operational
disturbance:

PART 6 : TROUBLESHOOTING

Read these safety instructions carefully. Save this manual book for easy use if necessary.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made
by children without supervision.
Do not let the power cord pinched / compressed by the appliance itself or by heavy objects.
Do not bend the power cord excessively. If the cable is damaged or flaking, it may cause fire and electric
shock.
Do not plug the power cord into the other one with T junction. This can be a cause of overheating and fire.
Use an outlet with a grounding path specifically for this wine cellar and easily accessible.
Never hold the power cord with wet hands. There is a possibility of electric shock.
Never use a power cord that is damaged or loose outlet. There is risk of fire, electric shock or serious injury.
Make sure your appliance has been grounded. Check if you are using a grounded outlet or not. There is a risk of
electric shock if your outlet is not grounded.
Never unplug the power cord by pulling the cord. Always unplug the plug head.
Let wires dangling down from the wall socket. If directed upward, at the end of the plug wires to be bent and
broken, which may result in electric shock.
Do not use the appliance in a room with a wet floor or in a place with high humidity levels. The things above
can weaken the electrical insulation and can result in electrical shock hazard.
Do not let the power cord near, pass or touch the heat source. This can cause damage to the power cord or
electrical shock hazard.
Check the plug, if the plug is loose when mounted directly on the outlet, it may weaken electrical insulation,
which can result in electrical shock hazard.
Do not spray or pour water into the interior or exterior of the appliance. It can weaken electrical insulation and

Do not put glass or container of water on the appliance. Water spill can cause electric shock or damage.
Do not let children hang from the door of the appliance. The appliance may fall and harm the children.
Do not move the pockets / shelf compartment while occupied with bottles. Heavy object (objects of glass or
metal) can fall and can cause damage to the shelf / rack and the other interior parts.
Do not attempt to repair, remove or modify your appliance. This can result in the risk of injury or damage to your
appliance. Only experienced technicians are allowed to fix this cooling appliance.

Do not use flammable gas, gasoline, paint thinner, kerosene, or spray near the appliance. The things above
may result in the risk of fire, explosion, accident or damage to the appliance.
Do not store the medicine or academic research samples which require precise and stable temperature in the
appliance.
Never let your hand / finger touch the back / bottom of the appliance. This can cause injury by sharp metal
edge of the appliance sharp or electric shock.
Do not try to replace power cord, fuse or bulb by yourself. Please contact the MODENA Call Center or your
nearest service agent to replace it immediately.
When you find that the appliance power cord is damaged or broken, contact MODENA Call Center or your
nearest service agent to replace it immediately.
When you dispose the appliance, make sure to remove the door first. Children can get stuck inside and can
suffocate in a appliance that still has a door
Make sure that when the conditions are built in, the appliance has sufficient ventilation and unobstructed.
Do not use mechanical devices or other equipment to speed up the process of melting / defrost.
Do not use / insert electronic equipment into a beverage or other accessories that are inside the
appliance.
Do not use cleaning tools with flammable liquids.
Do not use flammable materials, explosive or corrosive materials such as paint thinner, gas or acid to clean
the refrigerator or keep them in the wine cellar.
