The shredder is designed for a maximum use time of 1 minute. Please allow the motor
to cool for approximately 30 minutes after 1 minute use.
The motor will switch itself o automatically when overloaded. Unplug at the mains
and ensure that the sliding switch is set to AUTO. Allow the motor to cool o at room
temperature for approximately 30 minutes before you plug the shredder back in.
Continue shredding.
Please avoid overloading the motor, for example, by inserting more paper than advi-
sed into the shredder. This can lead to other defects such as damage to the internal
rollers.
5.1 Only connect the shredder to the mains indoors, using a professionally instal-
led 230 V socket with protective conductor contact. This must be close to the
shredder and easily accessible in order to enable disconnection by pulling
the mains plug in the event of an emergency. Adapter plugs or extension
cables must also be tted with a protective contact and must be easily acces-
sible in order to enable disconnection from the mains power in the event of
an emergency.

machine itself are damaged. Risk of injury.
5.7 Do not overload the socket with more than its recommended capacity.
5.8 Do not make any modications to the mains cable as it is designed for the
specied mains voltage.

metal parts that can be touched and which could become live in the event of
a fault.
10. Storage

being used. Keep the machine dry and away from heat sources.
11. Disposal
The product packaging is made from recyclable materials. Dispose of this packaging in
an environment-friendly way. Do not dispose of the shredder, at the end of its useful life,
with domestic waste. By law, it must be correctly disposed of so that recyclable substances
contained in the shredder can be reused, protecting the environment. Please contact your
local authorities to nd out about appropriate facilities near you. Before disposing of it,
make the shredder unusable. Disconnect the shredder from the mains supply and remove
the power cable from the machine.
3.1 Before you use the shredder for the rst time, please read the user guide through
carefully.
3.2 This machine has been designed to shred paper. Please use it only for this pur-
pose and as described in the instructions.

do not shred more sheets than specied (max. 5 sheets of 80 g/m2).

NB: Failure to comply with these safety symbols may cause serious physical harm! If an object
(bracelet, tie etc.) does accidentally enter the feed slot, unplug at the mains immediately!

loose clothing away from
the area of the inlet slot!

securely on top of the bin.
6.3 Now plug in the shredder.
6.4 Set the sliding switch 1to AUTO. The READY/ON will light up.
6.5 Feed the paper through the feed slot 5into the cutter. Ensure that the paper is
inserted centrally and straight. Before inserting the paper, remove all metal items
(staples, paper clips etc.) from the paper.
In the middle of the feed slot there is a sensor 6that is activated as soon as you
insert paper. Therefore always insert smaller paper sizes centrally.
If the sliding switch is set to AUTO, the machine will switch itself o automati-
cally as soon as the paper has been shredded.
6.5 If you do not work with the machine switch the sliding to OFF. The READY/ON lamp
goes out.
Ensure that you empty the bin regularly.
8. Maintenance and care of your shredder
Caution! Read the guide! Not for disposal with
domestic waste
Clearing a paper jam:
If too much paper is fed into the cutter, this will cause a paper jam. To clear the paper
jam:
- Set the slide switch into the REV position. The cutter will then run backwards or
forwards and push the excess paper out.
- Reduce the quantity of paper being fed in, and switch back on to AUTO.
- If the paper blockage cannot be cleared, unplug the shredder and remove the resi-
dual paper manually from the cutter.
The shredder does not switch itself o automatically:
If the sliding switch is set to REV (e.g. when there is a paper jam), it is possible that
there is still some residual paper present under the paper sensor. Do not set the sliding
switch back to AUTO as the shredder cannot switch itself o automatically.
In most cases, residual scraps of paper can be cleared by inserting another sheet of paper
into the feed slot. If the shredder still will not switch o on its own, proceed as follows:
- Unplug at the mains and turn the machine over.
- Remove the residual scraps of paper carefully from the feed slot using tweezers etc.
Please ensure that you do not damage the blades.
8.1 Unplug at the mains before you clean the shredder.
8.2 Clean the shredder only with a damp cloth.
8.3 Do not try to repair this shredder yourself. We cannot accept liability for injury
caused by improper handling.
8.4 The shredder is maintenance-free and special oil must not be used on the cutter.
