1.Leesdezegebruiksaanwijzingzorgvuldigdoorvoordatuhetapparaatgaatgebruiken.Bewaar
degebruiksaanwijzingomdezeindiennodigtekunnenraadplegen.
2.Gebruikhetapparaatuitsluitendzoalsindezegebruiksaanwijzingstaatbeschreven.
3.Controleerofdeaangegevennetspanningophetapparaatovereenkomtmetdeplaatselijke
netspanningvoordatuhetapparaataansluit.
4.Ditapparaatdienttewordenaangeslotenopeengeaardstopcontact.
5.Controleerregelmatigofhetapparaatintactis.Gebruikhetapparaatnietindiende
stroomkabelofdestekkerbeschadigdis,ofwanneerenigonderdeelvanhetapparaatis
gevallenofbeschadigdisgeraakt.Indiendestroomkabelbeschadigdis,moetuhetlaten
vervangendoorVandenBergProductsofeendoorVandenBergProductsgeautoriseerd
servicecentrumomgevaartevoorkomen.
6.Repareeromgevarentevermijdenhetapparaatnooitzelf.
7.Ditapparaatisnietgeschiktvoorgebruikdoorkinderenofpersonenmetverminderde
lichamelijke,zintuiglijkeofgeestelijkevermogens,ofdiegebrekaanervaringofkennis
hebben,tenzijiemanddieverantwoordelijkisvoorhunveiligheidtoezichtophenhoudtof
henheeftuitgelegdhoehetapparaatdienttewordengebruikt.Nauwlettendtoezichtis
vereistalshetapparaatinnabijheidvankinderen,huisdierenofplantenwordtgebruikt.
8.Laatkinderennooitmethetverpakkingsmateriaalspelen,erbestaatverstikkingsgevaar.
9.Laathetapparaatnooitonbeheerdachteralsdestekkerinhetstopcontactzit.

destroomkabelnietomscherperandenofhoeken.
14.Laatdestroomkabelnietopenigewijzeknikkenofomkrullen.
15.Houdhetapparaat,destekkerendestroomkabeluitdebuurtvanvuurenhete
oppervlakken.
16.GebruikgeenaccessoiresdienietzijnaanbevolendoorVandenBergProducts,inhet
bijzondergeenaccessoiresdienietbijhetapparaatzijngeleverd.

Voorgebruik
1.Verwijderalleverpakkingsmaterialen.
2.Controleerhetapparaatopeventuelebeschadigingen.Gebruikhetapparaatnietindiende
stroomkabelofdestekkerbeschadigtis.
3.Reinighetapparaatmeteenvochtigedoekeneventueelwatreinigingsmiddel(ziehiervoor
ookdeparagraaf"onderhoudenreiniging").
4.Laathetlegeapparaatvoordeeersteingebruiknameeenkeergoedvoorverwarmen.Sluit
hiervoorhetdekselenplaatsdestekkerinhetstopcontact.Zetdetemperatuurknopopde
hoogstestand(MAX).Hetrodeindicatielampjelichtopomaantegevendathetapparaatis
ingeschakeld.Laathetapparaatongeveer10minutenopwarmen.Draaidetemperatuurknop
vervolgensnaardelaagstestand(MIN.)enhaaldestekkeruithetstopcontact.Laathet
apparaatmethetdekselopenvolledigafkoelen.Wrijfdebakplaten,zodradezezijnafgekoeld,
goedschoonmetkeukenpapierofeenzachtedoek.
Letop:wanneeruhetapparaatvoordeeerstekeergebruikt,kanerwatrookvande

THEUSE
Takecare:avoidtouchingthebakingplatesduringuse,theybecomeveryhot!
Beforeuse:
1.Removeallpackagingmaterials.
2.Checkthedeviceforpossibledamage.Donotusethedeviceincasethepowercordorplugis
damaged.
3.Cleanthedevice,ifnecessary,withawetclothandsomedetergent(alsoseetheparagraph
"maintenanceandcleaning").
4.Preheatthedevice,withoutbatter,thoroughlybeforefirstuse.Closethelidandputtheplug
intheplug‐socket.Turnthetemperaturecontrolknobtothehighestlevel(MAX).Thered
indicatorlightwilllightuptoindicatethatthedevicehasbeenswitchedon.Letthedevice
preheatforabout10minutes.Thenturnthetemperaturecontrolknobtothelowestlevel
(MIN)andunplugthedevice.Openthelidandletthedevicecooldowncompletely.Cleanthe
bakingplateswithapapertowelorasofttowelassoonastheyhavecooleddown.
Takecare:whenusingthedeviceforthefirsttime,somesmokemaycomefromthebaking
plates.Thisisnormal.

Makingwaffles
1.Placethedeviceonaheatresistantflatandstablesurface.
2.Prepareawafflebatter.Youcanuseyourownrecipeortherecipeyouwillfindinthis
instructionmanual.
3.Inserttheplugintothesocket.Theredindicatorlightwilllightuptoindicatethatthedevice
isswitchedon.
4.Setthedesiredtemperaturewiththetemperaturecontrolknob.
5.Thegreenindicatorlightwilllightupassoonasthedevicehasreachedthesettemperature,
toindicatethatthedeviceisreadyforuse.
6.Openthelidandpoursomeofthewafflebatterontothemiddleofthebottombakingplate.
Takecare:incaseyouusetoomuchbatter,somebattermayflowoutofthedevice.Leave
thebatteratleast2cmawayfromthesides(seeFig.1).

8.Waitabout2‐3minutesuntilthewaffleisdryandevenlybaked.
Takecare:whenpreparingarecipeforthefirsttime,itmaybenecessarytoexperimentwith
thetemperaturecontrolknob.Whenthetemperatureissethigher,thewaffleswillturn
browner.Afterthefirstwaffleyoucansetthetemperaturehigherorlowertoachievethe
desiredbrowningofthewaffle.Theexactbakingtimewilldependonyourtasteandthetype
ofbatterandingredientsused.
9.Openthecover.
10.Removethewafflefromthebakingplatewithaheatresistantnylonorwoodenutensil.
Takecare:neveruseanymetalutensilsonthebakingplatesastheycandamagethe
non‐stickcoating.

Cleaningthedevice
1.Removetheplugfromtheplug‐socketandletthedevicecooldowncompletelybefore
cleaningit.
2.Cleanthedevicewithadampcloth.
Note:neveruseabrasives,bleachingagentsorsteelwooltocleanthedevice.Thiscould
causedamagetothematerial.
3.Cleantheconeaccessoryinsoapywaterandletitdrythoroughly.

1.Taketheplugfromtheplug‐socket.
2.Letthedevicecooldownentirely.
3.Keepthedeviceandtheaccessoryinacool,dryplace.Thedevicecanbestoredhorizontally
orvertically.
