To reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock, or injury: Know your
blower. Read the instruction manual carefully. Learn
the blow er’s applicat ions and limit at ions, as well as
the specific pot ent ial hazards relat ed t o t his blower.
Following this rule will reduce t he risk of electric

use with any opening blocked; keep openings
free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may
reduce air flow.
•Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts
of body aw ay from openings and moving parts.
Loose clot hes, jewelry, or long hair can be draw n
int o air vent s.
•Secure long hair above shoulder level to
prevent entanglement in moving parts.
•Use extra care w hen cleaning on stairs.
•If the blow er is not w orking as it should, has
been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or
dropped into w ater, return it to a service center.
•Do not operate blowers in explosive
atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Blow ers
create sparks which may ignite the dust or
fumes.
•Use only the charger supplied by the
manufacturer to recharge.
•Do not charge the battery pack outdoors.
•Do not charge the battery pack in rain or in wet
locations.
•Use the battery-operated blower only with

from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins,
keys, nails, screw s or other small metal objects,
that can make a connection from one terminal
to another. Shorting the battery terminals
together may cause burns or a fire.
•Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from the battery; avoid contact. If cont act
accident ally occurs, flush w it h w at er. If liquid
cont acts eyes, addit ionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the bat t ery may cause
irritation or burns.

hard hat, or hearing prot ection must be used for
appropriat e condit ions.
•Always wear eye protection w ith side shields
marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1 along with
hearing protection when operating this
equipment. Everyday glasses have only impact
resistant lenses. They are NOT safety glasses.
Following t his rule w ill reduce the risk of eye

on or off. A blow er t hat cannot be cont rolled

3
with t he sw it ch is dangerous and must be
repaired.
•Detach the battery pack from the blower before
making any adjustments, changing accessories,
or storing the blow er. Such prevent ive safety
measures reduce the risk of st art ing the blow er
accident ally.
•Turn off all controls before removing the
battery.
•DO NOT attempt to clear clogs from the unit
without first removing the battery.
•Check for misalignment or binding of moving
parts, breakage of parts, and any other
condition that may affect the blow er’s
operation. If damaged, have the blow er
serviced before using. M any accident s are
caused by poorly maint ained blowers.
•Keep the blower and its handle dry, clean and
free from oil and grease. Alw ays use a clean
clot h when cleaning. Never use brake fluids,
gasoline, petroleum-based products, or any
st rong solvent s t o clean your blow er. Following
this rule will reduce the risk of loss of cont rol and
deteriorat ion of the enclosure plastic.
