Quick Start Guide
Step 1 HAVA Titanium Setup
UNPACK: Check that your package includes the following.
HAVA Titanium Unit 2 Composite A/V Ca le
Power Supply IR Blaster Ca le Hava Software CD
2 Component Ca les USB Dongle this Quick-Start Guide.

TESTING YOUR POWER SUPPLY:
Connect the power supply cord to the back of your HAVA unit and the power adapter to a power source
Take note that the power LED illuminates (the first LED to the right)
CONNECT USB DONGLE :
Connect USB Dongle to either USB port on the back panel of Hava Titanium
“Ready” LED, (2nd light from left) is steady ON when
HAVA is ready It takes about one minute after
plugging HAVA in for this light to stay on

Step 2 Connect to your Video signal
COMPONENT CABLE CONNECTION:
Use the Component Cable (not included) to connect one end from the available Y, Pb, Pr outputs on
your Cable/Satellite box to the HD Component Input on your HAVA For audio use the composite
cable, but don’t connect the video input

Green = Y
Blue = Pb
Red = Pr
Connect to video source
Connect to TV (if needed)

COMPOSITE CABLE CONNECTION:
Use the included Composite Cable to connect one end from the available outputs on your Cable/Satellite
box to the inputs labeled “A/V In” on your HAVA unit

S-VIDEO CONNECTION:

Use an S-Video Cable (not supplied) to connect one end from the S-Video ut on your Cable/Satellite
box to the S-Video Input on your HAVA For audio, use the composite connection (Step 2 1), but don’t
connect the video input

Step 3 Connect the Infrared (IR) Blaster

! The IR blaster cable allows HAVA to send commands to your video device, just like a remote Make
sure you properly connect the IR blaster cable before you install the HAVA software so that the Setup
Wizard and Player can control your device
CONNECTING TO YOUR HAVA
Connect the IR blaster cable to the IR blaster port on the back of your HAVA

IR Blaster Ca le Connection:
Locate the IR receiver on the video device you wish to operate Place the IR emitter so that it faces the IR
sensor on the device (see diagram) Run the Setup Wizard to test Remote Control commands IR Emitter
position may need to be adjusted prior to affixing it to the device Two emitters are provided and each
emitter controls one single device
Finding the infrared sensor
The IR sensor is on the front of your cable / satellite / DVR box Often you can locate it by using your
remote and seeing the flashing sensor light it activates

Step 4 Install HAVA Software
INSTALL THE SOFTWARE:
Insert the supplied HAVA CD into your computer to run the installation Software will prompt you to run
Setup Wizard. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the setup process
The HAVA Setup Wizard is designed to take you to the configuration process step-by-step This include
set-up of your network setting, video/audio setting and your device settings

Free software updates will be made available on the HAVA Multimedia website

! MCE Users (Windows Media Center Edition) will need to run the MCE TV signal setup to operate
HAVA with MCE, please refer to the MCE section of on-line help of Setup Wizard
