Log Placement Instructions
Model: AVFL60DLS
WARNING: Turn off replace and allow to cool complete-
ly before beginning installation. DO NOT use this option
kit with any other internal hearth option such as stones.
Kit Contents:
• Three (3) driftwood logs
• Four (4) log support pin brackets
• Four (4) #8 bracket mounting screws
NOTE: Do not handle logs with your bare hands. Always
wear gloves to prevent skin irritation from log material.
After handling the logs, wash your hands with soap and water
to remove any traces of bers.
NOTE: Prior to installing the log set, you must rst install
the pin brackets on the burner. The air deection glass and
reglass should only be installed after the pin brackets are
in place. The air deection glass should be installed prior
to placing reglass on the burner. For proper air deection
and reglass placement, please refer to the Owner’s and

Installation Manuals. The logs must then be placed in the unit
after the reglass and air deection glass. If the optional logs
are added to the AVFL60 after installation of deective glass
and reglass, move the reglass away from the pin location
holes on the engine base as per Figure 1.
1. Mount the four log support pin brackets using mounting
holes and screws provided in locations indicated in Figure
1 for the two rear logs. Only 1 hole of the pin bracket
will be used to secure the pin to the rear of the engine
base. The front hole remains unused and rests on the
mesh area. Then arrange reglass evenly across the
burner again. NOTE that the front log can be positioned
anywhere within the area designated on the front hearth
as indicated in Figure 1.

2. Place the left rear log (#1) by aligning the holes in the
bottom of the log with the two pins at the back left of the
burner. See Figure 2.
3. Place the right rear log (#2) by aligning the holes in the
bottom of the log with the two pins at the right rear of the
burner.
4. Place the front log (#3) within the area shown in Figure
2. NOTE that the front log should be placed against the
back of the deection glass and should not be close to
the burner area or come into contact with any ame.
