Wir wünschen Ihnen viel Spaß mit Ihrem neuen img
Stage Line Selbstbausatz für ein Flight Case. Für eine
einfacheMontagebeachtenSiebittesämtlicheHinweise
in dieser Montageanleitung und gehen in der angegebe-
nen Reihenfolge vor.
Der Bausatz enthält alle benötigten Bauteile. Diese
sind bereits auf das richtige Maß zugeschnitten.
1 Zum Zusammenbau werden
benötigt:
•Blindnietenzange
•Bohrmaschine
•Spiralbohrer (1,5mm, 4,3mm, 5,2mm, 6,0mm)
•Hammer
•Metallfeile
•Zollstock oder Bandmaß
•Holzleim
2 Holzplatten
1) Um zu sehen, wie die Platten richtig zusammenge-
setzt werden und welche Kanten verleimt werden
müssen, zuerst alle Holzplatten provisorisch zurecht-
legen.
2) Den Boden mit den entsprechenden Seitenteilen und
den Deckel mit den dazugehörigen Seitenteilen ver-
binden. Dazu 1,5mm-Löcher für die Nägel vorboh-
ren. Die Platten verleimen und zusammennageln.
Den Leim trocknen lassen.
3) Eventuelle Zwischenfächer festleimen. Keine Nägel
verwenden, da diese nicht durch Profilleisten abge-
deckt werden. Zur Feststellung der richtigen Mon-
tageposition eventuell die zugeschnittenen Schaum-
stoffpolster zu Hilfe nehmen.
3 Winkelprofilleisten für Boden
und Deckel
1) Die Winkelprofilleisten (1) auf die Kanten des Bodens
und des Deckels mittig anlegen. Rechts und links
muß gleichviel Platz zu den Ecken bleiben. Hier wer-
den später die seitlichen Winkelprofilleisten (2)
zwischengesetzt.
2) DieLöcher der Winkelaufden Holzteilenanzeichnen.
3) 4,3 mm-Löcher bohren. Die Winkel mit den dünnen
Blindnieten befestigen. Für eine saubere Vernietung
muß immer ein ausreichender, gleichmäßiger
Druck auf die Blindnietenzange ausgeübt werden.

4 Schließprofile und Winkelprofil-
leisten für die Seitenteile
Die Schließprofile werden auf die Stoßkanten von
Deckel und Bodenteil angebracht. Sie sind mit 45° abge-
winkelt und bestehen aus einem männlichen Teil (4) für
den Boden und einem weiblichen Teil (3) für den Deckel.
Wenn für das Flight Case Einbau-Verschlüsse und
Einbau-Scharniere verwendet werden, sind die entspre-
chenden Schließprofile an der Seite, wo der Verschluß
und das Scharnier später montiert wird, gerade abge-
sägt.Achten Sie darauf, daß diese Schließprofile an den
Stellen montiert werden, wo sich später der Verschluß
bzw. das Scharnier befindet.
1) Die Ecken der Schließprofile mit einer Metallfeile ent-
graten.
2) Die Schließprofile auf die Kanten legen. Die Befesti-
gung erfolgt durch die beiliegenden Winkel (5). Diese
Befestigungswinkel auf die Schließprofile legen, und
die Befestigungslöcher anzeichnen.
3) Nur durch den äußeren Schenkel des Schließprofils
und durch das Holz 4,3mm-Löcher bohren. So blei-
ben die Innenseiten der Schließprofile glatt.
4) Die seitlichen Winkelprofilleisten (2) anlegen.
5) Mit den dünnen Blindnieten die Befestigungswinkel
und damit gleichzeitig die Schließprofile festnieten.
6) Eventuell die seitlichen Winkelprofilleisten (2) eben-
falls vernieten.
Bei Gehäusen mit einer geringen Höhe werden diese
Winkelprofilleisten nur durch die Befestigungswinkel
(5) und der anschließenden Montage der Kugelecken
gehalten.
5 Kugelecken
1) Die Kugelecken auf je eine Gehäuseecke legen. Die
Löcher anzeichnen.
2) 5,2mm-Löcher bohren.
3) Die Kugelecken mit den dickeren Blindnieten befesti-
gen. Für eine feste Verbindung beim Nieten die
Ecken gut andrücken.
6 Verschlüsse und Scharniere
Je nach Flight Case Modell sind die Verschlüsse und
Scharniere zum Aufsetzen (Aufbau) oder zum versenk-
ten Einbau vorhanden.
Die Flight Cases für 19”-Geräte sind mit zwei
abnehmbaren Deckeln ausgestattet. Diese müssen
gegeneinander austauschbar sein. Hier zuerst Ver-
schluß und Scharniere an einer Seite des Flight Case'
und an einem Deckel montieren. Danach Verschluß und
Scharniere auf der zweiten Seite des Flight Case' eben-
falls paßgenau für den ersten Deckel anbringen. Zuletzt
Verschluß und Scharniere paßgenau am zweiten Deckel
festnieten.

6.1 Aufbau-Verschluß und Aufbau-
Scharniere
Der Verschluß und die Scharniere bestehen aus zwei
Teilen, jedoch nicht das 90°-Stoppscharnier bei einigen
Modellen.
1) Das kleinere Teil (6) vom Verschluß bzw. vom Schar-
nier immer am Deckel befestigen.
2) Die Löcher (4,3mm) für die Nieten nur durch die
äußeren Schenkel der Schließprofile und durch das
Holz bohren. So bleiben die Innenseiten der
Schließprofile glatt.
3) Alle Teile mit den dünnen Blindnieten befestigen.
6.2 Einbau-Verschluß und Einbau-
Scharniere
Der Verschluß und die Scharniere werden in die Aus-
sparungen von Deckel und Gehäuse eingesetzt.
1) Die Löcher (5,2mm) für die Nieten nur durch die
äußeren Schenkel der Schließprofile und durch das
Holz bohren. So bleiben die Innenseiten der Schließ-
profile glatt.
2) Den Verschluß mit den dickeren Blindnieten befesti-
gen.
3) Die Scharniere nach derAbbildung zusammensetzen
und mit den dickeren Blindnieten montieren.
7 Griffe
Je nach Flight Case Modell werden die Griffe auf das
Gehäuse geschraubt (Aufbau) oder versenkt festge-
nietet (Einbau).
7.1 Aufbau-Griffe
1) 5,2 mm-Befestigungslöcher bohren.
2) Den Griff mit der beiligenden Befestigung sowie den
M5-Schrauben, Scheiben und Muttern montieren.
3) Zum Schluß die Kunststoffkappen auf die Griffbefe-
stigung stecken.
7.2 Einbau-Griffe
1) Die Einbau-Griffe in die seitlichenAussparungen des
Gehäuses einsetzen.
2) Die Befestigungslöcher anzeichnen.
3) 4,3mm-Löcherbohren, und die Griffemit den dünnen
Blindnieten befestigen.
Je nach Flight Case Modell sind verschiedene Zusatz-
teile zu montieren:

8 Befestigungsschienen für
19"-Geräte
Die Schienen werden gleich hinter dem Schließprofil
montiert.
1) 6mm-Befestigungslöcher bohren.
2) Die beiliegenden Käfigmuttern vor der Befestigung in
die Schienen einschieben. Pro Höheneinheit werden
2Muttern auf jeder Seite benötigt (z.B. bei 4 HE =
8Muttern pro Schiene).
3) Die Schienen mit den beiliegenden Schrauben
(M6 x 25mm) befestigen.
9 Füße
Bei Bedarf das Flight Case mit Füßen versehen.
10 Schaumstoff
Alle Schaumstoffteile sind selbstklebend.
1) Zuerst alle langen Seitenteile bekleben.
2) Danach alle kurzen Seitenteile auspolstern.
3) Zum Schluß die Boden- und Deckelflächen ausklei-
den.

Instruction Manual
Before you start . . .
We wish you much pleasure with your new img Stage
Lineflightcaserackkit.Foraneasyassemblypleasefol-
lowallinstructionsofthismanualandpayattention to the
order of instructions.
This kit includes all necessary components which are
already cut to the correct sizes.
1 The following tools are required
for assembly:
•Rivet tool
•Drilling machine
•Twist drill (1.5mm, 4.3mm, 5.2mm, 6.0mm)
•Hammer
•Metal file
•Yardstick or tape rule
•Wood glue
2 Wood Panels
1) Positionall woodpanelsin suchaway sothatyou can
see how they have to be fitted and which edges have
to be glued.
2) Mount the corresponding side panels to the bottom
and to the cover by pre-drilling 1.5 mm holes for the
nails. Glue the panels together and insert the nails.
Let the glue dry.
3) If desired, glue-on compartments. Do not use any
nails since they will not be covered by the profile
edges. In order to find out the best mounting position
you can use the precut foam pads as an aid.
3 Angle Profile Edges for the
Bottom and Cover
1) Position the angle profile edges (1) on the center of
the bottom and cover edges. The distance to the
edges has to be the same on the left and right side.
Later on, the lateral angle profile edges (2) will be in-
serted at these positions.
2) Mark the holes of the angle profile edges on the wood
panels.
3) Drill4.3 mm holes.Fixthe angle profileedgeswith the
thin rivets. Always apply sufficient and equal pres-
sure to the rivet tool in order to obtain good riveting.

4 Locking Profiles and Angle Pro-
file Edges for the Side Panels
The locking profiles are fixed to the joint edges of the
cover and bottom. They are angled with 45° and consist
of a male component (4) for the bottom and a female
component (3) for the cover.
If locks and hinges are used for the flight case, the
corresponding locking profiles are cut off straight at the
side at which the lock and the hinge are going to be
installed. Pay attention that these locking profiles are
installed at those positions at which the lock resp. the
hinge is going to be installed.
1) Debur the edges of the locking profiles with a metal
file.
2) Lay the locking profiles onto the edges. Fix them with
the supplied corner brackets (5). Place these corner
brackets on the locking profiles and make marks for
the mounting holes.
3) Then drill 4.3mm holes only through the outer side of
the locking profile and the wood. Thus, the insides of
the locking profiles remain smooth.
4) Position the lateral angle profile edges (2).
5) Rivet the fixing corner brackets and thus at the same
time the locking profiles with the thin rivets.
6) If necessary, also rivet the lateral angle profile edges
(2).
For housings with small heights, these angle profile
edges will be fixed by the corner brackets (5) and the
subsequent mounting of the ball corners only.
5 Ball Corners
1) Placetheball corners on the housingedges.Mark the
positions for the holes.
2) Drill 5.2 mm holes.
3) Fasten the ball corners with the larger rivets. In order
to obtain a securely fastened ball corner, press onto
them while riveting.
6 Locks and Hinges
According to the flight case model, the locks and hinges
are either designed for standard or recessed installation.
The flight cases for 19” units are equipped with two
removablecoverswhich must be interchangeable.Inthis
case, first fasten the lock and hinges on one side of the
flight case and on the cover. Afterwards, fasten the lock
and hinges on the second side of the flight case so that
they match exactly to the first cover. Finally, rivet the lock
and hinges on the second cover so that they also match
exactly.

6.1 Standard Locks and Hinges
The lock and hinges consist of two parts except the 90°
strut hinge of some models.
1) Always fix the smaller part (6) of the lock resp. hinge
to the cover.
2) Drill the holes (4.3mm) for the rivets only through the
outer side of the locking profile and the wood. Thus,
the insides of the locking profiles remain smooth.
3) Fasten all components with the thin rivets.
6.2 Recessed Locks and Hinges
The lock and hinges are inserted into the recesses of the
cover and the housing.
1) Drill the holes (5.2mm) for the rivets only through the
outer side of the locking profile and the wood. Thus,
the insides of the locking profiles remain smooth.
2) Fasten the lock with the larger rivets.
3) Mountthehingesaccordingtothedrawingandfasten
them with the larger rivets.
7 Handles
According to the flight case model, the handles are
screwed onto the housing (standard mounting) or are
riveted into the recess (recessed mounting).
7.1 Standard Handles
1) Drill 5.2mm mounting holes.
2) Mount the handle with the supplied fastening as well
as the M5 screws, washers and nuts.
3) Finally, slip the plastic caps onto the handle fixture.
7.2 Recessed Handles
1) Insert the recessed handles into the lateral housing
recesses.
2) Mark the mounting holes.
3) Drill4.3 mm holesandfasten the handleswiththe thin
rivets.

8 Mounting Rails for 19” Units
The rails are installed exactly behind the locking profile.
1) Drill 6mm mounting holes.
2) Insert the supplied cage nuts into the rails before
fixing. Each rack space requires 2 nuts on each side
(e.g. for 4 rack spaces = 8 nuts per rail).
3) Fasten the rails with the supplied screws (M6 x
25mm).
9 Feet
If desired, equip the flight case with feet.
10 Foam Pads
All foam pads are self-adhesive.
1) At first, fix the foam pads to the long side panels.
2) Afterwards, cushion all short side panels.
3) Finally, line the bottom and cover areas.
