REMOVALE:
Step #1) Turn off turn off main power, turn off machine.
Step #2) Unscrew the screws around the boarder of the HMI. Unplug the
communication cables and power. Take a Picture before unplugging any
cables, so when you install the HMI back into your machine you will know
where the cables attach.
Step #3) Remove I/O Card.
Take the HMI off
the machine by
unscrewing each
screws that board
the interface.

Step #4) Remove the 4 nuts that hold your CRT Monitor.
Step #5) Open the back cover & remove the power cable.
Step #6) Open the front cover by unscrewing the four screws
holding in place.
Step #7) Unplug Video cable from the video card. Remove the
video circuit board to give you access to remove the monitor.

Step #8) Remove the monitor out of the HMI.
INSTALLATION:
Step 9) Take the Monitech monitor out of the box and
mount it on to the machine using the holes that was
holding the CRT in place. Use the nuts that held the CRT in
place to fasten to the Monitech Monitor.
Our LCD Upgrade has 4
standoffs that match the
holes previously holding
the CRT in place.

Step 10) Depending your application, use the following 2 options to
power up your Monitech Monitor.
Option #1) Try this method first. Connect the MAP331 to the power
supply of the FAGOR 8025/8020.
Option #2) If option 1 does not work. Use MAP335. Cut & Strip both red
wires and crimp to red butt connectors of MAV335. Screw in the ground
wire as shown. Connect the black side of MAP335 into MAP307, then
connect the power jack into your Monitech Monitor.

Step 11) Screw in the (green) ground wire to the Power Supply board
of the Fagor in the location shown. Install power supply as shown in
pictures.
Step 12) Attach video cable (MAV116) and connect clip to ground
terminal (JP5), or C13 or J6. Then Connect the VGA side of MAV116
into your Monitech Monitor.

Step 13) Reassemble the Unit. Put the I/O board back in. Attach the
power supply back on the HMI. Fasten the video circuit board back on
the HMI.
OR. Connect grounding clip to JP6
OR. Connect grounding clip to C13

Make sure you have a video signal.
Once you have mounted your new Monitech LCD into
your control panel with the video and power cables
attached, the monitor will power up automatically. It
should also start receiving the video signal from your
machine. If you are getting no video signal, your screen
will be blue. Make sure the video cable is secured or
unplug and reinsert.
Press the MENU button.
Now that you have your video signal, use the 3 buttons on
the back of the LCD to optimize the video for your specific
machine. Press MENU to open the menu.
Step 14) Before you re attach the front cover and attach the Fagor HMI
back into your machine. Test the unit by giving it power. Make
adjustments the image using these options from your menu of the
Monitech Monitor.

Press MENU again to select an item. When the item is
selected, it will turn red. Press or to adjust
values. Press MENU again to go back to the list and use
the arrows to move up and down in the list. As long as
you are getting a video signal, your settings will be
automatically saved.
When you press MENU, you will see this:
The picture shows the default values for each item.
The bottom line (Info) shows specific values for your
machine’s video signals. NOTE: If the Info values show
00.00, there is no video signal. Again, verify that the
video cable is secured before you do anything else.

Fine-tune your video image.
To size your video image, focus on the first five items.
WIDTH
This is a very useful setting: use it to adjust the width
of the video on your screen. Use it as well to eliminate
vertical lines. The range is -99 to +99.
HEIGHT
The height defaults to 00 and the range is 00 to +99.
H POSITION (HORIZONTAL)
The default value is 00. The range is -99 to +99.
V POSITION (VERTICAL)
Defaults to 00. The range is 00 to +99.
PHASE
After you use the WIDTH setting, some vertical lines may
still be present. Use this setting to eliminate them entirely.
STYLE
RGB (A) is the default. If you are using this LCD as a
monochrome and want a black and white screen instead of
green, change the style to YUV. RGB (D) is also available.
SYNC
This setting automatically detects what you are using.
You can adjust to Separate (UV), Composite (S) or SOG
(sync-on-green).

RESISTANCE
750 Ω is the default. If your video is saturated or text is
“blooming” like the image on the left, change it to 75 Ω.
BEFORE
AFTER
SCANNING
Defaults to Progressive and rarely needs adjustment.
RESOLUTION
Defaults to 800x600. If the video still won’t fit on the
screen after adjusting the WIDTH setting, change the
resolution to 640x480.
EXIT + SAVE
The menu will exit and save automatically after 20 seconds.
If you are in a hurry, you can select this item manually.
Tips to optimize your image
My screen is blue.
This means the LCD is getting no video signal from the
machine. Reseat the video connector and secure it.
I cannot see a right or left edge of the image.
Select WIDTH and adjust down until you can see the right
edge of your video. Now you can adjust the whole screen
until you see what you need to see.
